Komune is a fantastic resort for a beachfront stay. We loved the yoga and fully equipped gym. Beds were always available by the pool and there was a fun yet chilled vibe.

We booked a beachfront room and waking up to the sound of the waves was sooo nice! I also loved our private deck with lounger which was nice when you wanted to still lie out but away from the crowd.

The service was wonderful, everyone was lovely. The spa staff especially were excellent.

On the food, I will preface by saying we are foodies and had come from Ubud where you are spoiled for choice. It was a bit of an adjustment to the resort style food and whilst everything was nice, we did start to crave some different options. If you need a break from the restaurant there is a great warung (Warung Legong) on the main road.

Overall our stay was great! I would definitely recommend.

This is THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed at. I've traveled the world and stayed at beautiful hotels - but this one takes the cake. If your a health minded individual - this place is for you. There's great wave out the front for surfers, daily yoga, a large gym with daily classes offered. Rooms are clean. Staff are incredible. Food is great. Can't wait to go back.

Property grounds are great and very well kept. Very tranquil and private. Pool service a little slow as staff busy chatting to one another but dinner in the beachside restaurant was lovely. Booked with Expedia using VIP benefits but disappointing no room upgrade despite the room being available, check in staff indicated the “better more private rooms” but upgrade benefit blatantly ignored so worth noting this if hoping to benefit from VIP Expedia status.

Great adults pool area with healthy smoothies and drinks. Loved the beach club in the afternoons. Lovely beach area. Easy travel to Ubud for activities.
Unfortunately we had 2 very selfish families around us who would let their kids go outside at 7am and run screaming around, fighting and banging on others doors while the parents went back to bed. People are so rude and spoil the relaxing. We thought 4 mornings in a row was ridiculous. Shame as everything else was fabulous.

Second time stay and we were able to get complimentary upgrade. Thanks team.

This time of the year (dry season) it's onshore wind most of the time at Keramas, so you have to surf early. This means quite a crowded and competitive lineup in the mornings.

This is not a beginners wave and not really one where you can sit on the shoulder. It can get 6-8ft and very hollow (dangerous for beginners).

Also, at very low tide the wave does not break (dry reef), so it is not recommended to stay here if the tide is low in the mornings during this season (in the wet season it's not as important because the wind is offshore all day).

A few disappointments:

- BOTH treadmills in the gym are broken. We are marathon runners and couldn't do the training we needed to :(

- They stooge you with the ++ added to the bill (service charge plus tax). This adds to the bill CONSIDERABLY, so be aware.

- There is a problem with the locks on the external doors (opening out onto the swimming pool on the beachview room). If you pull the door closed firmly, the latch falls, locking you outside. This is potentially very dangerous.

- When we checked in, they put us in a family room (as per our booking) for the first night, and that room had a broken aircon. Also they did not give us the 300,000 Rp room credit until we asked for it, and had to \"ask the manager tomorrow\" for the complimentary upgrade.

We did enjoy our stay but these things could do with some attention.

Was better than a more expensive resort we moved onto.

Fantastic resort if you are a surfer. Keramas surf break is straight in front. Relaxed vibe, full of surfers and their families between 20 and 60+ age.
For the non surfer there is an excellent gym, lovely massage service and daily yoga. Kids club and babysitter service. Good prices for food and drinks just remember there is ++ added to every price, meaning everything actually costs 20% more (but it's still reasonable prices). Very friendly staff and we really can't say a bad thing about this place. We loved it and will be back for sure!

NOTE: Keramas is not a beginners wave. This is not the place to go and learn to surf, it is a world class wave and there is a lot of water moving around.

checking out and in took minutes this is a very well-oiled organization the other great thing here is the dining breakfast lunch dinner all very well priced and excellent food as there is no other real options outside of resort this is your only option but a good option, if you like surfing this is a must visit

We stayed here a few times before covid everything was good. this time we came back stayed almost 1 month,
Everything seems falling apart, rooms, restaurant, bathroom,kids play ground, towels, umbrella the are nasty.
Beach club restaurant: food not that great, service is horrible, they messed up with our order almost everyday, ( even tho they know we are staying for long time, they should have remembered our order)
In the positive side, the spa team are the best especially ketut.
I hope the management fixing all these issues in the near future.

From the time I arrived till I left, I was happy with my decision to stay at this resort. I stayed 9 days and never left the hotel. I realized I didn't need to, everything I wanted was right there. Great food, great service, a beautiful beach to take my morning walk on and a wonderful pool. I will return to this resort in the future and have no suggestions for them to change anything. The cleaning staff, the wait staff were what really made my stay a relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend this resort to solo travelers, families and of course surfers. Thank you

The pool in the picture is tiny and was full of screaming kids. You couldn’t swim in the beach. If you don’t surf it was extremely boring as you need to leave hotel for experience s or par ridiculous prices. I did not enjoy my stay the room was boxy and out the back of lobby. I had nothing to do other than sit by the busy pool. Won’t be back 100%

We only stayed one night at Komune as we spent 3 nights prior in a nearby Villa. We checked in early and was told our room was not yet ready and we would be contacted - we never heard back and after 2pm made our way back to reception. Disappointed to find that the promised birthday celebration I had arranged for my partner had not been organised. We only booked a resort room for the one night and if we were to stay again we would look at the pool access/ beach front rooms. The resort room was very small and walls to neighbours are PAPER THIN!! We heard our neighbour fart! If you aren’t fussy about rooms then this hotel is perfect the location, staff and facilities make up for all of the above!

Wonderful hotel with great beach. The gym is one of the nicest i have ever been to. Food is good from the health club as well. One thing I did not know prior to booking was the gym is not available most morning due to private functions. Moat days I could not get into the gym until after 11am. Other than that it's a wonderful hotel, highly recommend.

Upon arrival, the property was difficult to find for our taxi driver. We checked in and the host was very kind. She should us our room & the facilities. She explained that the mini bar has complimentary water and first set of wine. After they would charge for the wine if we drink the first complimentary one. We were amazed by the views from the room. The beach was crowded with surfers, lots of locals. The beachfront rooms had pools, we enjoyed a floating breakfast, which 4 people can eat from, it's a lot of food. The menu was selective from what to eat, a lot of healthy food, but if you're not used to it, it can make you feel nauseous. Family-friendly resort. We had mix feelings about this place. Kids area, which is fun, there's a skate pool, you can borrow a skateboard, but it's too hot to do, you can only do 30 minutes, they say it's best to skate @ 4 PM, but close @ 5 PM. Staff members are friendly and helpful. From here we were able to visit Ubud and Bali Safari, they were kind to help us arrange the transportation & activities, prices for a taxi were about $30 r/t to Ubud or for a taxi driver to take you to other surf spots. They wait for you as well. To Bali Safari $110 pp and that included breakfast with the lions and the driver to pick you up and take you home. The concierge was really helpful to arrange our plans. Upon checkout, they charged us for the wine, water, and chips. There's nothing complimentary there, that was a mislead. But the coffee in the room & tea is

I stayed at its Beach Front Pool Suite for two nights. Amazing view, delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. In any hotel, I am always particular about room lighting (for ambience and bed reading) and rain shower water pressure. On scale 1-10, I would not hesitate to give both a 10. It was a great experience. I wish I could stay longer.

The resort is lovely but the rooms are not comfortable, the pillows were way too hard and flat and the bathroom is in need of updating. The hot water didn’t work and the tiles were grubby looking.
The staff were lovely and the food was nice and reasonably priced.
The area is out of the way , so very few places to eat. Transport is only way to get around. The black sand is very hot and hard to walk on. Beach is only fit for experienced surfers but the pool is lovely and the loungers were amazing.
Great for a relaxing do nothing holiday.

Lovely resort on the black beaches of Keramas

Komune resort was nothing short of fabulous. The rooms were modern with tasteful decor, very clean, beautiful gardens throughout the resort, fantastic restaurants and the staff just topped the whole experience off in a good way. We were greeted with smiles by all staff members, whom were always more then willing to help with anything we desired. on our last night we decided to upgrade to a pool front room, which did not dissapoint. The view was lovely with our own private pool and balcony. Also the Day spa staff were faultless. My partner and I has multiple massages, a facial and i had my hair done for a wedding. The Staff were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing experiences. All in All, i would and already have recommended this resort to friends and family, we had an amazing stay. Thankyou Komune resort :)

Not one usually to write a negative review this time I am compelled. Unfortunately it was underwhelming! Unless you are running or involved in a retreat there I feel you just get lost and become a number. I became sick from something I ate at their restaurant .... fainted, hit my head and injured my neck ... was looked after by a fellow guest and then taken by ambulance to the hospital. After 5 hours there I was not checked on by the management at all ... had to pay a driver to return to the hotel and then again no follow up by the manager for the next two days. I guess this tainted my experience further. Beachfront private pool rooms are lovely of course but no pool towels in the room and when a request was made for some we were told to go and get them from the beach club. Some of the staff were great, some disinterested. Food was ok ... nothing special at the beach club area. Health hub breakfast was good. For the price we paid I thought generally it was under par.

The facilities offered on site were superb, a couple of pools, healthy restaurant and pool/beach side bar and eatery. The grounds were spacious and the staff were always on hand to assist. The porters were the most helpful of our entire stay, taking bags to and from apartments every day.
The only negative is that there is nothing else nearby to see/do. We did take a trip to the Hidden Canyon but the idea of this resort is that you stay within the walls and enjoy their facilities.

Komune was incredible. For our first hotel in Bali it set the bar extremely high. The grounds were impeccably clean, the staff the friendliest, and they spared no detail. I honestly wish we had booked our entire trip there. The massages were amazing and everything was so affordable. It really caters to a healthy lifestyle, but they also have comfort foods too. The view of the ocean by the pool and bar is breathtaking and I loved having my breakfast and coffee there every morning. If I could give this rating 100 stars i would. It is a bit of a drive from the airport (approx 35-45 mins depending on traffic) but it is worth every second of it.

The hotel is amazing, really nice. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, they always have drivers who can take you place. Rooms are amazing with really good aircon. The resort if perfect for surfers looking for luxury. Only downside is that it’s very far away from any little towns so if you want to go walking an exploring you will need to be taken somewhere by a driver first, not that you really need to leave because the resort is amazing!

Fantastic Bali Retreat

We were very impressed with the hotel location, facilities & staff. While the hotel felt a little isolated, it is something that comes with the territory of being positioned on the fabled Keramas surf break.

The hotel takes advantage of this spectacular outlook with our grand Beach Front Villa room having long views to the ocean beyond palm trees and our infinity pool.

The facilities were also well apportioned, allowing the multiple fitness groups to mingle without being on top of each other and ensure they weren’t intruding on our ability to use the pool, gym, etc. The kids club setup is a great touch too.

Top this off with the customary friendly Balinese staff and this made for a great stay away from the hustle and bustle

Great place to unwind, loved yoga and fitness classes. Relaxing by the pool. Truly wonderful time. The sound of waves during yoga classes was amazing. Look forward to another visit. Perfect staff was helpful. Rooms clean and bed really comfortable. Have a beer with the locals. Watch the surfers

very good hotel in general in a good area ..

was great experience .. the hotel is very nice and peaceful, the rooms are clean and i would recommend the ones in front beach at the second floor ... f&B Must be improved a lot .. food is horrible .. and beers overpriced for Bali .. 5 mns walking from the resort you have a very nice restaurant called Warong Legong, the staff is very warm ... special mention for the lady at the cashier in the restaurant and the receptionist ... Siwi ?

Amazing pool!!! Happy hour 4pm until5pm buy one and get another drink for free.
Kids club is amazing... Babysistter A$12 per hour mattress is extremely uncomfortable and pillow is bad as well

Highly recommend Komune hotel, from the moment we arrived at the airport, the staff were amazing - easy airport transfer /pickup , super helpful! Stayed in the beachfront pool suites - room was spotless , so spacious - gorgeous views, photos online don’t do the rooms justice it was better than we excpected. Excellent room service / good menu.

We had our 6month old baby , all the staff were very attentive / helpful towards our family. They offer babysitting for 135,000 an hour but we didn’t use this service, next time!

Can hire surf boards down on the beach cafe right next to the hotel pool.

All the meals we had were great.

Only negative Was the wifi didn’t work at all during our 4 day stay. We asked numerous times but staff couldn’t resolve.

Love Komune!

I love Komune- wonderful place, great vibe, good pool, friendly staff, awesome gym/yoga! We were two couples with small children and it was a great place for both kids and adults
