The hotel was a great location close to the Old Town resturants and bars. Breakfast was very good with thesyaff very friendly. Our AC did not work the 4 nights we stayed so the room was very hot even though staff arranged a fan. This was very noisy

This hotel was great, and the included breakfast was honestly the best breakfast I have ever seen anywhere in my many travels. I took pictures of breakfaat and it required six pictures of all tje offerings. Alghero is a big city, and parking was not included. I struggled greatly with parking. I feel like I spent 75% of my time in Algherro either trying to find a parking space, walking to my car, or getting hopelessly lost trying to find where I had parked my car. The day before I was leaving a few blocks from the hotel I saw a paid parking lot. It's given the chance I would've taken that option instead.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Domomea. It's a good location for walking into town or for the beaches.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and this was maintained during the week by the housekeeping team.

The breakfast was really good and varied.There were some nice touches like reserving a table for 6 for us every morning, remembering our coffee orders,etc. Little attentions to detail like that you notice and appreciate.

Overall, the staff at this hotel make the place shine, and it was such a great stay for us. Would recommend and stay again....

Really enjoyed our stay, perfect for walking into the old town ( about 10 mins walk).
Staff lovely and happy to help with any requests. Lots of choice for breakfast.
Room could do with a bit of an update but everything was clean and comfortable bed.

The hotel is in a quiet location, but only minutes walk to the old town and the sea. The pool was a great feature where you can relax, order a drink, read a book, with a quiet surrounding.

The floor of the room wasn’t that clean and my room was right on the street so you could hear traffic noise, and the cleaners started early so don't expect a quiet sleep in.

But the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. You can choose to sit out in the garden and the choices for breakfast, while not extensive, were ample and tasty.

Overall, a quiet and pleasant stay in Alghero.

Hotel Domomea was an alright stay.
The breakfast buffet was good, nice food.
There is a very small pool if you need to cool down. I also thought there was going to be a hot tub, but it is just a cold tub with jets.
The room itself was alright. The bathroom shower didn't have a closed door, just a curtain, so the bathroom floor would get flooded after having a shower.
The hotel is just in the city part of Alghero with not much views or interesting things to see. However, there is a really nice pizza restaurant where locals go nearby.
Parking costs extra money if you are renting a car.

Check in was easy and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and had double sinks. The bed was firm and the pillows comfortable.

Breakfast was good and there was a nice variety including cereals, eggs, bacon, cheese, meats and sweets. There was a nice juice selection and the coffee was good too.

The hotel is about half a mile from the old town. It's an easy walk there and also to the beach.

This is a four star hotel in name only. The facilities are mediocre, the bed was uncomfortable, the \"in-room minibar\" contained nothing more than four bottles of water, and the rooftop pool was both cold and covered in filth from birds.

The hotel is located within a 10 minutes walk to old town of Alghero. The pool is relatively small but still good enough to serve a purpose of having a swim and\or relax in a jacuzzi.

The rooms are well-sized with a large bathroom - including quite handy double sink facilities.

The breakfast was good and it had a range of choices although it would benefit if this varied on a daly basis.

The customer service is truly exceptional, measured and genuine. We were delighted with the help recieved from Gian Paulo in particular wherever we needed something or asked for an advise. Nothing was too much for him and he went an extra mile to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Great location - just a short walk from the city centre. Our room and bathroom was very large, clean, and comfortable. Lovely complimentary toiletries too. The breakfast provided was exceptional - a variety of cheeses, meats, eggs, and pastries. It was too cold to use the pool, but the rooftop patio was a lovely place to hang out and unwind. And the front desk staff were so helpful in providing directions to places, and making reservations as needed, which was really appreciated! I would stay here again if I get back to Alghero, which I hope happens soon!

A very comfortable hotel in the new town.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this hotel. It is located in the newer part of Alghero. However all the amenities of the old town and the marina are within a 10-15 minutes walk. The hotel is very clean, with a nice sized room and bathroom. The shower is very good. There is a safe in the room and good Wi-Fi. The air conditioning coped very well with the high temperatures. We didn't use the pool, on the roof but many people did. It was next to our room and we saw it being cleaned each day.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There are local restaurants and bars, mainly for local people, nearby for those who don't wish to walk to the old town.

Fantastic hotel. About 5 minute walk from marina and 10 minute walk to downtown. Free parking just around the corner. Front desk staff was so kind, accommodating, spoke perfect English, really lovely. Room was spotless, recently updated, very quiet at night, with AC, comfortable bed, nice shower. Breakfast was the best of my trip. Hotel has a wonderful restaurant downtown serving only local Sardinian cuisine. They give you a 10% discount. The meal was absolutely delicious. I am so glad I stayed here. I would definitely stay here on my next visit and highly recommend.

Very good hotel, especially for a couple. 15 minutes walk maximum from the old town in a quiet residential area. Good continental breakfast with added hot bacon and eggs. Room not huge but in very good condition and comfortable. Excellent shower. Nice staff. Plenty of free parking (in May at least) within a couple of minutes walk. Would stay again without hesitation.

Nice hotel, walking distance to the old town!!

Rosanno and Davidson were great hosts and did a wonderful job of looking after us. They were both fantastic and always reccomended excellent places to eat, drink and see. The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet side street which is 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the old town which has many bars, restaraunts and historical sights. It is such a beautiful city, we were able to walk into town daily with ease. The room was amazing, a good size, comfortable bedding hpwever the spring mattress could have been more comfortable, the bathroom was equipped with a large jacuzzi and a powerful stand alone shower. The room had tea and coffee facilities however the filter italian coffee from the cafes locally was much superior. It would be nice if they had an ironing board to accompany the iron. Bathroom was equipped with two sinks, all toiletries and a hairdryer. We were in room 303, the junior suite I believe. It also has a mini bar which is reasonably 0priced. Theroom is finished to a high standard. The pool islocated conveniently just outside our room on the top floor, it is on a terrace, there are around 12 sunbeds and a outdoor pool with a jacuzzi to relax in. We were here in september and it was quiet with 5 people at the poolside at any one time and very peaceful. I definatley reccommend staying here. They have done a fantastic job in making this trip memorable and it is great value for money. Sardinia is beautiful and has so much to offer, the food was excellen

In a nice location in Alghero 10 mins to old town and 15 to beach. Large room kept clean but drawers smelt too musty to use and no hot water for 3 mornings. Breakfast was what I would expect from a cheap budget hotel, cold scrambled eggs, awful coffee from a machine, and not replenished, had to ask all the time. Tables not relaid once used so you had to fend for yourself if not the first in. Reception staff on the whole very friendly.

We stayed at Domomea for nine nights and overall enjoyed our stay. It’s very modern and looked like it had been refurbished in the last couple of years. It was impeccably clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, and you can walk to shops, restaurants and old town within 10 minutes. The rooms have a reasonably priced mini-bar and there is also a bar downstairs with a TV. Our bed was huge, a super king I reckon as it felt like two twins pushed together. It was far too firm for me though, and I woke up with awful pains in my back and legs throughout the night. With the help of a quilted blanket underneath me and a couple of extra pillows I managed to make it more comfortable. The rooftop pool was a lovely temperature, though we didn’t get to use it much as there were a lot of bird droppings in it, and as I’m pregnant I didn’t want to risk catching anything. Jacuzzi didn’t work. The breakfast was extensive, with cereals, toast, pastries, fruit and hot food. Our only complaint was that it never varied and nine days of exactly the same food became tiresome. Breakfast finished at 10am but staff switched things off and were clearing up a lot earlier than that so we felt a bit rushed at times. Housekeeping were always in our room when we got back from breakfast which was annoying as we had to wait for them to finish before we could get ready to go out for the day. Hotel parking was unavailable so had to park on the street.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is really nice and our room was comfortable and clean, the maids did a great job every day. Breakfast was good and served until late, you can buy great coffee from behind the bar. Location a short walk (10-15 mins) to the old town and beach, and supermarket (2 mins) and pharmacy (5 mins) also close by. Staff at the hotel were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help with any questions.

Great place to stay if visiting alghero. Fantastic staff on front desk, so helpful. Breakfast very basic but was expecting that from having read other reviews. Room and bathroom absolutely spotless. Lovely toiletries. The only thing we didn't like was that the window was overlooking a walkway so you had to leave the curtains closed. Makes room very dark and felt a bit like being in a box but on the plus side the lights were great! we would definitely use this hotel again, only ten mins walk from town or buses which the front desk will happily provide you with info for.

Spent 3 nights in Alghero. Hotel was highly rated on TA which is why we booked. Not expensive so our expectations were modest. However the room, location and service were all excellent. Great suggestions for restaurants. Comfortable TV lounge area. Smallish rooftop pool area and sun beds but there if needed. We always went to the beach which is only 15 mins walk. Would recommend.

This hotel is in a great location. The staff are great and very helpful. The breakfast was not bad. The only thing I would say that needs improvement is that the rooms were very cold and there was no heating for some reason. They gave us extra blankets, but when a room is tiled, it can get very cold at night. Sometimes the wifi wasnt the greatest, but overall it was a great hotel and I highly recommend it.

We were greeted by the receptionist/ doorman with a smile and welcome advice on where to park our car. His welocome set the tone for a very very pleasant stay in this charming hotel. Rooms are spotless, beds comfortable, WiFi free and speedy, international TV channels. The breakfast was very good with a choice of hot or cold.
Location is close to old the town centre and very walkable but what stands out is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and in particular the gentleman who checked us in and out. His service was oustanding.

Nice hotel close to all amenities

Great little hotel close to the old town and beach both about 10 minutes walk away.
Good buffet breakfast and very helpful staff.
Only drawback is the parking which is available but off street so if there is no parking space available
you are out of luck
That in itself is not a reason for not staying here as it is a great hotel in probably the best town in Sardinia

Comfortable stay and wonderful staff

We stayed for two nights in October. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with lots of different types of croissants and squeeze your own orange juice. The two hotel staff on reception were wonderful, giving us good information on parking and looking after us when it started pouring with rain. Overall we would highly recommend

Stay at Hotel Domomea

The Reception staff were very personable and made excellent recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was excellent. Room had every amenity. The roof top space was a huge bonus for a lazy hour and meeting people.
