Our trip to São Luís was unexpectedly interrupted after the airline cancelled our flight, making it impossible for us to fly to Brazil and arrive on the date of our reservation.
As soon as we learned we wouldn’t be able to make it, we tried calling the hotel several times, but couldn’t reach anyone. Hotels.com also spent over a day attempting to contact the property on our behalf, without any success.
After check-in time, we were informed that the hotel did not authorize any flexibility — no date change, no credit, no acknowledgment of the situation — and we were charged the full amount. We fully understand that our booking was non-refundable, and we weren’t expecting special treatment — just a bit of empathy or basic customer support.
What left us most disappointed wasn’t the policy itself, but the complete lack of communication. We genuinely tried to sort things out, and all attempts (ours and Hotels.com’s) went unanswered.
We still plan to visit São Luís soon, but after this experience, we’ll definitely be staying somewhere else — ideally somewhere that shows at least a minimum level of customer service and consideration for guests dealing with unexpected travel issues.

Atendimento impecável só tenho a agradecer, a meu pedido anteciparam o meu checkin e estenderam o meu checkout em 1 hora, cederam toalhas para banho sem dificuldade, atendentes muito educados. O negativo é só o café da manhã, o hotel oferece tapioca, omelete, cuscuz feito a pedido mas é tudo mal feito sem sabor, sem amor, parece que é feito por obrigação, ruim mesmo.

As paredes dos apartamentos são muito finas, então você acorda com o alarme do quarto ao lado e principalmente acorda com o barulho dos grupos que saem com as bagagens batendo no chão e as portas dos quartos fechando durante a madrugada. Local bem localizado na area turistica, em frente a praia. Camas e travesseiros muito confortaveis, otimo chuveiro, splits gelando. Café da manha variado, ainda que alguns itens com reposiçao lenta. Tivemos problemas com os elevadores. Chegamos com um quebrado e saímos com os dois nao funcionantes, o que nos obrigou inclusive a descer com as malas do 3 andar pelas escadas.

Foi a quarta hospedagem, dessa vez no terceiro andar, em quarto Luxo. Á partir da meia noite do dia do check-in, ouvia-se barulho de exaustor no duto de ventilação do banheiro, embora não houvesse exaustor no banheiro. Na manhã do dia seguinte, o cheiro de comida no banheiro era forte e proveniente da cozinha, 3 andares abaixo do quarto 327. O salão do café da manhã tinha odor muito forte de comida, que impregnava cabelo e roupas. Foi informado que um grande grupo de turistas chegaria para o almoço, o que não justifica a falta de equipamentos de exaustão eficazes na cozinha. Foi solicitada a troca de quarto e a recepcionista sugeriu pagamento a mais por outro quarto. Na segunda vez, o funcionário Pedro, do setor de reserva, fez a troca sem problemas.

A nossa estadia foi decepcionante: elevador parou de funcionar por um tempo, faltou água no hotel por horas e quando voltou, demorou para esquentar. Quando reclamávamos, os funcionários não conseguiam resolver e diziam que era para aguardar. A limpeza era mais ou menos e o café da manhã era bem razoável (com poucas opções e uma reposição demorada, quando havia); o atendimento dos funcionários deixou a desejar, somente a localização que é ótima.
