Breakfast was okay. Bagels were \"institutional\" (I'm a native New Yorker, so I have high bagel-quality standards). There was no \"regular\" black tea, only herbals: mint, orange spice, chamomile, raspberry, and one other I'm not recalling.

The service was excellent. The room was comfortable. Although \"wheelchair (or rollator) accessible\" was good for my partner, I missed having a standard desk chair.

If I could give this place a -5 I would. We had two rooms as we were a group of 7. Absolutely no towels for either room even after asking for them countless times. We were told they didn’t have any.. one of our rooms didn’t have a working A/C for the first two days finally was fixed for the last night.

I had a very disappointing and unacceptable experience at Sparkle Hotel Rahway.

The first room I was assigned was clearly not cleaned—there was a blood stain on the toilet, what appeared to be pubic hair in the sink, and the beds did not look freshly made. I immediately reported this to the front desk and was moved to another room.

Unfortunately, the second room was just as bad. The microwave was covered in fingerprints, the sink had visible dirt, and there was spilled juice on the countertop. On top of that, the room smelled strongly of smoke, which made it even more uncomfortable.

When I brought these issues up again, I was told no cleaning staff was available at the time, and no manager was on-site to issue a refund. As a result, I was left sitting in the lobby trying to figure out a solution because I refused to stay in either unsanitary room.

This level of cleanliness and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. Guests should not have to deal with these conditions or be left without immediate support. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience.

I requested more towels and toilet paper several times, it was never brought to me. My ac waa not working and it was uncomfortably warm, I had to request 4 times before someone came to check it, it was fixed but stopped working again during the evening. In the morning, I called again to request someone come look. No one came. I went downstairs to the desk, complained that no one had ever brought the items, manager (Rocky), stated that items aren't brought to the room, that I would have had to come down to request them. I stated that was not specified during check in. He had a terrible attitude, I asked for a partial refund due to being the majority of my stay. Rocky said, no, contact Expedia. I commented on his poor attitude and stated I'd never recommended this hotel to anyone. He stated \"good, we don't want people like you staying here anyway\". Breakfast only consisted of yogurt and bagels, should be advertised perhaps as continental breakfast. I would like a refund.

Our room was still dirty what bothered me is there look like poop on my sons bed asked them to give me clean sheets so I chocks change them never gave them to me so didn’t use the second bed pool had nasty white stuff floating in the pool when we got the the front desk man gave me a hard time but he turned out to not be so bad after I explained he was been rude an he did apologize.
Breakfast was not to bad never came to grab our trash so just sat there but over all u get what u pay for

Great room! Staff was very friendly and helpful!! VERY disappointed in the breakfast... Far worse than any other Hilton I've stayed at.., no hot food. Only hard boiled eggs. I'm used to little omelets, sausage or bacon at other hiltons. And even cheaper motels had make your own waffles or pancakes. They had bagels and muffins but they were on the stale side. At least there was a toaster. There were fresh oranges and apples but no bananas. A yogurt and cereal were offered... The first morning I came down at 8:30 and the coffee was gone and I couldn't find the salt or pepper for the hard boil eggs. The second morning the eggs were definitely what was left from the day before and MUCH harder to peel. I would DEFINITELY stay here again though because it was SO easy to drive to the Staten Island Ferry (which is FREE!) and take the subway to anywhere in the city. $3 subway fare is a real bargain! Definitely worth staying at, just skip the breakfast and eat at one of the great Jersey dinners.

The only negative thing is the fact that the NJ Transit train was cancelled on two occasions, which reduced our time spend in Manhattan by a few hours. This had nothing to do with the hotel.

The greeting staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and a good location with a good view. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family. My only concern was that I was told at check in for my 3 night stay, I was being upgraded to a suite due to availability. He also explained that it was important I know that if I stayed there in the future, an upgrade is not guaranteed. It appears I was charged an extra $150 for the upgrade.

This hotel is a 10/10!!! Check-in was a BREEZE. David was friendly and welcoming. The room was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was a little small however, it was perfect for us (family of 4)! It was clean and by the set up, I can tell that they care. Tables had towels neatly rolled for our use. Breakfast was great, nothing fancy but definitely fresh and clean. There was an employee constantly cleaning and making sure everything was filled for us to enjoy. I would love to return in the summer to be able to enjoy more outdoor views.

My main issue was in my room no ice bucket for ice and no cups. My refrigerator in room really did not keep drinks cold . Especially for hotel to represent the Hilton Brand this situation could have been better. A fight broke out on my floor in the early morning when I was trying to sleep. Walls too thin. Room Clean bed amazing and staff very gracious and respectful.

Plenty of parking and close to several nice local shoppes. Front entrance was clean and the room was decently clean. Only complaint would be to ensure staff are cleaning under couch cushions and make sure shower curtains are changed. There were dirty fingerprints in top of shower curtain where you could see it was changed after each stay. No microwave but did have a small fridge. Room was bigger than expected and perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was nice with bagels cereal juices and coffee. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay and would go back.

I was displeased my safety was at risk after I tuck my kids in I realized the door wouldn’t lock . I notified the front desk on day 1 I took hours for a response after being tuck in for hours I got a response from front desk to change my room that was impossible my babies was sleep so they said sure the door with the top lock. So I put a desk table at door so no one can enter without me hearing . In the morning I reported again as there reminder the send a handyman without tools to check it later. Then they wanted to change room but it was impossible because I kids with sleep disorder once they fall asleep I have to let them sleep. My safety was at risk . I was very displeased and had no sleep for watching door .. a room was never available because hotel was booked completely

Nothing horribly wrong with the hotel. Just a different experience from a higher priced location. The rooms were clean and had what we needed. The breakfast isn't what we call breakfast. It offered few options with suggestions to \"spark your imagination\" to give you some ideas to do with what they had to offer. The pool area was small but clean. Good experience for what we paid to see New York at Christmas time.

Overall a decent stay. The shower had the hot water security thing on it, so, don't expect a hot shower after being in the cold NYC air all day. 30 minutes to the ferry to get to NYC, and a short drive to many other stores. Like I said, overall decent and clean.

Overall is good the only problem is the breakfast menu was bad. There is almost nothing to eat as compare the other hotels. No scrambled eggs, no toast, no juice option, no black tea etc.
Just the serials and boiled egg in the breakfast menu, and the boiled eggs we cold like that was left overs from two days ago.
