The property is such a beautiful place that brings you back to your childhood memories. They have all the amenities you need for your family which was very accommodating and a shuttle to take you to universal studios right outside the hotel. This is our second time at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Stayed for one night with my wife and I can’t say we will be back. There was trash and dirty plates just left out in the hallways outside rooms. Most of our outlets did not even work in the room. The Starbucks line was extremely slow despite a plethora of workers. The staff was super friendly at least and everyone seemed to be enjoying the pools but were crossing this one off as “don’t need to return.”

It is always so lovely! Family friendly , they meet characters in the lobby and they have a whole water section for kids. The rooms are amazing! I booked a view of volcano bay and it did not disappoint if you were just staying at the hotel there is much to do,

The check in process was horrid. We stood in line for over 30 minutes and were completely ignored. When they finally helped us, the lady who checked us in was rude and had no knowledge of the property, Universal or anything helpful in any way.
The room was disgusting! The smell of chlorine and bleach was overpowering in the hallways & in our room. The headboards were peeling and covered in dirt. The bathroom had hairs on the wall and shower that did not come from us. The floor in our room was wet!
The proximity to Universal City Walk is not as claims. Or maybe it was the fact that no one could even tell us how to walk there from the hotel property.
We got something to eat at the bowling alley. It was not appetizing! It tasted old and greasy.
We paid to park at the hotel then we had to take Ubers or pay additional parking at Universal.
Overall, I would NEVER stay at this property. I would never let my enemies stay at this property!
We will NEVER be back.

The rooms were spacious and clean, staff very helpful. Worked hard to find us 2 rooms close together. Great view of pool area and volcano in waterpark near by. Food court is very large, has, lots of variety of foods and fast process to get through. Took grandchildren age 12 and 7, they loved the pool and hot tub. Location was very close to Universal, Disney, and Seaworld.

We liked our family room suite- it was clean, quiet and dark when we slept. The beds were comfortable but the chairs in the room and throughout the resort are cheap and not comfy to sit in. The staff wasn’t very friendly, they were on the robotic side, just going through the motions. Check in was particularly not friendly. The luggage check guys were the best, they are the ones to answer your questions. The pool was warm and clean, and geared for smaller kids- very shallow and there are two ducks swimming in it which means people feed them and they then do, you know what in the pool. The big issue were the gates into the pool- they either didn’t work with the key and, if the did, they are heavy and old which makes it very difficult for kids and elderly to open. I strongly recommend the resort update these. The resort has a fun retro theme which hides some of its tiredness. I do recommend it for a family - friendly budget option. We used the early entrance one day (left ant 715) and slept in on the second day- had to wait 15 mins for the park bus at 830. These should be running more frequently? We had a blast at the parks and barely spent any time at the hotel except on checkout day. The maid woke us up knocking on our door at 845 when we were all trying to sleep in on check out day. So remember to put the do not disturb sign out!!!! She came back two more times. Check the coffee in your room. We kept on getting all decaf and had to keep going to the lobby to get that fixed.

Had a wonderful stay at Cabana Bay! The facilities are impressive, the pool is amazing and there are many conveniences and pros to staying here. The food offerings at the diner were pretty good for the price and although not anything remotely close to “fine dining” it gets the job done well for a theme park hotel. Staff were friendly enough but no one stood out, service was appropriate but not noteworthy. My only feedback is that the room bathroom could use a little “freshening up” as fixtures and caulking have seen better days. They could also offer a little more in terms of toiletries since they pretty much only had shampoo and body wash, would’ve liked to have some lotion provided but that’s not a deal breaker by any means. Overall we would be very happy to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Cabana Bay! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was fun, vibrant, and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the resort amenities made it easy to relax and enjoy our time.

There was a small technical blip with their computer system at check-in, but the staff handled it professionally and remained friendly and helpful throughout. It didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.

The pools, dining options, and overall convenience to everything made this a fantastic place to stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Cabana Bay to anyone visiting the area!

Cabana Cay really thought of their guests. Our family suite was provided with food utensils and all.Oh how we loved our room! very nice and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool, the arcade, and overall the place. Other than that, concierge needs to smile more :)

It was a clean place. Food was ok. My room key and the replacement I got only worked for our room. It did not work for any of the gates or pool area. Bowling area is very expensive and it would have been nice for the charges to be disclosed. Phone in the room didn’t work. The family suite was set up nicely. The shuttle to universal was nice. Probably worth the cost in the long run. I was disappointed because the extras I thought we could do at the resort were priced as such that it was not feasible. Bowling would have been $125 for 45 min for our family of 5.

Checkin was a bit long… housekeeping has a “unique” schedule. But highly recommend staying here. Very retro vibes; awesome bowling alley and heated lazy river. I will be back. Wish the old cars were out front though- only the Ford was there. Watched the flat 12 garage drop them off in 2015 on the car chasers. How I discovered this gem of a resort.

Our room was a good size, everything was a short distance. Food was good and really big portions compared to Disney’s. Bus system was quick and easy. Only complaint is that sometimes our room key would not work for opening gate to the pool and elevator. Will definitely stay here again. Was worth it for us!

The decor!! The mid century modern kitchyness is very well done: Vo5 shampoo bottles in the shower! the vintage bowling alley, the chandeliers- such an experience. Loved the 'Diner' with jumbo 'TV' screens playing video of old, old, old commercials. Staff is understanding & kind, even as we have so many questions, lol

90 percent of the staff was excellent. Check-in, bartenders, Volcano Bay help desk, maids, maintenance and luggage people all greeted and welcomed when we saw them. Most of the food service people were good (everyone at Starbucks incredible) but of all the places we ate and drank I would rate as Atomic Tonic as the best food w/good service. next is the Shake shop and the Hideaway behind. Farther down is the Galaxy Bowl although food and drinks were good we had to track down our service persons to pay (Both Times!). Finally the Pizza place in the Bayliner Diner was the lowest with meh pizza and pasta and a service person that behaved like she hated being there and was pretty non communicative (like at a fast food place elsewhere). Not bad but in comparison not so great. Fun time overall.

Our overall stay at Cabana Bay was great but the check in was awful. We arrived at 1am from Canada with 4 kids and even though no one was around (no other guests) the process took an absurdly long time. I believe it was over 30 mins. And-they informed us that our rooms were not only not adjoining with our kids -but on different floors and on the other side of the building. This was very upsetting for our 13 and 15 year old daughters who had never stayed on their own before and were unprepared for this development.
The employee kept repeating the phrase “if I’m being completely honest” so repeatedly that it sounded as though she was AI. We were too tired and didn’t have the energy to “demand” rooms together so after they claimed there was nothing they could do we just took what they offered. But- I do want to pass along the feedback now how extremely inconvenient and disappointing this experience was as we were only there for 2 nights and this really put a damper on our experience.

The room was kind of dirty. The floor looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The toilet on the side had dried vomit on it. When we would go out to dinner nightly it was hard to get to the car because the giant crates of laundry were all in front of the gate to get in and out of the hotel area. The staff were kind. But you could clearly see their preformance was based on how much they are paid. Some just did not care.

We had two connecting family suites (sleeping 12 of us) -- rooms were great very clean. Food court was open early and late and reasonably priced. We took advantage of the early park admission. Staff very helpful...very pricey to buy tubes for lazy river experience, lucky I knew ahead of time to bring my own tubes (which we left behind for someone else to use). Pools and grounds were nice. Cosmic bowling is a little pricey, so we didn't take advantage of it (although we would have liked to)
