5* not now - shame

The large room with terrace that we booked at extra cost was stunning. Huge room and very large terrace with chairs, table and sun loungers. The Hotel itself was clearly built as a luxurious 5* Hotel some years ago. Unfortunately, it has declined a bit, now starting to look tatty, chairs on the terrace with wicker peeling off, cushions that have seen much better days, fake plastic wicker peeling off the table. The stunning large bathroom with bath and separate shower, plus WC enclosed with glass door gives a clue as to the original aim of the Hotel, to be 5*. However, they need to maintain these facilities to keep up that rating. So, the dripping tap did not impress. On arrival, the room was absolutely freezing, someone had set the air conditioning to way below what is now allowed by law. Took me 10 minute to try and work out how to turn the whole thing off. The Wi-Fi was good and worked on the terrace as well. We used the Spa which was fantastic, one of the best Dynamic pools I have used. The biggest disappointment was not the Hotel, but the Hotel guests-never before in a 5* Hotel have I seen idiots arriving in shorts, T-Shirts and/or Sportswear for dinner. Could not believe that the Hotel allowed this. When eating my dinner, I do not want to see an ugly male in a vest showing off all underarm hair, made me sick. Could not believe they were not turned away at the door. Very bad.
Overall, I would not stay again.

The place was nice and quiet and had Nice features, but the golf course was in abysmal shape and very rugged- think very poor Municiple course. The spa could have been excellent but the none of the pools where hot only tepped. , the steam room was not working, and the indoor pool was to hot inside to be comfortable- lacked venting- The beds were hard as a rock- The staff however were all very nice and helpfull.

Overall impression of the hotel was very good. Parking was easy. Rooms were reasonably spacious, warm and comfortable. No coffee making in the room. The breakfast buffet was extensive including some made to order items like pancakes. The outdoor pool looked attractive, but wrong season for us. The indoor pool room was really warm. The water was very inviting, although we didn’t go in.

Excellent spa

We went for a golf trip where the men golfed and the women used the spa. The spa was excellent. I understand the golf was challenging. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection of cold and cooked items plus fruit and pastries. We all had a buffet dinner which was very pleasant.

We stayed in October it was very peaceful, there was a wedding when we stayed lovely to see
All the staff where friendly and helpful it was cheap to eat and drink the food was lovely
The only negative was having to use the car everywhere we wanted to go
And the smell coming from our bathroom

Mountain Retreat!!

This hotel is a little gem nestled in the mountains, but only a 15 minute drive to nearest beaches. A car is a must, but that gives the opportunity to explore the beautiful area, with local life and fine dining (though they had some better known American franchises too).The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. Indore and outdoor pools looked good and were staffed all day, but we did not go in.
The gym was one of the biggest I have ever seen, with a climbing wall, spinning, treadmills, weights, they even did classes.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay an would go back (and will go back).

Wonderful stay in a relaxing environment

We had a wonderful time. The hotel was spotless, the rooms spacious and the staff superb. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the mountains and had drink at night in the lovely terrace. We didn’t do the spa and we didn’t play golf because we preferred to spend our time in the beach in Aguadulce (10 minutes). The best hotel in the area.

In need of fumigator!

This hotel is a beautiful property. With a great staff. However the bathroom was home to thousands of little black bugs. They were crawling all over the floors, walls and counter tops.

Lovely quiet hotel off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle of resorts. Tranquil setting and rooms are top notch. The bathrooms have a large bath; walk in shower; his and hers vanity sinks; toilet and bidet. Beds are very comfortable.

Room is spacious. Room service was hit and miss. Same breakfast was different every days with things missing. Things like food and glasses. Things like when asking for bottles of water, no glasses would arrive or bottle opener. Restaurant food was poor. We are very forgiving of different cooking styles, although microwave macaroni booinaise with cheese does not proport to be spaghetti boloniase. They couldn't even get a simple club sandwich right with half cooked chips. For a 5 star hotel this is poor.

Made to feel unwelcome. No food service after 8 unless in bar and food there was inedible. Was catering to lots of wedding guests and seemed to find our reservation made on Exoedia to be an insult. Refused us dining at main dining hall. Also worst bed I have ever slept in and I am not that picky.

Amazing Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Envia. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful even with though most of them spoke limited english.
I have a 4mths old baby and they washed all my bottles and provided boiled water all the time. Special thanks to Mohamed who got me a hair appt with the hairdresser at very short notice.

Accommodation was in very good condition but food was terrible as was the service from staff. A great hotel if you want somewhere quiet and are happy to be on your own. Food wise, go out or get the snacks rather than main meals........ Good value though as it was very cheap.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and had a hire car- we found it was easy enough to get to the hotel from the motorway but in the evening time we went for a drive to find a restaurant and found the surrounding area was not very nice at all. We followed signs for Roquetas de Mar and found ourselves in a large poorly-lit suberb which did not feel very safe at all.
We got room-service in the hotel which was very nice and great value. I also used the spa and got a massage which again was lovely and good value.
I would recommend the hotel but warn others to be careful when driving at night!

No ahi servicio de comidas, solo un snack bar, en buffet de la cena penoso, contratamos 4 y fuimos 2, se cayo un poco de leche en polvo de un biberon en la mesita y 2 dias sin limpiarla, a las 15 de la tarde ya no ahi toallas en la piscina, cables de la luz y fichas de empalme en el baño colgando y visibles, ahi mas luces sin tulipas en recepción que con ellas.... mejor no seguir, habria que revisar quien dijo que este hotel es merecedor de estrellas.. 3 y justillas

Lo malo es que faltan tumbonas en la piscina. Siendo un 5 estrellas, no deberias sentirte como si estuvieras en Benidorm a la caza de donde tumbarte en la piscina.

Hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en el hotel. Han sido todos super amables, servicio inmejorable, instalaciones maravillosas, buffet del desayuno de diez, las vistas a la piscina, la habitación super bien equipada y muy grande, con una terraza súper amplia. Gracias!

El mejor hotel en que he estado, después de haber estado en muchísimos hoteles por trabajo, deporte, en familia, he encontrado uno que me encantó en todos los sentidos. El Staff super simpático y prestables, un hotel antiguo pero muy bien cuidado, sin cosas rotas ni mal pintadas, aún con unas condiciones increíbles. La Ludoteca con Rocódromo super buena, con muchos juguetes y niños, mi hija tenía ganas de ir todos los días, el Gimnasio también lo usan para clientes de calle y está súper bien, se puede entrenar enserio. El Bar con muy buen ambiente, buen precio, buena comida y muy buen servicio(Recomiendo las Hamburguesas). El desayuno de Buffet muy variado y con alguna calidad. La piscina exterior muy grande, con muchísimas tumbonas y espacio, y encima con servicio de Bar de bebidas y comida sin tener que pagar extra por el servicio. La piscina interior muy bonita y cómodo, solo que está un poco fría. Las habitaciones amplias y cómodas, con un baño muy espacioso. Los y las recepcionistas muy prestables y simpáticos a todo el tiempo y eso que también tiene un Botones( servicio casi inexistente)siempre a punto de ayudar. Vamos un hotel super completo, donde te tratan super bien, no te sientes robado por los costes y con un comodidad increíble. Para no decir que está todo cerca y Almería tiene mucho que ver y disfrutar. El mejor Hotel de siempre!! Y trabajé en unos cuantos hoteles, se de lo que hablo.

Muy buen hotel

El hotel es fantástico y su personal también, amables y atentos. No le doy 5 estrellas en global porque el buffet, aunque fue mejorando desde el primer al último día, creo que está por debajo de un hotel de 5 estrellas.
El restaurante de carta fenomenal.
Piscina: muy chula aunque no estaba al 100%, creo que la estaban preparando para los meses fuertes de verano.
Muy bonito el campo de golf y divertido de jugar.

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel with relaxing atmosphere. One of the best breakfast i got on a hotel. Hotel is bad located so dont come without a car. They have free outside parking.

Only really bad thing about the hotel is the flies around the pool. They dont bother you inside the pool, just when taking sun.

Mala atención del personal

El hotel en apariencia es espectacular, pero en la habitación una de las camas tenia pelusas en su interior, aunque al haber 2 camas grandes dormimos en una, y el aire acondicionado hacía un ruido como una metralleta a menudo. Al comentarlo en recepción tan sólo dijeron que tomaban nota, pero ni pidieron disculpas, algo chocante en un hotel de estas características, por lo que la estancia quedó bastante enturbiada

Cinco estrellas a falta de renovación

Hotel de cinco estrellas, con habitaciones antiguas. El desayuno muy justo, para ser un cinco estrellas. La televisión de la habitación muy pequeña y con pocos canales. El personal en general muy agradables, excepto un camarero al que le pedimos un expreso para el desayuno y no le sentó muy bien, nos dijo “se lo tendré que hacer” con mala cara. El campo del golf está justo al lado.
