Excellent accomodation, clean, tidy, good amenities and quite comfortable. Bathroom just a bit snug but otherwise very good.
Excellent range to choose from for breakfast and had a choice of almost real coffee (automatice machine not barista) but best breakfast coffee yet in Japan.

Absolutely wonderful experience inside the hotel. Very new and clean rooms with excellent views. Terrific breakfast. The hotel’s only small downside is that it is slightly isolated - very convenient to the convention center next door, but not much else. I would absolutely stay here again if visiting Niigata.

Great location

Great modern hotel on the bay! Great access to the Sado island ferry! The ferry terminal connects directly to the hotel through the convention center. There is a cafe below and a convienence store they open around 8 or 9. Also Chinese food. It’s a ways away from the main center so I don’t know how convienient it is from the train station but there is a bus 230 yen. Rooms are clean and they even upgraded us to the river view and you can see a gorgeous sunset over Sado Island. Also great if you are taking ferry to Hokkaido as the taxi station is right below.

Luxury in the skies

Thoroughly friendly skyrise hotel. Probably for businessmen and conventions, but great for the weary tourist too. Tons of parking, a great gift shop, and a very good restaurant for lunch. Perfect locale if the ferry to Sado Island is your next stop.

Great hotel to stay in Niigata

Amazing hotel in Niigata! Great service from the staff. They have a person who will greet you when you enter. Another person waiting at the elevator. Reception staff are very kind and friendly. Hotel accommodation is great. View of Niigata city is very nice. Across from the hotel is the Bandai pier where you can find the seafood market and the street food. Close to Niigata station.

Hotel was nice, view was beautiful, if you get the side of sado island you can see it from your room. Closest hotel to sado kisen port but outside of that, there's really nothing close by unless you walk about 10 minutes.

The staff are wondedul and efficient. They responded quickly and positively to my enquiry about the nearest parking lot as my husband had a sprained ankle. They kindly reserved the best parking space for us. We appreciated this very very much!! Thank you! As we stayed only one night and checked in quite late, we went to have the only opened restaurant at the hotel which served Chinese food. Though there were few food choice, the food is of good quality with good service. We were lucky to see fireworks though the windows closely that night while having dinner. What a surprise!!

The room I had was very clean and had a beautiful view from the 25th floor. The service at the Hotel Nikko Niigata was excellent – as was the buffet breakfast. I found the bed to be extremely hard – and uncomfortable from what I’m used to in North America and Australia – but hard beds seem to be common in Japan [in South Korea they tend to be even harder] and when I mentioned this to the front desk they tried to remedy the situation. The hotel is not really walking distance from the JR Station Niigata (where the Shinkansen from Tokyo arrives) but the cab fare in only $7.00-8.00 or one can take a bus at the bus station just outside the JR Station [the bus for Toki Messa where the Nikko Hotel is located currently leaves from location 3]. Overall, I’d enthusiastically recommend this hotel.

On top of the convention center and they had Shuttel service to town and the train and bus area which was about a 10 minute bus ride. The shuttle bus was running all day from 7 am to 11:00 pm
Everything 30 minutes.

Upscale hotel in good location with excellent staf

I spent 2 nights at hotel Nikko Niigata in a room on 26th floor with great views. Staff was extremely helpful. I spent a day visiting Sado island but was unable to return at the end of the day due to ferry cancellation because of bad weather. I informed hotel staff who was very understanding, and even though I returned after 12pm the next day I was not charged late check-out fees. They also helped me book taxi to Niigata station so that I could make the next Shinkansen train.

The hotel oversold my room type so I was upgraded to a larger room on the 26th floor overlooking the Sea of Japan. It was an absolutely stunning view. The service was very friendly and timely to my needs. When I had an issue connecting to the hotel's wifi, they sent someone to my room within 10 minutes to assist. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was great value for the price, the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. It was about 20 minutes walk from the hotel to places I wanted to go in the city centre but there is a shuttle bus (although I didn't make use of it). There was a nice view of the city from the room window and the wifi worked great. The hotel restaurant seemed a little expensive so I didn't use it.

A very comfortable night at the hotel

It was a surprise in many aspects. Most importantly, it is Japanese clean and the staff shows hospitality. The room is spacious in the Japanese standard. There is a free shuttle bus service to and from the station, and the city loop bus for tourists stops rifht at the hotel. The hotel seems to be the tallest in the city and opens its observatory deck to the public. I think its target customers are mainly Japanese. There are a few TV channels, all in Japanese. They do not offer complimentary bottles of water. Still, a very good hotel...

Modern hotel with great view of Niigata. The top floor is an obervatory, and the guest rooms are right below. Conference center in hotel complex, and nice park nearby. Situated in walkable distance to the Niigata centers (railway station, \"old city center\"). Restaurants in the hotel and in conference center.

I was seeing a concert at the convention center, and this hotel was the best since it's attached to the venue XD I loved it, there's even a convenience store in the building, and it was super peaceful the day before because there was nooooobody at all in that huge hall <3 And they were very nice, and gave me candy :3 The only thing I hated was having to wait until 3PM for my room when I was dead sleepy and arrived at like 10AM but what can be done x__x All hotels do this to me.. thanks for the candy ^^
