In general the hotel is clean but is definitely due for some touch ups. The hallway has an overpowering cleaning supply smell, the carpets looks quite worn and stained, and our room had a strong cigarette smell. The buffet breakfast was not the same quality I remember, but the eggs-to-order station is nice.

Housekeeping staff was very pleasant, helpful and respectful.

Front desk staff was professional but not warm or inviting.

I've stayed at this hotel several times since 2017, mostly for the indoor pool on a rainy day. Not sure I will come back. The price is reasonable, the room is comfortable, but I don't think the experience is comparable to others in the same pricepoint.

The best thing about the hotel location is great . It is around many eateries. They are in walking distance. The breakfast was awesome. The chef was very friendly. He always had a smile and friendly. The staff were friendly. The negative about this hotel . The drainage system is not great . The tub was draining properly. I had to call about it . They fixed it , but left the tub dirty. The stopper in the tub and sink didn’t work . The sink in the living area didn’t work properly. I look under the bed . It look like they don’t clean under the bed . A lot of dust . Trash under the bed . Need to take the curtains down and wash them . Stains on the curtains. The bathroom is also small . Looked under the cabinet in the living area . It was dirty .

Excellent breakfast, had an omelette bar and waffle maker. Room was clean but the toilet paper holder and the towel hanger on the bathroom door was broken. The water pressure in the shower was weak. I informed the front desk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Room is big and had a separate living room.

I reserved a 2 bed room and upon check in, the room door was wide open and it was a one bed. I specifically needed 2 beds since I was on a work trip and needed 2 beds. One person was forced to sleep on the sofa bed.
I was told I would be refunded 20% and that didn’t happen. I’ve called the hotel 3 times now.

The heater wasn’t working, so they brought a portable heater to us. There was a terrible smell coming from the plumbing. The maintenance guy came to check it out, and he was so apologetic for the issues. He said there was definitely an issue with the plumbing underneath. Embassy said they would give me $18 back for parking for the night, but that’s not okay with me. The room smelled horrible in the middle of the night. I have always booked with Embassy, but this has put a terrible taste in my mouth.

Beautiful to walk through and enjoy the space. It's a wonderful room and the staff was welcoming. There could be more air fresheners added to the room so the room doesn't smell old and the lighting behind the TV wasn't operating.

Staff was very courteous. We were a party of 3 assigned to a \"disabled guest\" room. Bathroom had 2 sets of towels. I asked for a 3rd set which was promptly delivered. Only 1 drinking glass in the room, and the front desk didn't know which drinking glasses were used in the room, and directed me to the nearby convenience \"store\" to get paper cups. If there are multiple guests in a room, should give each guest his/her own meal \"card\" since we don't go to the hot food line at the same time.

My stay at the Embassy suites by Hilton Los Angeles Downey was very good. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was always very helpful, the only critique I have is that the restroom in our room was beat up the sliding glass door to our shower was missing the other door and tile inside were wobbly. Other then that the stay was amazing.

Room was not stocked with towels correctly and missing coffee cups for the in room coffee maker. Requested towels and cups from front desk twice early in the evening. Did not get towels until until 6 am and never got the cups. Some other items that did not live up to expectations for a Hilton hotel, white spots on curtains, damaged flooring in living room and brokem power plugs and usb ports on various lamps.

The room was clean, it was really cold it didn’t have a heater, we asked for one they had none. We got 2 blankets that did not helped. We had no drinking water, no conditioner and no iron.

Day one the breakfast was delicious. I did not anticipate a good omelette. But I was wrong. The omelette was as good as some I have made myself. Day two the omelette was decent. The sides were not that great. The potatoes were cold and the sausage links were overcooked..

I attempted to attend the happy hour. Too many people. I would like to suggest additional bartenders or servers needed to make it run better. Due to the crowd I skipped the event.

Day one- room it was lacking soap. Given this was a suite I would expect the basics would be the room. Eventually got it on Day two.

Staff- this is an fyi for those answering emails. I never got a proper answer on the two emails I sent.

1st email on parking fees. I did not drive for my visit and wanted to confirm I would not be charged. A relatively easy question that could have been answered. Eventually it was answered by the clerk manning the check-in desk on Friday.

Second was on digital checkin- I had questions on this process since I had never used it. The website appeared to indicate this was an optional process folks could use for contactless arrival.
All I received was a verbatim response on using the digital process and not answering my question. I again inquired on the process when I checked in. “The process was not required after all” it would have been appreciated if someone responded to my concern earlier.

Rooms not ready at 4pm check in time. When we got into the room the smell was horrible. The hard floors were sticky and the carpets were not vacuumed showing what appeared to be pet hair and trash and old food. There was what appeared to be unwashed blood on the bedding. There was no toilet paper in the restroom and the shower was visably dirty. The lights in the living room were broken and flashing like a disco. When I tried to call from the bedroom the phone did not work. I went to the other phone and sat on the sofa that turned out to be wet, leaving me wet. So gross. There were no other rooms available. They did send housekeeping to correct some of the issues with the room. We have stayed bfore and not had a room in this condition but this stay would not prompt me to stay again.

The hotel seems to need a lot of work. Chipped paint and broken doors. Carpeting smells like a wet dog. Bathroom door locks don’t work. The mini fridge is tiny and barely fits anything. On check in be aware $150 deposit + $25 for early check in + $18 if you want to park in their parking lot which is baffling since I just paid $250 to stay in their hotel. Will absolutely not be staying there again.

The room wasn’t ready for our party. We were a group of 6 and there was only 1 towel in there and no shower curtain. It took over an hour, and asking at the front desk 3 times before we were able to get the curtain and towels. Normally that would be “whatever”, but it was 10:00 at night, we had kids, and needed to get to bed. Everything else about the stay was good, but that part was frustrating.

Great location. Close to everything from shopping to eating. The daytime staff was truly helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Being winter time, the room thermostat was not operational for heat or ac. Spoke to the young lady at the desk during the nighttime and she didn’t really seem to care but, overall the stay was satisfactory.
