We Had Our Puppy Girl's With Us! Soooo Pet Friendly, the Pet Park was nice under some pine trees! Big room two king beds water pressure was okay. indoor pool and jacuzzi! Nice area right next to shopping and restaurants! The Staff was very Sweet! And the place was very Quiet! Overall Good Stay!!!

Amazingly kind and helpful staff, efficient and communicative. Great room, clean and super comfortable. I will say that loud voices carry in the hallway, but that was definitely a factor of the other guests and not the hotel! (Except maybe thin walls? But I won’t nitpick.) Fantastic for the price, 10/10 would stay again.

Good stuff: convenient location, right at a major traffic hub (Elko Junction) with gas stations, grocery store within walking distance, lots of fast food eateries. Pleasant front desk staff. Easy check-in, easy to find my room.

My room had TWO sinks, separate from bathroom. Fridge and microwave. Tons of pillows. Bedding and towels were old, but fine.

The not so good: Personal coffee machine looked old and dirty. Didn't touch the in-room coffee packs provided, just got coffee from the lobby (available 24/7).

No soap provided. Maybe that needed to be requested from the desk. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion.

I felt my house slippers (brought my own) sticking on a corner of the bed late at night, and not from anything that I had spilled.

Curtains didn't close all the way. Good thing I brought safety pins to keep the curtains shut.

Low water pressure when flushing toilet -- hold and wait until EVERYTHING goes down. Skipped my morning shower due to low water pressure, lack of amenities, unsightly looking hard water stains on the showerhead and bathroom stall corners, and desire to get back on the road ASAP.

It was fine as the lowest priced place that had what I needed, just know what you're getting yourself into.

Well, the price was good. But take your chances. When we first arrived you could not make it into the lobby without moving through a cloud of smoke. There is no smoking in the motel, but they allow folks to smoke right outside the doors. That means that besides the main entrance, the hallways also smell of smoke. Upon checking in the lady that was helping me assigned us a room, when the other lady at the desk told here that she had already put someone in that room. So they ended up getting another one for us. But the trouble with that was that we were a group of five, so the room that were got was only made up for 3, not a big deal really. Just showed somewhat unprofessional. Probably lack of training.

The maintenance of the facility is not good. The room we stayed in had in the past needed a repair to the drywall on the ceiling, that repair was done very poorly. And the ceiling was still bubbled down. Either the patch was made to an area far too small or a larger portion of the ceiling is now failing. There was drywall mud stuck in the carpet over by the sink as well. There were several locations where the ceiling tiles were off in the hallways and what looked like leaks. Lots of little this like card readers coming off of doors and such. But a major thing was that there was a \"repair\" made to the hand rail at the pool with DUCT TAPE! I work at a facility with a pool, that is a huge safety violation. It also looks as the carpets have not been extracted in years.

The room was clean and the staff was polite and helpful. The bathroom was a little \"tired\" with a toilet slow to flush and a piece of the bathtub coming up. The carpeting in the hallways looks well used. That said,we appreciate the fair prices and being able to bring our dog. We have an idea how much renovations can be! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Super courteous staff! They were very kind and helpful with our two miniature schnauzers staying. Best priced pet friendly hotel in town, and they genuinely seemed to enjoy us having our pets with us. We appreciated their kindness and even during Christmas they smiled and greeted us kindly and took care of our needs our entire stay.

This is a pet friendly hotel which we didn’t know and although I’ve doubled up on allergy meds I’ve been miserable all day. Would be better to warn folks ahead of time. Also no hot water for shower at 7am

Zero amenities that this site stated. First there’s a bucket in the hallway catching water from a leaking pipe, it’s been there a very LONG time. Ice machine didn’t work. You’d go to the front desk to get ice and they’d fill the bucket up barely half way because that’s all they had. They had a small personal size machine for staff, anymore and they’d go buy bags. Pool was closed, no mention of that on the website. The breakfast.. there’s no breakfast. Only had a grab and go. If I could have cancelled, I would have. It was the only place that could handle our needs at the time.

The room wasn't as clean as it had been during our previous stays. There were a couple long, black hairs in the bathroom and the area around the sink I cleaned.
We had to switch rooms because the door wouldn't open, as did the customer who checked in just ahead of us.
The exercise room was okay, but it would be better if there were cloths to clean the equipment off with.

This hotel chain is sad. In an age when hotels are thriving, Shilo Inns are slowly deteriorating into what I can only predict as oblivion.

I couldn't leave this property fast enough. Bed uncomfortable. Hallway floors dirty...the kind where one tracks-in dirt on bare feet (to go to the pool) and you then see it on the wet tile floor of the bathroom. Pool was murky green. I decided not to submerge below my waist--afraid it was an unhealthy condition. Beds disappointingly uncomfortable. Pillows were big balls of awful fluff. Toilet continuously ran. Shower made huge ratchet noise and would not run water. Tried it again in the morning and while the ratchety sound was still there, it ran only cold water. The only good thing in the morning \"snack\" was the apple. Yuck to the Folgers-like coffee.

I left the property as quick as possible without a shower or even a shave. The only words in my mouth were, \"you get what you pay for\", but sadly there are other properties for the same price that are good experiences.

\"Sad\" sums it up.

Really run down hotel. The curtains were torn and ratty. The panel was useless on the air conditioner controls. Part of it was missing. The hotel hallways smelled like mold and garbage, and obviously worn and very dirty. It was disgusting. The desk clerks didn't care when we told them, they just shrugged and said call the corporate office. The outside of the building was overrun with weeds. Pool and hot tub were empty, gym room was closed.

My main filter was for a pool and hot tub... neither was available for 3 out of 4 days. When the hot tub was available (last day) the jets were horrible. The room was dirty. The sink had scum all the way around it. A kitchen was in the room however no silverware or items to use it. I'm so very disappointed.

I booked this room because I mainly wanted to go swimming but the pool was honestly disgusting and I normally don’t complain because I’m pretty easy going, but I didn’t even want to use the pool or hot tub the room was good no issues in the room but the property on the outside of my room was really just rundown. You could tell that it’s supposed to be like the cheapest around.

It was nice, room was huge! I booked it online and it said it was a certain type of room they didn’t have or offer so I had to wait for a manager to call to be given a room to accommodate the booking!

They did accommodate it by giving a room that was ok, the place is kind of dated, the shower needed to be replaced the water couldn’t come on without some elbow grease (haha) there was trash left behind from the last renter underneath the kitchenette that stunk!!!

Otherwise it was fine and it appreciated for the managers upgrade and accommodation request.

Btw we went through the invading of the locusts, I thought it was cool but not so much for my little sisters (hahaha)!!!

First time is indeed the last.

We woke up to a knock on the door from a nice lady who informed us we were staying in a \"Do Not Rent\" room. Asked why would they put us in here then, she said she didn't know. Before we even stayed our first night, front desk had told us that the pool was safe to swim in, good thing I did not have my wife & son swim that night because a different front desk person had told us that in fact that pool was very harmful to humans so it's out of order. That was our first & last time staying at this place. would not recommend. Would have rather paid another $100 to stay in a much nicer environment.

Friends stayed down the hall, they said their door looked like it had been kicked in before. Close to shopping and food. Good food spot near by but I forgot the name. Nice stores near by as well

The late night checkin clerk was not very friendly. The safety lock on the door was ripped off the wall, and the window screen was torn up. Some leftover garbage was under the bed. The website stated that a free breakfast voucher at a nearby restaurant would be provided, but when I asked in the morning, they said breakfast was not provided. Overall, not a hotel I would stay at again.

This hotel is fine for a night on the road. Our room was clean. It was a pet room, but it did not have any pet odors. The floor was not carpet and I preferred that. Everything in the room was fine. The rest of the hotel is a bit rundown. The pool was out of order that evening and. the ice machine didn’t work. There’s some maintenance needs to be done. But it was fine for a night stay on the road.

The pool and hot tub have been out of service now for over a year. I had to borrow a screwdriver from the front desk to fix my shower control knob. Bathroom floor and floor between the beds was just nasty. No breakfast opportunity beyond a gas station. No longer clean and convenient for when I am home visiting family. I'll stay in another hotel from now on.

What you see in the pictures isn’t what you get

The check-in went well, however the room didn’t have a refrigerator but had a spot for it (it was empty), there was no shampoo, conditioner or tissue (tissue box was empty). Its a nonsmoking room but smelled like smoke. The coffee area sink didn’t work. I called the front desk several times, but they did not answer. Disappointing for their price’s. I mentioned it to the gal when I checked out but didn’t seem promising they’ll fix anything.

Place was okay for a quick night stay that wasn’t too expensive. We had 2 adults and 3 kids. Checked in and got to our room. Two queens, that was it. Went and asked about it and they said whoever made the reservation didn’t specify we needed a pull out couch. She wasn’t very helpful. I said we put 5 people, you should only assign a room that accommodates 5 people. Only after we asked what she could do for us did she say she could give us a roll away bed. Luckily it was for a four year old because that thing was super bouncy and uncomfortable. They only left us 3 towels as well. 5 people, 3 towels, and 2 queens. Wasn’t impressed. Wouldn't stay here again. Next time I’ll pay more money for better accommodations.
