About Best Western Port Aransas

Set three blocks from the wide-open Port Aransas beach, this family getaway offers everything a vacationer is looking for. Our casual rooms & studio suites open to the outdoors with easy access to your vehicle and no waiting for an elevator.

Our hotel has two stories, so upstairs rooms are easily reached by open-air stairwells. Each room features a King bed with a sofa-sleeper or two queen beds, and all rooms include a microwave and small refrigerator.

Our spacious studio suites include a full-size refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, and dishwasher, along with cooking and dining ware for four. In the morning, visit the breakfast room in our lobby for a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items.

Once you’ve filled your plate, step outside and enjoy breakfast on our outdoor garden under the morning shade. Between trips to the beach, relax by our outdoor pool or dive in!

Our temperature-controlled pool is heated in the winter and chilled in the summer so it’s always the perfect temperature for year-round enjoyment. Take a 10-minute walk along the sidewalk to the beach or drive a couple minutes and park on the sand.

Better yet, rent a golf cart so your family can cruise in style all over the town center and along the beach. We provide special overnight parking for your rental cart.

Our central location shares the corner with Port A Pizzeria, a convenience store, and a golf cart rental, and we’re within walking distance to shops and more restaurants. Our welcoming staff is always ready to recommend one of the thirty local restaurants sure to meet your tastes.

Try your luck at a last-minute trip or plan in advance for one of the annual festivals including Whooping Crane Fest, Sand Fest, Beachtober Music and Food Festivals, Mustang Fest, Harvest Moon Regatta, fishing tournaments, and more. Pack your sunscreen and head down to Port Aransas.

With a stay at Best Western Port Aransas in Port Aransas (Old Town Port Aransas), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Port Aransas Beach and Holiday Beach. This hotel is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from Port Aransas Museum and 0.8 mi (1.2 km) from Port Aransas Birding Center.

Make yourself at home in one of the 49 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and microwaves. Your room comes with a pillowtop bed. To start the receptionist which (Chisty) didn't give me instructions, I had to ask her where the room was? The breakfast time and check out? Also, she asked for my card, I had to ask her for what since she wouldn't explain anything and the room was reserved and pay prior, there was a hold of $176 for the night to make sure nothing gets damage, that is a lot. Anyone must make sure they have funds in this hotel. The room had a weird smell not sure what it was, but it was really bad, the sofa was dirty, the area even the outside was dirty as well. This place really needs care. The breakfast was good but other than that my experience was terrible.

Hotel was great! Front desk was helpful when we had questions. Beach is about 10 min walk from beach! I will advise that if you’re going to the beach, you will need a permit otherwise you will get a ticket. Other than that, hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and the breakfast is ok.

The parking lot had trash/ food everywhere. There was a bucket of dead fish and shrimp outside our hotel room. I found a bath pouf and a dirty sock on the floor in our room. The clerk at check in was very rude. I was told my stay was non fundable and after spending almost $700 we made due. With all the possibilities for places to stay we will not be back nor would I recommend the Best western Port A anyone. The only positive thing was it was quiet.

Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. Property was outdated and some of the amenities and room items didn’t work (Phone, lamps). We showed up and there was sand in the room and after staying there for a week the room was never serviced. We ended up having to get towels and other consumables our selves. I would stay here in a pinch but not with other options available for the price.

This was my second stay…and my LAST! These guys tried to charge me $20/ per room to check in2 hours early 2 rooms they said were ready. When I refused and came back in 2 hours, they claimed the rooms were not ready. We had to wait another hour. There are other and better hotels in the same price range. This one sucked.

The property was very dirty, so since the the property was so dirty we didn’t even want to look at the room, so we canceled since we arrived so early in the morning and we went to Holiday Inn and there we were referred to Hotel Lydia and there was a room available this is a very clean hotel the rooms are excellent, beautiful with a full fridge and a kitchen, clean and very quiet, we were Blessed, the management is excellent and accommodating and the price was a lot less here than Best Western, the location is prime next to the pier and a park to fish and restaurants.

We choose this property, in part, due to its location. It’s right on an access road to the beach and centrally located to shopping and restaurants. My check-in was smooth. Clerk was helpful, upbeat and positive. Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with multiple hot food choices, fresh waffles along with all the standard fare. Staff was active with food item refills and eating area was clean.

They had my reservation recorded wrong and made me work with the 3rd party to reconcile. Was frustrating and tiresome. After being on the phone for another hour the hotel had recorded the reservation wrong and fixed it. Then my keys failed because of the change and I had to go to front desk again.

Room although seemed okay (there was not visable mold) smelled like mold and the floor was constantly wet and sticky (laminate seemed to sweat from humidity vs AC.

We reserved two rooms with pull out beds because we had children. No one told us the pullout beds are no longer a feature. We found out the first night we went to sleep. My adult daughter had to sleep on a small couch so her kids didn't have to sleep on the floor. I called to complain and was told \"oh well\". I have never paid for my family to sleep on the floor or a tiny sofa. We had been here before, but we will not be returning. My family are not dogs that can be mistreated

This is a very neglected property. There was a gap in the door to our room that let pests in. The lobby had bookshelves hiding a huge mess with scraps of hotel parts like a junkyard. Breakfast was a bust. The only thing it had going for it is it's in a very convenient location.
