Stunning property. Lovely pool. Buffet breakfast was not accommodating for someone who doesn't eat meat. I did request a small piece of smoked salmon but was told that would be à la cart. For $40 to eat an omelette and some fruit I could have done better elsewhere but the grounds are amazing and the room and bed was very comfortable!

Went with my husband and teenage daughter over new years 2025/6. Absolutely loved it—the location, the staff, the cleanliness, the pool, the courtyards. One note, we had a room w 2 full beds—and the beds for my husband and I were a bit small even though we are both lean. But we made it just fine. We would absolutely return!

I had a wonderful stay overall, the hotel exudes charm and comfort with friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a great location close to everything I needed. The room was spacious and well-kept, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

The only drawback was the bathroom. While clean, the shower and plumbing definitely showed their age. Drainage was slow. Water pressure was good. A small update there would make the experience perfect.

Despite that, the overall service and ambiance more than made up for it. I’d happily stay here again once the bathrooms get a little refresh.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The attention of the staff is outstanding since the very first day they make us feel welcome and very comfortable. I loved the breakfast at the hotel restaurant, every morning they had guitar duo singing boleros and traditional mexican songs. The food was delicious and on weekends they have a very complete mexican food buffet. My kids loved the large pool. The property had some events for the Guelaguetza which were really nice. The location is great, two blocks away from Santo Domingo plaza and walkable distance to restaurants, art gallerias, local markets, coffee shops, main square and main streets. Great hotel.

Perfect location for exploring the city. In the middle to everything- great restaurants and all the sights. We are able to witness the Guelaguetza festival and head back to the room for a rest in a well soundproofed room. We found this proper to be stunning and very cool historically. Some reviews say the hotel is old, which they are not wrong in the fact that this building is hundreds of years old. But I didn’t find the rooms to be rundown or dingy, just old in a historical way. Our room was very nice and had a window looking out to the street where we got to watch a lot of calendas go by which we loved. Being on the street side you could definitely hear some noise from the street below, but it wasn’t enough to disturb us. The staff were so wonderful and welcoming. They were constantly making sure we had what we needed and answering our questions. I would definitely stay here again!

The Quinta Real is a very nice property in the center of town but not too busy. The staff are lovely and attentive. It didn’t seem too busy but we weren’t upgraded and the King room on the side on the 2nd floor was tight tight tight. Well appointed and all but tiny.
