The room was spacious and clean. There is a fridge in the room with water in it but the water is very expensive 58php for 500ml. I just got water from the supermarket and put it in the fridge. The staff were friendly but aren't there overnight. I arrived back late after they'd left and the security guard had to sort my room key. There is a pool and a pool side bar/restaurant, which are lovely. The property is NOT beachfront - the beach is a good 1km walk away and has a 300php surcharge. I didn't use the beach because of this and I think that this and the 24 hour reception tag needs to be removed from the listing on the website. The hotel is nice and quiet, a good place to relax.

Deep Forest Garden Inn was a very nice stay. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and did the job for a single night. As well as the pool and garden area was very nice too. The only downside was that the location didn't have many shops or restaurants within walking distance. Overall a great stay

This property is completely falsely advertised online. It's is old, run down and the facilities are out of date. The local staff were lovely and helpful and are obviously doing what they can with what they have. It needs so much work. The bugs in the room on arrival was not ideal. Everything is old and run down. This is not a 3 star hotel and has been falsely advertised with misleading images on Expedia.

Fun stay at Deep Forest

It was a nice place, clean felt like a piece of the country and tranquility right in town. Reception was friendly and helpful. It was close enough to the airport and whatever you needed. Getting transportation was easy. You could even rent a motorbike right at reception.

Friendly staff but not knowledgeable and poor maintenance. I love dogs but their waste needs to be picked up. Food was average but we only wanted breakfast because the dog waste got smelly in the afternoon and we couldn’t eat outside. The sink leaked and it wasn’t fixed by the staff. Overall, the place could be better managed but until that time, I do not recommend staying here although it is affordable. .

If you want a secluded area to be away from the hustle and bustle of tricycles and other noises, this is the place for you. That’s exactly what we wanted.

Pros:
Staff: friendly and helpful
Food: great not perfect
Vibe/environment: jungle forest like feel
-a plus was the two dogs that you can walk around.

Cons:
-Our shower had to water pressure so it was barely giving us drops so that was annoying.
-ANTS and MOSQUITOS WERE EVERYWHEREEEEE.
-I wished the dogs were free roaming at night like they have stated on one of their bulletin boards.

Over the place is ok, there is not much around the property. Hotel rooms are basic and needs some upgrading. Service was poor, there was little to no assistance whenever we needed something. We had to leave the key at the front desk whenever we left the property and when we got back to the hotel around 1030pm the keys was just left on the table of the front desk unattended. The key concept felt unsafe and for our belongings. Anyone can just come up and grab a key at that point...

The sculptures and decorations caught my attention in booking this hotel. Very unique. However, the restaurant is not always open which is totally different from other hotels and there wasn't any note about we have to inform them the night before if we want to dine in for breakfast or not. First night we did have the chance to eat because we informed them the night before since we will leave early, before 7 am (open time), however the next day which was Sunday we didn't have breakfast and no one was around. We did not know that they close the restaurant on Sunday and we didn't inform them the night before because we though they will be open at 7 am. It wasn't us who didn't know, we saw many guests coming to the reception as well asking for breakfast and no one was around. I think it is best to always include breakfast during the stay esp that the location does not have any restaurant close by that guests can walk. Pick up from tours are always between 7-8 am so having inhouse breakfast would be ideal. Staff are all nice and accommodating. No attitudes.

In rooms- we don't have thermos or water heater for coffee or noodles if we want to have snacks which would have been nice to have since guests come from different time zone and may need to have something warm anytime.

The place was pleasant with beautiful scenery inside the property. The rooms were a little bit rundown, but very fair for the price in my opinion. The restaurant was very limited with options and very overpriced and took a long time to receive what you ordered as I believe they were coming from a different location off the property, but I could be wrong on that but it sure seemed like it for how long it took and how the meals weren’t very hot when received. To top it off though there were people smoking in the posted no smoking areas, including inside the restaurant area, which was very disturbing and nearly ruining my stay, and staff didn’t seem to be too concerned in doing anything about it, even though this is apparently illegal in the Philippines to be smoking in common areas.

This property is extremely hard to find. The check in desk is barely staffed and has limited hours. The room key has a large wood block attached to it and they request that you leave it at the unstaffed desk if you go out at night - and they are not responsible for anything lost or stolen. They also charge to consume water in your room - even though there is no signage.

It’s unfortunate with Covid, but I pray this hotel can get back to regular operations. Pool area needs some work, but that’s easy enough to do. Over great rooms. Staff are absolutely incredible, all of them!
Overall a very pleasant place to stay. I was there mid nov for a few weeks, then going back next week after this next leg of the journey is complete.

So, I spent about a week here in room 15 in November 2022. Overall, I liked the place and would stay here again. This place was hit hard by the pandemic and lack of tourism meant that many of the rooms had not been used in a while. I saw very few other guests while I was here. Hopefully as tourism picks up, improvements will be made. Location is a bit far from the center of town, but that made it a nice quiet location. Getting places was easy with trikes or you can rent a scooter for a few days for less than $10(USD)/day.. The hotel itself had a strange artistic theme and looks just like the images, however, perhaps a little more dated. Most trike drivers know of this Hotel and how to find it.

Pros:
-Good value for the $$
-Clean
-No bugs, except the occasional mosquito
-Very quiet
-Working fridge
-Working AC
-Interesting design
-Large room
-Large bay window overlook pool
-Some small sari sari stores close by

Cons:
-Initially, the room had musty smell like it had not been used in a long time. This went away after the AC had been on for a few hours.
-Hot water heater in the shower did not work correctly
-The bathroom toilet did not flush normally and you needed to raise the handle to stop the water flow.
-The bathroom sink really needs a refresh. The wood looked a bit water damaged
-No safe in room must lock valuables in the front office in plywood boxes. (I did lock my valuables here and there was no issues).

Had a great time with the family. Although the restaurant is not fully open yet, they allowed us to bring food in the room so we don't have to order food outside all the time.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. The staff are friendly and approachable.

Note: The pool needs to be cleaned frequently for the guest to enjoy swimming.

Great facilities even in this time the hotel only had a few guests because of covid.
Maybe this is the reason that there were half a dozen cats roaming around, whole place smelled of cat pee and excrement. Didn’t want to use the pool because of the smell all over outside.
Hopefully the cat problem was just because they were on skeleton staff with Covid. If it weren’t for the cats this place would have a great rating.

WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THE PLACE. Room and bathroom are not clean there are bed bugs and wi fi does not work in our room you have to go out we asked for our room to be clean but it was not attended. We are asking for a receipt for our room charges and itemized charges of what we consumed there was none and they insisted that room accommodation receipt will come from Travelocity.
