A beautiful resort in a quiet, peaceful setting. The spa service was wonderful and dining quite good. Very nice breakfast buffet complete with egg station. Large room with private balcony. The grounds were impeccable and the walking trail a delight. We can’t wait to go back for another stay.

A truly magical place!
Great service. Kind and helpful people. Management repeatedly went out of their way to ensure we were pleased and taken care of.
Dining options while limited (that is to say there is one restaurant) was nonetheless wonderful! Again, service made it superior.
I could write paragraphs about the views…. And both our sunrise and sunsets were literally a once in a lifetime experience!
I rarely speak in superlatives.
Something about sitting in full view of the Himalayas with a fire going and enjoying a snifter of very fine cognac …. Need I say more?
Not sure if we will ever get back, but if we do, I can’t imagine staying elsewhere.

NOT a good experience! We stayed for two nights and left disappointed because the hotel didn’t live up to our expectations. First off, the location is not wheelchair accessible—there are a lot of stairs and no elevators. The food was mediocre, and the prices were absurdly high. I wouldn’t mind paying more for quality, but that wasn’t the case here. The building is old and deteriorating, and nearby construction adds a lot of noise to the rooms. The sunrise and sunset views are hit or miss depending on the weather, although the large balcony is a nice touch. The staff seemed disinterested in talking to you or greeting/smiling at you almost as if they hate their job, except for the security team, who were friendly and respectful. Overall, the hospitality was lacking, and the place is far from being good value for money. We won’t be returning.

PS: If u talk to the reception guys and haggle like the chinese gentleman this morning for the deluxe room, they may reward your annoyingness with a discount. Such a joke.

This is the nicest property in Nagarkot. Everything was clean and comfortable and the service was great except for one incident that occurred at check in. It was pouring rain when we arrived and the staff did not come out to help us with our bags. The entrance to the property is several flights up and the staircase was a rushing torrent of water. We were told to wait on the car until the rain stopped. After 5 minutes I ran in and talked to the front desk who seemed indifferent but said they would send someone out. 10 minutes later I spoke to them again and received some excuse about not having enough umbrellas. Finally, my travel partner and our driver just decito bring the bags up which is when the staff finally came to help.

The view from the hotel is excellent. As is the service.

But the power goes out regularly. The bed is a little lumpy and we couldn’t figure out how to get the water to not be boiling in the shower or how to turn on the tv. But that seems to be expected in Nepal.

We were looking forward to our stay at Club Himalaya and it lived up to our expectations. Nice rooms with balconies where we could relax. Unfortunately the view to the Himalayas was blocked by smoke that morning; we went in May and knew it was a possibility. Food was nice and the pool was very popular.

The hotel was centrally located in Nargakot. There are several restaurants and shops to walk over to, giving you options other than hotel food. It is also in a location where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayan and the Kathmandu valley. You can see the sunset and sunrise.

Nagarkot is an amazing place and a must-visit.. Club Himalaya is one of the better places to stay in Nagarkot.. Good hotel, but dated and requires an upgrade.. Rooms could be better, playground is amazing and they have a great breakfast spread..

Service needs a lot of improvement.. Room service staff insisted we come to the restaurant. No one would collect the plates from the room after multiple calls.. This aspect needs change..

Overall okay stay, may not revisit.

This is probably my new favorite place to stay in Nagarkot! We went for the pool and hot tub and they were both great! Things were clean and looked new. Staff was friendly. The only negative thing was the food was a little expensive and we didn't get large portions. The food was really good and they had a lot of options, but some bigger portions would make it great!

Lovely room in new section, super friendly helpful staff, great food and even though it was cloudy this time of year the feeling on the roof top is beautiful . The negatives are there is not that much to do besides walking around the area on the local roads and relaxing. Also, don't necessarily expect to see much of the famous mountain views unless you get lucky on the weather and haze.

Lastly, the rooms we stayed had many leeches. Some of them were found inside our shoes which is totally unacceptable.

Hotel room and location is quite good, but there were some disappointed points.

Good points
- room is clean and comfortable
- good access to local restaurants
- good to see Himalaya if atmosphere is clear

Negative points
- We booked SPA at 6pm on next day, but staff had been backed home when we go there at reserved time.
- we stayed three nights, I expected beautiful Himalaya view. But Himalaya was hidden due to terrible air pollution almost always. We were able to see it only in few hours.

Asked for a K/Q bed on the upper floors. \"Upgraded\" to twin bed room on the 4th floor directly looking at a pine tree. Very nice room however , understand lower floors are dreadful. Great views, when there is visability.

In general, this place was wonderful. The best hotel in the area. Beautiful rooms and well manicured grounds for relaxing or meditation, plus amazing views of mountains. Peaceful.
The beds were almost as hard as boards, unfortunately. I used two comforters as a pad on the bed, and used another sheet and blanket to put over me, which made the bed a bit more tolerable.
But a.c. was good, and quiet. The staff were just amazing. I had an incredible massage, maybe the best I ever had. Other reviews write that the food selection is small. This is true. But the food is pretty good. The wifi is surprisingly good and fast. They charge for wifi every day after the first day, and you have to get new codes - I found this to be an unnecessary hassle, and strange that you have to pay for wifi at such a nice hotel. However, the cost was only $5/day. But the staff made up for any negatives because they were wonderful. If you stay here, you must get up at sunrise and listen to the birds, even if the Himalayan range is obscured by clouds.

Run down hotel with not much experience staffs

Reception very badly organized and not trained. After we check in, nobody explained to us anything about the hotel. We have to find someone to carry our luggage to to room as no lift and two buildings. ( no explanation). And, we try to go everywhere and and asking where is our room. They assumed we are already stay there for sometimes. Signboard also no clear. Staff there are always waiting to get tips. Wifi is very bad, slow and always cannot be connected. Even ask for help from the staff nobody will come to help you even we called room service, reception etc. Garden plants we can notice nobody care. Facilities all run down not properly maintained. Within our stay ( 1 night) more than 5 times of power failure. I suspect over loaded. One day, the hotel will caught in fire if not properly maintained and upgrade. Very high risk to stay. Worst than 3 Stars hotel. Not advice to stay as not worth the money you spend. Will never stay there again.

I have booked and pre-paid the airport pick up service. I have mentioned the pick up time in the booking and send a separate email to the hotel to confirm the pick up. But the hotel never replied, I expected that there may have a chance that they would missed my pick up booking. As I had experienced similar situation before in another nepal hotel. My flight arrived on time at KTM airport and as expected, no pick up. I called the hotel, the front desk even said they cannot find my room reservation. They said they call me back in 15 mins and I requested the manager to call me back later. But they just throw my problem to a reservation officer. He cant gave me any answers if there is someone on the way or already at the airport for the pick up. I told him if no pick up, I can take taxi by myself and they just need to refund the pick up fee. He said is coming. Late pick up is due to traffic jam and ask me to wait for another 15 mins. After 15 mins, noone came. And the pick up driver called me and said he ask me to wait for 45 mins. It is clear that they didnt arranged the pick up until I call. It is unacceptable that their staff would telling lies to the customer. I refused to wait for another 45 mins and asked the officer to arrange the refund upon arrive the hotel. After arrive the hotel, non of the staff notice that issues and I have to explain to them again. Finally after a long deal they refund.The way how this hotel handle the customer is the unacceptable as a 4 star hotel

This is our 3rd time visiting Nagarkot and usually we only get one night to stay; however, this time we had 3 nights here. Best hotel I've seen in this area. I love the rooms, views, and walks through the local villages. Beautiful view of the Langtang Himalayan range. Love the atmosphere and welcoming Nepali tea. The restaurant could use more food selection, music with the massages available(they used to provide), and a good cleaning of the pool. Perfect for a couple nights get-away.

Excellent hotel. Food is very good. We had gone there only for the sole purpose of being able to see the Himalyan range. However it was cloudy and missed it entirely. My suggestion for others would be to go there if you have more time or are interested in hiking or just lazing and reading books. Going there for one night can be a futile exercise otherwise.

Hotel with Jaw Dropping Views....

We stayed here for two nights in December - which is actually a great time to visit as the skies are pretty clear. It does get down to freezing during the night but the daytime temperatures are up to a British Summer!

The hotel is very nice - each room has great views and we got one with a balcony - which is handy when you want to watch the dawn views. The staff are very friendly and the location really makes the place stand out. The negatives are that the water supply pressure is weak and the electricity supply is off during most of the day - however this is more a function of rural Nepal rather than the hotel. The restaurants are good - though I would recommend you order fresh cooked food as I found the buffets to be less satisfying.

Nice getaway from the Chaos of Kathmandu

Stayed there 1 night. We booked the economy room with 3 beds. In general, the hotel was large and beautiful. The rooms depends on what you get, but for $50/nt (no view) our room was nice and comfortable. The shower was hot and bathtub was big. They provided us sandals to walk around room which was a thoughtful. They provided us with a tea kettle which was nice. The dinner buffet $15USD had a good selection. There's not much in the vicinity of the hotel so you'll have to eat there. They also have a shop, library and a nice large area to view the sunrise. Recommended!

Everything about this hotel was great. The secluded locality, breathtaking views, clean and cozy rooms, foods- all. Only one thing I would say was missing is that the hotel didn't had any lifts (was a problem for me as I had an infant riding on a strawler).

Tips: There are no taxi's nearby, so if you are going by one try to fix it for return journey too. In general booking for Hotel costs more. Taxi fare from Kathmandu is generally 2k-3k NPR.

The best hotel we stayed in all of Nepal. Modern, clean and comfortable rooms. Spectacular views of the Himalayas (if you're lucky and there is no cloud cover). Really helpful staff. Only recommendation is to give us free in-room wifi rather than only in the lobby. Would come back again.

Great place for walking and Nagarkot is beautiful. This is the best place to stay in Nagarkot, however don't expect much. The rooms are very damp and the swimming pool is the main hotel lobby/restaurant which is very odd and creates a lot of noise. I would definitely recommend Nagarkot and the walking however.
