Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location was ideal - across the road from the ocean and the ocean-side sidewalk leading into the old town. Lots of restaurants nearby and a small beach across the road. The hotel itself is quiet, the room comfortable, the gardens beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff, they went out of their way to help us, about 10min walk to the old town overlooked the rocky beach side of a Alghero.There was a lovely patio area at the front of the hotel with seating and they brought a TV out for those watching the Euros The only downside was regarding breakfast(plentiful), but hubby disappointed with the bacon,just strips of fat,and reconstituted scrambled egg, however we still found other things to eat, The shower in our room was a little small and old, and dated, but had good air-conditioning ,that aside were really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel

The hotel location is great. Old city, restaurants, pubs, shops are close, you can grt there by walking. Our room was cleaning everyday and towels were changed. On the breakfast were buffet, everything was fresh, but i'm used to eat for breakfast more fresh vegetables not from the jar. I hope one day they will revolute their kitchen and create their regional food desk. All personnel were for us very nice, frindly and helpful. With parking we didn't have problem, we have park rental car on the street. Looks like safe place.

On hotels.com, it lists it as a hotel, it it’s really an apartment room with a shared space. No one was there to check us in, the breakfast had largely been eaten by 8, and it’s the equivalent of about 5 flights of stairs up.
That said, if you know all this in advance it’s not bad, and a great location

Good value for money, quiet.

We stayed here for a couple of nights before cycling to Bosa. The hotel is really well located just outside the old town so nice and quiet at night. About 5-10mins walk into town. Staff were really nice and helpful, the rooms were perfectly fine. Breakfast could be better (no fresh fruit) but no big issue. Nice view over the sea from the breakfast room!

Good enough for the price/location.

Good enough for a 3 star Italian hotel in a resort town, but the shower door did not shut properly and the shower itself was a little small to really rinse off after a day at the beach. Also the breakfast left a bit of an artifcial taste in the mouth, which is a shame considering the quality of the food in Sardinia.

Nice Place to use as a base to see the sights

Well located, rooms clean, well maintained, and servicable. The real advantage is its location by the city and the ocean. It is a good place for sleeping and then seeing the sights. Our room was very noisy, apparently close to where the staff would take their rest breaks.

Une étape très agréable à l’hôtel El Balear, très bien situé , qui nous a permis après quelques heures de moto de faire une halte récupératrice , en descendant sur la petite plage à proximité de l’hôtel , tout en étant à distance très accessible de la vieille ville et de ses boutiques et restaurants . Chouette petit dejeuner avec une belle vue sur mer Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement . Nous reviendrons avec plaisir .

Bellissimo soggiorno di 5 notti ad Alghero, soprattutto per la posizione ottimale dell’hotel, vicino al centro storico ma anche sufficientemente riparato dal caos e dal rumore della movida…
Ricca colazione, fermata del Beach bus proprio sotto l’hotel e possibilità di godere ogni giorno del lungomare che porta al centro di Alghero.
Hotel che raccomando anche per la cortesia del personale e la cura nella pulizia. Occhio alla vista delle camere, ci sono varie tipologie, basta scegliere quella che fa al caso proprio.

Bon emplacement, mais l’hôtel ne dispose PAS de parking gratuit pour les voitures. Bon petit-déjeuner, personnel très sympathique et disponible. Chambre et salle de bain un peu vieillottes, douche très petite, grande terrasse. Pour la plage de la Pellosa (près de Stintino), vous pouvez emprunter gratuitement des nattes auprès de la réception de l’hôtel pour mettre en-dessous des serviettes de plage (obligatoire).

Hôtel très bien placé en face de la mer, même la chambre avait une petite vue direct sur la mer même si en cour intérieur. Service très aimable et très serviable. Proche du centre à pied( 5min pied) et juste l'arrêt du beach bus devant l'hôtel. Déjeûné bien varié avec des pâtisseries maison. Plage un peu rocailleuse en face de l'hôtel.Je le recommande vivement!

Un hotel agradable y bien situado, a un precio razonable a pesar de las fechas de temporada alta. Cerca del centro más transitado, pero a suficiente distancia para no estar agobiado por el exceso de personas en la calle.
El personal del hotel, muy atento y servicial. Posibilidad de aparcar el coche, en el entorno próximo.
La limpieza de la habitación, correcta. El desayuno buffet, aunque mejorable, es aceptable. No hay ascensor, pero no era importante para nosotros.

I understand there are too much demand compared to the offer in terms of acommodation and this is why in this (an others) hotel you get less than you expect according to the price. The room was very simple, small, no balcony.and worst was the bathroom, as long as the tube was very small, uncomfortable and even dangerous to use, because you don't have enough space to stay standing and was easier to get hurt than to take a shower.
The smell was bad also. Some maintenance needed in the pipping.
AC worked properly, no problem, A must considering high temperatures in August.

Zimmer stank die ersten 2 Tage vermufft. Bad: alt, sehr abgenutzt, Rostwasser aus allen Wasseranschlüssen. Schrank alt, abgenutzt, Schubladen dreckig. Kühlschrank wäre sehr wünschenswert. Zimmer hinterliss insgesamt unangenhmer Eindruck. Zimmerreinigung war gut. Rest des Hotel ok. Personal Reception top. Im Frühstücksraum uninteressiert dem Kunden gegenüber.

Séjour agréable sur la côte ouest de la Sardaigne. La ville d alghero, située en bord de mer possède une vieille ville piétonne avec boutiques et restos où il fait bon se promener et déambuler. L hôtel est bien situé face à la mer. Il est très calme et son personnel très sympathique : les réceptionniste prévient le temps d expliquer le fonctionnement de l hôtel et donnent des conseils.

Un très bon hôtel, en toute simplicité.

Il s'est très bien déroulé, avec un personnel charmant, désireux de vous satisfaire, hormis une réceptionniste peu aimable, assez sèche, même si elle a répondu à toutes nos demandes.
On a déploré une panne de wi-fi l'avant dernier soir (vendredi soir), réactivé dès le lendemain matin et la dernière nuit, le climatiseur s'est mis à faire un bruit épouvantable qui nous a obligé à l'arrêter (vers 5 heures. La nourriture simple était d'excellente qualité. Très belle vue sur la mer depuis notre balcon et la chambre.

Wij verbleven 6 nachten in kamer 68, in het hoofdgebouw op de eerste verdieping. De kamer op zich is, net als het hele hotel, verouderd maar netjes. De douche is een ramp : veel te klein en de temperatuur van het water is onmogelijk te regelen. kokend heet water wordt afgewisseld met ijskoud water.
Er hangt ook een onaangename toiletgeur in de badkamer.
Voor wie TV wenst te kijken (voor ons niet belangrijk) is er een heel klein TV'tje (beeldbuistype uit de jaren 80/90)
De WiFi in het hotel is aanwezig, maar je moet quasi elke 15 minuten opnieuw inloggen, en het signaal is niet echt stabiel te noemen.
Het ontbijt is teleurstellend. Veel droge cake, hartige taartjes (die niet vers waren) en instant koffie die niet te drinken is. Er worden extra's aangeboden (zoals 'echte' koffie en enkele extra ontbijtgerechten, maar daar dient voor te worden bijbetaald en daar heb ik het moeilijk mee.
Sommige personeelsleden blijken er niet echt werkvreugde te hebben.
De ligging van dit hotel is super, op 10 minuutjes wandelen van de oude binnenstad.

Wij komen in elk geval niet meer naar dit hotel terug.

Ottimo soggiorno ad Alghero!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per due notti insieme a mia fidanzata su consiglio di nostri parenti e devo dire che siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi. Hotel carino, camere nuove e ben pulite e soprattutto ottima posizione per visitare Alghero! Unico neo, l'assenza di un ascensore (almeno nella nostra ala) soprattutto per trasportare i bagagli.

Hôtel sympathique à proximité du centre ville (environ 15 minutes à pied). Pas de parking privé mais places à proximité. Personnel accueillant. Chambre confortable avec wifi accessible. Ein unkompliziertes Hotel um Alghero zu entdecken.

Wir hatten das Zimmer 42 im Innenhof, also ruhig, aber genug hoch, um den Meeresblick von der Terasse aus zu geniessen. Das Frühstück ist überaus rechhaltig. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, doch hatten wir bereits weitere Unterkünfte vorgebucht.

Fint mellemklassehotel - med visse værelser af ældre dato og en lidt kedelig morgebuffet - men med en rigtigt god beliggenhed.
MEN de skal skabe bedre funktioner vedr. netforbindelse (meget ustabil), telefonforbindelse (ikke tilgængelig på hotellet, hvilket betyder, at man ikke kan modtage/afgive opkald fra sin egen telefon), og så skal de løse air con, så den også kan køre, når vi ikke selv er på værelset.

L'hôtel est bien situé pour accéder au centre d'Alghero à pied. Le personnel est très accueillant. Mais les chambres sont vieilles et vétustes, elles ont besoin d'un grand rafraichissement. Une odeur horrible d'égouts et d'eau stagnante sortait de la tuyauterie de la salle de bain et se répandait dans la chambre. Il faut revoir la salle de bain....
Le petit déjeuner est correcte.

The service was good, but the room smelled bad, and the bathroom worse. The room felt outdated and in need of refurbishing. Many tiles in the bathroom were broken. There was no elevator, so we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs.

En face de la mer

Hôtel sympa et calme en face de la mer (et une petite plage) et tout proche de la vieille ville. Notre chambre était assez petite mais disposait d'un balcon et de la climatisation. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais convenable, en revanche pour le soir, vous trouverez bien mieux en ville que le restaurant de l'hôtel. On peut se garer gratuitement devant l'hôtel mais il n'est pas toujours très facile de trouver une place. J'y retournerais sans aucune hésitation.

First night in Sardinia and to wake up facing La mare Nostrum 10 meters below = fantastic. Lots of restaurants and a night market around the hotel. Perfect for First and last day if you fly out from Alghero. Hard beds!
