My room was clean as it could be but in need of repair and had a mouldy odour. Bed was comfortable and aircon worked well. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Location reasonable as could walk to good restaurants, groceries and atms. There was a restaurant onsite however I did not eat there. Value for money.

Horrible customer service and tour!

Our main complaint about this hotel is the unprofessional service in relation to a tour we booked through them. We booked the tour to see the underground caves. We were in the lobby at 6:45 a.m. The driver drove like a mad man for about 1.5 hours through curvy roads. It was a miserable ride. We get there and the place is packed. Our group was #57 in line for a boat. Within about an hour of waiting on the dock many of the boats were coming back in because of rough seas, and the majority of the captains were refusing to go back out. At this point, we just wanted to go back to our hotel. The guide kept saying to wait, because we might get on a boat. If the captains are saying the sea is dangerous, I don't want to get on a boat! We spent the entire day sitting on a hot, uncomfortable dock and never got on a boat to do the tour. Then an ambulance pulls up and is putting an injured lady on a stretcher. We found out one of the boats capsized! The guide tells us at 1:30 there's no chance of getting on a boat, and we could eat lunch now. Many tourists were angry, not hungry, and just wanted to leave. We didn't eat and got back on the uncomfortable shuttle. We got to Blue Lagoon about 4:00 p.m. We were expecting a full refund. We got a partial refund, but still had to pay the driver and guide. We were furious! If they would have told us that morning that the seas were rough and we might not get on a boat, we wouldn't have wasted our only day in Puerto Princesa on a horrible \"tour.\"

Good hotel if you just need to chill out. Wifi was good to have in room, if you stayed close to the office!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Cheap airport shuttle!! Close to a lot of food places!! Pool was nice too!

It’s a place to wait for your flight so what you want is relax... very close to the airport it take just few minutes and you can take a tricycle for PHP 30!
The pool is very worth...

Great place to stay just off the main strip

We stayed at the blue lagoon in Puerto princessa for 3 nights before heading to port Barton and el nido. It is situated just off the main street for bars and restaurants. Do not let the approach to the hotel down the dirt road put you off! The rooms were all very clean and the air con worked well. We were asked every day if we would like our room cleaned. All staff were very friendly and polite. All drinks, food and trip are charged to the room but are all affordable. The restaurant does decent food too. The only downside the the very limited space around the pool, there was 6 of us but we made it work.

Standard room was tiny with small double bed. Out of town down dirt road. Pool far to warm to be refreshing. Basic hotel/motel that I would rate 1.5 stars not 3. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great hotel for the price.

This low priced hotel is on a quiet street not too far from downtown. Rooms are small but nice and clean. Well kept. Good wifi. Desk and restaurant staff are excellent. Very nice swimming pool. Was a great place for our short stay.

Better if 2 hours extension can be free

Bad service with overbooked room

They overbooked the standard room and put me in a dormitory instead. I was forced to accept it as there is no other room left. I requested them to refund me the price difference in for the 2 rooms. They refused and only agree to give me a free breakfast. They said there is free shutter to the airport, but that only starts at 8 am. I had to go to the airport early, they asked me to pay the tricycle myself. There was a lot of argument, but they finally paid for it. The wi-fi there is equal to nothing.There are a lot of connection shows up, but none of them are connectable. I will not choose the hotel again if there is the next time.

Blue Lagoon never disappoints. Great service and staff. It's close to the airport and the pool is great. They've always been very welcoming to guests that visit to use the pool and restaurant, which is great if you need a place to entertain friends or family. Great prices here through Hotels.com match local discounted prices.

Good hotel to stay in

I stayed in this hotel for four nights. Overall, I had a good experience. My only complaint has to do with slow and unreliable wifi/internet. Not only one has to be in the lobby area to connect, too many times it does not work. I asked the staff to reset the router several times. Once rest, it worked most of the time, not all the time.
A mall is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Also Imas vegetarian restaurant, where one can find the best vegetarian food in town, is about 10 minutes walking distance. Very close to the airport.

Nice hotel, the staff were great!

We stayed here for 5 nights, all of the staff were so kind and friendly & all of the restaurants that they recommended were excellent. The hotel is kept immaculately clean and all of the staff that you come into contact with are great. We did the Underground river tour & the Island hopping which were both great. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel close to the airport and town.

We were met by very friendly accommodating staff. The grounds and pool are well maintained and in excellent condition. Their pictures on the website are a true reflection of the facilities.

No difference in size between a \"full\" bed and a \"double\" bed ... pay extra and you get the same bed but with a few more square feet of space in room. Very close to Bureau of Immigration if you need to renew your tourist visa, however.

Best bang for you buck in this region

shuttle picked us up at the airport ,and we received a welcome fruit drink as we checked in. everyone was all smiles.
the room was small ,however I booked the standard room so it was expected.
the AC was new , and worked well.
the TV was also new , and reception fine.
the internet was available everywhere , however in the room is was hit , and miss. much stronger in the pool , and lobby.
the bed was full size but cozy for me and my small wife :) we did need extra pillows which we received upon request.
the food was very good , however somewhat pricey. a lot of the local restaurants are also overpriced , so shop around but make sure u eat at Kahlui!!!!
the staff was the highlight at the hotel!!! the F+B girls had a great sense of humor.
I will stay here again if I'm in Palawan.

Blue Lagoon Nights

We stayed for 8 days at Blue Lagoon on our vacation. They are very friendly and professional staff. They have a great Chef Eric to keep up quality and tasty food. Both Filipino & American dishes. It is very well kept & clean. The staff help celebrate my birthday.

Sea turtle biologists love Blue Lagoon

This was a business stay. Three of us were in town for aerial surveys. Blue Lagoon is now our new \"HQ\" away from home. We loved being able to dip in the pool after a long hot day, and the staff were great. Food is good, rooms are clean and basic, but have everything you need. Will be booking it for my next ten trips to Puerto!

overall the hotel is nice. my experience will be spotless if not for the hotell staff who arrange our tours. well let me clarify he didnt arrange it at all.. but thanks to the rest of the staff that help us, our pps experience is still amazing. ill be forgiving and still recommend the place to all my friends. very clean and accomodating. pls ask guest though if they want housekeeping while in their stay :)

Great location!

The hotel is nice, everyone is very helpful and friendly. It's very close and convenient to the airport. The free hotel transfer is very nice and the restaurant food is good. Our room was a lot smaller than I was expecting, and the water pressure in the shower is very low. It would not be great if you are looking for luxury or privacy. The pool is nice but awkward because it is the in the middle of many rooms, so people on their porches are just staring at you while you swim. However, it was nice, clean and convenient as a stopover in Puerto Princesa. It's also close to a lot of restaurants and they can help you find whatever you need.

Accessible, quiet, peaceful

The only thing was that the sheets were kind of worn and uncomfortable - nubby - and some short black hairs were stuck to the fitted sheet. (Did someone shave in bed?) And there were a couple of small holes in the bottom fitted sheet, so I would suggest they get some sheets of better. Other than that everything was perfect so I still gave an excellent overall rating.Love

Palawan Experience - 9/29/14 - 10/01/14

Since we're both still having stomach flu, we're a bit uncomfortable inside the room because of the tightness of space, bathroom has limited supply of TP. However, since most of the time we're outside, we're able to enjoy it to the fullest.
The staff are very friendly, it's great recommendation for us to go firefly/stargazing. Dinner is great and the tour is excellent! That's the highlight of my trip besides the underground river!
