Lovely views but a few small points for improvemen

A small quibble, it would be nice to be given a free bottle of water every day when the room is cleaned rather than just on your first night. Small things make a difference.
Also the restaurant cover charge of €4 per head is rather pricey and was imposed even though they didn’t provide gluten free bread as requested so one of us couldn’t even eat any of it.
However the views are stunning and the pool is lovely.

A true paradise, unmatched in my 40+ years' travel

Just an hour from city of Porto, high atop hills that look down a lake that fills the green valley, this hotel has no parallel in my 40+ years of travel. Well-appointed rooms, gentle and always available staff, a cosy bar, social room, lounge...All you could ask for. Sleep with window open, wake to the song of birds. Swim in the pool, or take the tightly snaking steep road down to the lake for sport. Or, go hike in the mountains that abut the Spanish border, explore the rich forests, unique landscapes strewn with granite boulders rounded by wind and rain over billions of years...This is paradise, and the hotel is your home.

Great views.
Hotel a bit tired looking.
Restaurant service levels poor, staff friendly but they just vanish never to be seen again!
Breakfast good.
Dinner dire. Expensive and the food wasn't cooked properly, served with frozen/tinned veg. We ate out mostly but choice was limited.
Pool decent and clean but a bit chilly.
Beds incredibly comfortable.
Dogs in the area barking all night long.
Nothing much to do in the area, the walks are not well signed, nowhere to cycle unless you're on the hairpin bends.

Not the best holiday ever.

Beautiful but not the best for small kids

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff was very courteous. We traveled with our young son and one of the downsides of the hotel was that dinner was not served until 8pm, normally our son's bedtime. There are not many other dining options nearby so we stuck with the hotel dining room, but the service was slow and even starting at 8pm, we didn't finish until almost 10, and our son was falling asleep at the table. Also, there were a lot of older couples who clearly did not appreciate having children around and when it was rainy there was nowhere for kids to play. It's much better suited for couples than families.

Es ist ein Berghote und hat eine traumhafte Lage, leider war das Wetter nicht sehr gut und es hat in stark Geregnet.
Das Zimmer war etwas in doe Jahre gekommen aber sonst ganz ok.
Gutes Essen und ein gutes Frühstück dürfte ich zu einem eher hohen Preis geniessen.

Très bon sejour en famille, le meilleur atout est clairement la position de l'hôtel, la vue est magnifique surtout depuis la terrasse du restaurant. Demander une chambre avec balcon, la vue sera plus dégagé que les chambres en rdc avec terrasse. Un peu déçus de l'accueil au restaurant par le responsable pas très enthousiaste.

Quartos pequenos, velhos, mobiliário degradado. Não valem de forma alguma o que é cobrado.
Falta de pessoal, recepção minúscula, tempo infinito para check-in e check-out. Sem bagageiro e sem elevador para transporte de malas para 2 pisos acima!
Cozinha sem capacidade de resposta. Mesa tem que ser reservada com muitas horas de antecedência não havendo lugar para em férias decidir o que apetece fazer em cima da hora.
Muito decepcionante!! (Face a muitas outras estadias que já fiz em Pousadas de Portugal)
Há outros hotéis de 5 estrelas com muito melhor relação qualidade / preço!

emplacement exceptionnel mais confort limite

La nuit que nous avons passé dans cet établissement était particulièrement chaude et la climatisation n'était pas du tout adaptée à la chaleur, de plus nous étions 3 dans une chambre de 2, le lit qui a été rajouté pour mon fils de 18 ans était plus petit que sa taille ! l'emplacement est certes exceptionnel mais ne suffit pas pas à tout faire passer...

Les équipements et la piscine étaient trés bien ainsi que le restaurant
