Premises are in a state of disrepair . Carpets worn, faded and stained. Towels ragged, ratty, and inadequate. Buffet breakfast just adequate. No restaurant available and only uninspired snacks offered during the day. The place is isolated and one has to take a taxi to find dinner
Service. The « spa » is a joke with a broken jacuzzi. Avoid this dump at all costs.

Close to the airport. Close to the waterfalls park. Rio de Uruguay bus stops right in front of the hotel (and drops off across the street. The restaurant has great food. If you are looking for a hotel with spacious rooms, near the airport/park, and with food on site then this hotel is perfect.

My room was spacious, but the bathroom needed to be updated. No big deal.

Small airline type pillows. No coffee pot in room. You have to use room key to turn on power so the hall and room was like and oven. It finally started to cool when we left to check out. We arrived 30 min after restaurant closed. They should have pre-made sandwiches/fruit plates to sell to late arrivals. Kids were playing hide-n-go seek so running up and down hall outside room.

The hotel is located in a good area but is far from being a 4 start hotel. The hotel needs update. The hallway’s shades are old and need to be changed. The pool need repairs and the furniture in the rooms are old and uncomfortable. The staff however were nice and courteous. The breakfast was real good.

I was finishing up my tour of Sth America with a stay at this nice hotel ... 4 stars! Great deal! Thinking I would splash out... unfortunately the pool and jacuzzi were under maintenance... not advised at the booking point. I know it is the cooler months but this is a tropical area so I wanted to use the pool.. I know they have to do maintenance at some point but it was the lack of info to advise beforehand as to why I got a good deal... they did have a nice sauna and steam room... though the steam room didn’t seem to work very well...
In addition it was a distance out of town without shuttle services into town and not many facilities and limited dinner options

When first walking into the foyer it looks impressive but room is in need of maintenance from a good clean to fixing blocked shower heads to dripping taps. Breakfast included was the best part of this hotel.

We loved the facilities, the breakfast, the service at Reception, the process of checking in and out... but we did find there were insufficient towels for us (number of towels for the number of guests) and the room had not been vacuumed properly (rubbish from previous guests found under the bed).

well. for $100 a night i expect outlets that work with American plugs, sheets that cover you completely when the wall a/c unit just blows cold and doesnt stop all night, i would expect they can change $20 usd into pesos so i can get a cab to the airport without having to ask the manager. i would expect a restaurant on the property with a la carte menu, instead of only buffet dinners. on the whole a very disapointing place but, given you are in the middle of a jungle, i guess not too bad.

The place is a total run-down. The carpet is filthy. Water pressure in the shower is very weak. There are a lot more hotels around that area to choose from. Staff from kitchen is wonderful to get boiled eggs & hot water.
Did not have time to explore the whole place bc we were too busy going to Brazil side for the fall 1/2 day & whole day for Argentina side

Gran Hotel Tourbillion Cataratas.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was overlooking the road and we had a terrace and the room type was mini suite . The room was spacious and well presented. No tea or coffee or kettle to make a coffee or rea in the room. There was no iron or board so you may ha e to ask if needed. Breakfast was buffet style and it was good. Lots of sweet treats and standard scramble eggs, bacon, cereal, juice ( orange) etc. The bed was not comfortable to sleep because the mattress seemed to high in the middle and then it felt it was pushing your body to the end of the bed as you sleep. Location was ok, had Cabañas and two pools, plus a pool bar. To get to places you need a taxi ride or get a car. No currency change was available in the hotel.

The service was over the top. Iguazu falls closed for a protest on the day we had planned to see it. The staff went out of their way to make sure we made the best of the day. The pool is clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. Rooms were clean and quiet. The only thing that needs work is the gym, with too little of open hours and a broken treadmill.

Not sure how it got a 4 star rating. 2.5-3 at best. Rooms not in the greatest conditions. Cracking, peeling, bathroom tiles falling off. Walls are literally paper thin, we had conversations with our kids through the walls. Bring ear plugs. On the main road, si you have to take a taxi to get anywhere. Better yo stay in town. Pool was nice. If you have little kids it will keep them occupied. Dont be fooled though, the jacuzzi is NOT heated, basically a cold dip. Breakfast is good, average for most hotels. Only hot eggs and bacon with lots of fruit and bread products. Dinner was cheap and tasty but service was slow even when empty. Staff us nice but speaks NO English. Hard to get basic requests answered, master Google translate before you go. Gym is ok but is only open in the afternoon for some reason. Unless you have little kids who will play in the pool and on the nice lawn and playground you are better off in town. Thin walls are a big problem.

Nice size room, breakfast had good coffee and juice. Hotel has a pool with poolside cafe. Pool is small but fun ambiance with music and lights. Overall this is a good place to stay on your trip to Iguazu. Short taxi ride to the small city center, 25 mins to the falls. We are happy we stayed here.

Great hotel, loved the pool and sauna. The room was comfy but the Breakfast was average and the WiFi terrible. The front desk staff were super helpful but the pool service was not pleasing as they offered guests our food and beer and we waited for a long time to get service. The town is much better option for food and service.

Delightful resort hotel with lots to offer.

Lovely setting, pool big enough for lap swimming (my wife loved it!). Large spacious room, great a/c, balcony faced pool and large garden/green space. Animal/cricket sounds at night were magical. We left patio door open at night to hear jungle sounds. Super breakfast choices, multiple tropical fruits, scrambled eggs, decent coffee (best with cocoa). Downsides: fridge not cold (needed defrosting badly), hotel policy forbids bringing in any food of your own, or you will be charged for entire overpriced contents therein. We felt we had to hide previously purchased oranges and wine. Too corporate in that respect. Fortunately no-food policy wasn’t strictly enforced, but it made us paranoid. Only hotel we’ve ever stayed at in over forty countries with this stated policy. Also, frequent short power outages first night. Staff helpful, but virtually no English spoken, disappointing for large international style hotel at top tourist site in entire country. Easy free parking, but due to location out of Puerto Iguazu, car/taxi necessary to access town and MAGNIFICENT Iguazu Falls. IceBar, mine/gem store next door. We would definitely stay again!

Close to iguazu falls and iguazu airport. The hotel needs a major redo. The floors are carpeted and stained and bumpy—tripped several times. The odour in the hallway is disgusting as well as what they call their menu. This hotel needs a good cleaning. Windows are filthy. Overall, other than location and a few pleasant staff—never again!!!!

Very comfortable resort hotel near the falls. Nice grounds, pool, spa, etc.
Bus it taxi to the falls just in front of the hotel. The only minus is the distance to the center of Puerto Iguazu where all the restaurants and shops are located.

This hotel has seen better days. It looked like it had once been a nice hotel but had fallen into disrepair. The hotel needed new carpets everywhere. In the lobby there was a sofa that had at one time been white but looked stained and dirty. My hotel room bathroom was in need of many repairs and was dirty. The sheets were dirty on the bed. The rug was dirty. The walls of my hotel room were paper thin and I could hear the conversations of both my neighbors in the adjoining hotel rooms.

The hotel and facilities were not bad. But the room was awful as the wall was super thin and there were 2 young children screaming arguing with their parents from before 7am until after 11pm at night. We asked the hotel staff to help address the issue but the response was eh there is nothing I can do. Disappointed and would not go back. Expect to carry your own bags to your room expect the front desk staff to be annoyed that you are interupting their facebook time.

For its price, it's great!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Two pools, which weren't empty of tree leaves, given we went at the end of the season. The restaurant fees were reasonable, the lomo sandwich was good, the burger wasn't.
If you're on a limited budget, Tourbillon is highly recommendable.

The lobby, pool and dining room were okay — fairly updated and seemed clean — but the room was a kindof creepy. A/C was n ot very strong or helpful given the high local temps. The \"packaged\" soap had clearly been used before and then put back in the packaging. Bedding was dingy and bed a pit soft. I felt the need to sanitize everything (which I did with wipes I brought with me). Walls were thin and easy to hear other guests through.

Front desk staff pretty helpful despite limited English.

Good value hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room clean, large and comfortable. Noticed that the pool was cleaned daily. Grounds well kept. Ariel in the Restaurant was very nice and took our dinner to our room. House keeping great. Breakfast was mediocre, needs more variety. We enjoyed our stay!!

Very good option to stay at Iguazu.

The hotel is located at the entrance of the town. Iguazu Park (Argentina) is very close. The facilities (gym, spa, pool, restaurant) are very nice and the people are eager to help you and make your stay very pleasant.

The hotel itself was elegant, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed comfortable beds and a walk in their beautiful gardens. It was unclear when dinner would be served, and we ate a modest meal at 5:30 rather than waiting until 8 for their buffet, which did look excellent. Possibly we did not understand what we had been told during check in and our misunderstanding could have been prevented. The pool and hot tub we're both drained at the time we visited, unfortunately, but looked fine to us. We had a fairly strong day long rainstorm the last day of our stay, and a small place in the hall ceiling began leaking. Nothing major. One of the elevators also was out of order. The hotel as a whole was delightful, however.

The room however shows signs of water leakage on the walls next to the windows and the wall paper needs replacement.
The breakfast is very ordinary and not up to the mark. For such a good and expensive hotel expected a much better breakfast and at least something warm.

Salvo a simpatia da recepcionista Keila, no mais tudo foi extremamente decepcionante! Uma pena ver um hotel em local tão bonito, completamente descuidado. Muito, muito sujo! Precisando de manutenção e cuidado! Escolhi pelas avaliações e as fotos do hotel. Era para ficar mais dias, mas só fiquei uma noite. Piscinas, jacuzzi, áreas externas, varandas e os quartos muito sujos. Pela situação atual do hotel, nem foi tão inesperado ver uma barata grande voando pelo quarto, até foi para ao banheiro, onde consegui matá-la.
