Melissa
The beds were firm, room was clean. Everything in brochure as promised. Weather didn't allow us to swim. Pool is small. Room was not sound proof and upstairs guests were very loud.

There was trash on the floor when we first got in the room. The sink didn’t drain and the breakfast was pathetic.
Mingo
Great walking distance to clubs and restaurants. Blankets had human hair balls .breakfast cereal had ants, breakfast was cereal bagels and waffles. No eggs sausage or bacon
Janeth
It was awesome. I loved it. I will be coming back here. Next time I come to Port Aransas.
Ronni
Definitely wish the AC blew harder in the room it was not cold enough for me annd same breakfast offered everyday but otherwise would stay there again.
Blanche
The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Good location.
Veronica
Great air conditioning and great location close to beach and bars
shira
The photos of the Inn and rooms make it look a bit more than it is - an elevated Motel 🤷🏻♀️
✅✅ Staff was very nice and helpful
⚠️ but the grounds are not in great shape.
✅✅ Room was clean and convenient and AC was good,
⚠️ but the window is towards the walkway so people can see in.
⚠️ The fridge froze up our fruits/veggies so we had to throw it away, the sink water pressure was very low, and TV only has a few working channels and no guide.
➡️ Overall it worked fine, just know what to expect.

Good a/c in rooms. Breakfast was ok, no protein just breads. Good place for a night or 2.
Merry
I expected more from the breakfast considering the price of the room. The breakfast was very limited and did not include any hot items such as eggs, bacon, or sausage.
Other than that, everything else was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, and the air conditioning worked very well.
A big plus was that the room had a dehumidifier, which is a great feature for a beach hotel because the humidity is very high. It made the room much more comfortable.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

A big plus was that the room had a dehumidifier, which is a great feature for a beach hotel because the humidity is very high. It made the room much more comfortable.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
Amy
Room and price were on point. Pool was cute but no lights at night. Kitchenette and dishes and silverware were provided. Had microwave, fridge, and two top electric stove. Staff very nice. Breakfast was ok. Was literally breads and cereals. Had waffle makers for waffles. Juice, milk, and coffee. Beach was definitely 10 min walk. Close to food and shops. Definitely satisfied
Tracy
Love this place very comfortable and great location
Leigh Ann
Room was not very clean but the bed was amazing. Breakfast is was very limited. Parking was terrible. Staff was super nice.

We have stayed here about once a year or so for 10+ years. I will not stay here or recommend again as I have always done in the past. The property is not being maintained as well as it use to be, the breakfast is not as fresh, well stocked or taken care of as it should be. i.e. orange juice was just water, touch the water and it went everywhere but into a cup. Not enough napkins, fruit, breads etc. - not stocked when low. No one really \"seeing to\" it. The room was not as clean as usual - for the first time ever I really worried about bed bugs. Had several bug bites that I think (hope) were mesquitos. No tissues, no hair dryer (that has happened twice now) just enough towels - 2 each of wash clothes, hand towels, and bath towels, not even a do not disturb sign. When we stay for just 3 days or so, we keep that out so that they don't have to clean unnecessarily. Just did not have a \"clean, well taken care of feel\" like it use to have. I could have asked for the missing amenities, but those are items I should not need to ask about, should have been provided. I noticed this the last 3 times we stayed, each time getting worse, so this is definitely the last time for our family to stay there. I have enjoyed our stays throughout they years until lately, and hate that it has come to this. It has now become a \"get what you pay for place\" only you still don't get your monies worth. SAD.
Nicole
Staff was excellent, rooms clean, pool clean but could use more lounge chairs. Price was a bit too high.
Kimberley
Definitely an older place but for the price it was great.
Jennifer
Really was clean and spacious for our family. Just tough in that they had not put any toilet paper in the bathroom, nor given us enough towels. And no hair dryer. But, front desk was pleasant and tried to help us. Ice machine was totally empty, which was disappointing.
Liliana
Upon arrival and check in staff told me he could not find my reservation, which I had already booked and paid for days in advance, frustrating to say the least . A lady behind me was also checking in and he told her he couldn’t find her reservation. I believe they need to work on their system because it was just unacceptable. Check ins should be quick & easy.
The room was decent/clean enough. But the air conditioner was broken it was very humid / muggy in the room super uncomfortable to sleep in and staff provided a fan which did not help. Housekeeping did come by early to check in to see if you needed any extra towels.Pool is small goes to 3ft , 4ft , 5ft. I never felt the need to leave a review but I could not let this experience go without warning others .

Had a great time at the Captain's Quarter. The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds was comfy. We rented a room with a kitchenette, we brought our own cookware but realized we forgot a few things, luckily the kitchen was equipped with everything we neede. We also enjoyed the well maintained pool.
Rhonda
Older hotel with 2 floors. No elevator. Very clean rooms and very nice and helpful staff. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Room had coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, and blow dryer. Will not let you check in before 3, even if your room is ready. Didn’t use the pool area but it looked nice and had BBQ pits and a covered area. Pool itself was small. I would go back to this place.
Alejandro
Great stay as always. Love the free waffles
Manuela
Air conditioner in room was super loud. Coffee maker in room didn’t work. Stairs and balconies dirty, toilet in room had hair left on it. Mirror was still dirty. Breakfast was ok! For the price it’s ok I guess
Rusty
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Kate
Great Location. I guess they allow you stay with dogs.
Jeanette
Good for what we needed as a one day stay
Michelle
The room was very dirty the pull out bed was full of dirt and black stuff on the bed dirty floors and roaches coming out the too. Poorly cleaned
Martin
We had an issue with our room, the staff made sure we were accommodated. Thank you
Bonnie
Traveled with 2 year toddler & 9 month old furbaby. Good stay. Now, this is a older property and could use small updated amenities and necessities. Grounds were clean. Plenty of parking. Breakfast selection was good. Location has plenty food selections around and beach is right up the road straight shot about 5 minute drive.
ROLAND
Great location. Older complex but good for a quick trip to the beach.
Christopher
Barely decent, but cheap.
Erika
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Decent looking facilities. You can tell they’ve remodeled. Rooms could have been cleaner. Behind beds and furniture is not very clean. Pool was nice.
Brianna
Clean room staff is amazing and friendly air conditioning is great

A little run down. Continental breakfast lacked a little to be desired. Price was good, just don’t expect a lot.
Michelle
Very clean and near everything!
Tony
Room had odd smell, baby spiders & gnats in bathroom area, black hair in sink, bathroom light couldn’t be turned on without extremely loud exhaust fan coming on with it. I’m only 5-11 and 200 pounds; however, I could barely fit in there… Only things good were the cost & the friendly staff.

The air conditioner was good but the breakfast they didn't have much of anything not good.
Alejandro
What is there to say except for thank yall! Everytime we come and stay with yall, it’s always friendly staff and guests, hot waffles for my son, and a grand ole time at the beach. Location is great! Located in Old Port A, it’s right across from dolphin docks fishing charters and just down the road are Robert’s point, the ferry, the tackle shop, and the top restaurants on the island in my opinion (fins and Virginia’s) the road also has the sipyard for live music and a little pina colada. Will always book at least once a year to support! Will be back!
Linda
Great location within walking distance to Marina, Park, shops, restaurants & local watering holes.
Jeff
Floors were dirty, microwave didnt work. No silverware to use so we could cook meals in kitchenette. Shower head water barely comes out to shower. Have stayed there 3 other times in a 4 year time and no complaints . Was a nice place..has gone down hill since our last visit. Probably wont return.
Charles
Very nice hotel, excellent, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and hotel is in a very convenient location.
Andrew
Everything was good.
Rafaela
Over all stay was great! Room was clean and location was super convenient! Staff were super friendly. Showers were hot. AC ran cold. Only complaint was the bed. Was very hard and uncomfortable but overall it was a great stay!
Abel
Floors were super dirty. Staff was very unhelpful check and took over 45 minutes.
Dennis
Laundry facility was full of sand!!
Alice
We were well satisfied with our stay at Captain’s Quarters. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. We had a setback with the microwave, but within the hour, it was resolved. I will definitely return to this location. Thank you to the kind staff.
Yvette
Staff were amazing

i would not rate this place 1/2 a star the pictures they are showing is not even close to what the place looks i do not recommend staying there when open the door you right then it was bad the chair and couch had stains on them the bed room looked like would even think about sleeping there there was the smell of clorox bleach when opened up the door just a nasty place

Everything was “not quite ready”. From room check-in, morning coffee and breakfast. Room was pretty good, although didn’t live up to what advertised on website. Small but comfortable, but for only 4 cars there, you’d think a slightly early check-in, and breakfast and coffee would be ready.
Keith
I think you may have an extreme mold problem. I’d get a mold test kit and put it in your rooms. I had an extreme headache till I went outside in some fresh air this morning. Everything else was acceptable but get it checked out could smell the musty mold smell when we walked in.
Robert
Was great 😃👍💖
Kelly Gene
The staff are friendly. Free breakfast is always a good perk. There was a little snafu that happened; a man walked into our room while we were there and later our key card didn’t work so I’m assuming they had given our room to somebody else but I guess it was corrected because no issues after that. The room was clean but there were stains on the towels. They should replace and upgrade the towels. We were thankful that we could bring our two small dogs with us for a fee. I stayed here about a month ago and wanted to stay here on a return trip. It is a great location for everything.
Paris
The room had a funky smell, it was like mildew trying to be covered with bleach, it gave my wife and I headaches. We had to leave the window open.
Raquel
Clean room and very friendly staff will love to plan my future stays with them.
Belinda
Great place and super convenient for the price.
terry
Room was usual to their standards (we have stayed here often within last 10 years). Quality of amenities has declined. No kleenex in room, outdated food in complimentary breakfast, much less variety. Water was off one morning, but that wasn't their fault, but meant no coffee, etc. Just not up to the standards of the past. Prices reasonable and rooms good.
Sara
Great stay!
Colleen
👍
Jonathan
Room floor was very dirty, water from kitchenette sink stunk like rotten eggs. Dead bugs on floor and ac stopped working in the middle of the night.
Hugo
Dead roach in bathroom
Wife bite by bug that night
Checked out a day early
Never coming back
This was prepaid as well
This website did not work in my favor
I won’t use the website that cannot adjust to an adverse accommodation!

Staff needs to be more attentive. But were responsive to solve problems. Nice property, good beds and pillows, a/c was quiet and worked well enough. Shower head worked fine. The pool was very enjoyable, well maintained with nice landscaping. Lots of palm trees. The parking lot was very well lit, at night Felt safe. TV worked pretty good. Breakfast was okay. Just cereal and waffles, with some yogurt, muffins and some toast. But for the price, I had a nice stay.
Carl
Clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower.
Jeff
I have stayed at Captains Quarters many times, this visit was less than desirable. Poor customer service, paint peeling in the room. For 150 a night I expected a lot more.
Magaly
Clean room close to the beach

Hotel staff did not speak English very well at all and we're very difficult to understand and communicate with. The breakfast was a total disappointment, only a few stale bagels and toast, two waffle makers one of which was broken, and some fruit that had been there for several days. Breakfast not at all is advertised. Worst of all the smoke detector in my room was hanging by a wire and the room needed to be updated. I informed the clerk I was checking out a day early by letting them know 24 hours in advance. She said that they were still charge me for the room regardless. I would suggest a different hotel.
Angie
Would stay again.
The room was cool, clean & the bed was very comfortable.
MARIO
Parking is safe and breakfast was decent.
Anthony-Alicia
Staff were courteous and friendly! Manager came and brought us a working TV remote when we asked. Room was clean.
Lesley
It was a quick stay, all was good.
Juanita
Clean room and looked as advertised!
edward
dryer was out of order, first day there waffle batter very watered down second day was great.
MARYANN
It was very clean
Bridget
Quaint, clean, comfortable
Other than not being able to check in even a minute early, it was a great experience. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room was also remarkably quiet, as you know hotels can sometimes not be the greatest when it comes to other guests.
Daniel
I liked the previous owners more, did find big dead water bugs in the room.
Deborah
Very disappointed!!
I was very disappointed on my room. Cleanness, my trash was never thrown, roaches in the room, when i mention this it was as if they didn't care. I will never stay there again
Andres
Everything was Incrediblely Great. From the Kindness and Professional attendance from \"Cherry\" to the Room itself. Although if I may, after a Long drive from San Antonio I would like to be able to Check In a little sooner to rest awhile before hitting the Beach rather than 4 O'clock. But otherwise, I Loved It. Hope to be attended by \"Cherry\" next time I go.
Faye
Everyone was lovely. The place is old so it shows a little but overall nice. Very convenient.
Rhonda
The property is fine nothing special. Not a lot of dining options close by. More within a short drive.
Steve
Breakfast was not very good, waffles only. Fruit was spoiled. No milk for cereal. Coffee was cold. Had to request room cleaning and supplies for restroom. The only positive was the location on the Island was great. Pool had sand in bottom.
