The service was good as they offered complementary laundry service during the weekdays if I stayed 2 nights or more so it was really good service. The reception ladies were really cheerful and helpful. Overall, the experience in this hotel was satisfying. One thing that I wasn’t happy was Wi-Fi. The WiFi speed was terribly slow. I hope they will improve on this.

It's relatively new hotel with complete and good hardware facility. The service is very good and comfortable. There is subway stay and many resturants,coffee shops,convenience shops closely.
Only concern :the chair in my room is not adjustable. Then the bellman took another higher one. It's better for typing even the new one is not adjustable too.

Affordable comfortable stay in Bundang with tub.
Affordable option for Bundang area. Mate has always been my go to hotel in Bundang for stays in Pangyo, Seohyeon, Sunae, Jeongja or Migeum stations. The best part is the large beds and separate tub. Love coming back to the hotel after a long day of work to shower and then sit in the tub for an hour or so.

Whenever I have a biz trip to Pangyo, Mate Hotel is on my top of the list; and, I've been going back here for years now. Yeah, perhaps it's not the newest or latest hotel now that there's been more hotels risen around the area... yet I had seldom seen the level of support/care the hotel staff has given me going beyond and above their responsibilities in my 10 years history of international business trips. That, plus reasonable cost of stay, the location, and the clearness of very private rooms, makes Mate a top notch hotel for me. In my just past biz trip there, I had a boxed bicycle I had brought with me to give to my parents in Busan. There were no taxi who'd take me to drop it off to a logistics company, logistics companies had refused to get it picked up from the hotel, etc. These folks brought out their van to help me deliver it to a delivery service company, professionally, friendly, no complaints, no cost charged to me (I would not have minded paying for the service). Well... I normally don't write reviews, but just assign stars, but I was compelled that these guys deserved it. I look forward to staying at Mate Hotel again in the future.

The stay was great overall. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were in rush to head to a friend's wedding right after checking in, but they helped call a cab and wrote down the address in Korean. We needed to get some medicine and they told us where the pharmacy is, etc... The location-wise, it was convenient for our 1st purpose (visiting the friend's wedding) because it is just a subway station away. It was not, however, for our 2nd purpose (sightseeing) because it is quite far from the Seoul city center. The area gets quite noisy at night and morning with near-by construction, too.

I really like Mate Hotel for the staff and location. Easy to get to Seohyeon station plus the limos to the airport (5300 and 5400). The fitness room isn't the greatest, but at least they have one. My only complaint is that the location is a bit noisy since Seohyeon is a popular place to be.

Uncomfortable bathroom
Acceptable location from airport bus stop (they offered free suttle service, if you call from airport), but no view. there was semi see through curtain to devide the room and the bathroom. I had a visitor for short time but had difficult time going to toilet. The safe was not working, needed to talk to front to fix it. There is a charge if you request late check out. Make me wonder if the hotel charge by the hour.

Good business hotel as long as you speak Korean
This hotel was supposedly catered to international business folks, but as it turned out, many staff didn't speak English and in-room instructions for AC and TV were all in Korean. In addition my room smelled like fish. As it turned out, my room was facing directly to restaurants next door. Also, the walk from the limousine bus stop to the hotel is about 10 minutes, not 3 as mentioned on their Expedia description. The restaurant in the hotel did not offer any food at night but there are plenty of places to eat as long as you speak Korean.
