Every now & then, you find an absolute Gem, this was most certainly 1 of those occasions, the service at reception was simply outstanding both upon arrival & today on departure, all staff were extremely welcoming & friendly & although we knew no Italian (which is shameful English education system) they all spoke in good, clear English, the food was simply superb, every dish was cooked & presented in perfection, the immediate area around the hotel grounds was meticulously maintained, we chose a room with a partial lake view, but, in fact, it had a superb view & we were in awe. Of the whole feel & vibe of the place, both Caroline & I would like to express our heartfelt warmth & gratitude for the superb attention given throughout our stay, each & everyone we met & spoke to were great ambassadors to your Hotel, thank you, thank you, thank you, hope to see you again in the future.

The resort’s landscaping is amazing, with beautiful lake view. We came to the area for Lake Como, and staying here provides a more peaceful vibe. There is limited wheelchair accessible area, but I believe the resort upgraded us to accommodate our needs. Don’t skip their breakfast with outdoor seating! The variety of food and the view are fantastic.

Views for miles! Amazing stay and gorgeous property. Great service from the staff. Cant fault this property with anything really. It is on a hill, but then you cannot get the views if you dont want to go up. Properly has elevators and good parking, so it is not a problem. The rooms closest to the beach/lake have some traffic noise. Loved this property. The breakfast was the best out of our entire vacation. So much variety. Will be back.

Wonderful stay here with my wife for our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was exceptional and our room had a lovely view of lake Lugano. Definitely come here if you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Also had a day pass for the CEO spa at the hotel next door which was phenomenal! Great stay with family and dog

We stayed here for 5 nights with 2 children and our dog. The staff was amazing (especially Aurora) and the facilities were easily 5 stars. You have a family pool with slides and a quiet 16+ only pool so no need to run for sun-beds! The hotel also has a grass area in front of the lake (with amazing views, bar and watersport activities) including a separate dog area. Please be aware that the hotel is build on a hill so you have to take plenty of stairs although some lifts are available. Food was great and you can choose from pizza’s to fine dining in one of the seven restaurants. The room we originally had was ground floor level and although large enough, not as modern as E24 which had a Great Lake view and large balcony (dog was not able to jump over). You get a fridge and some kitchen equipment (you pay extra if you need more). Dog was 35 euros a night and the parking 20 euros per night. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Please book evening meals in advance as it can get busy. Hotel has also spa and indoor swimming pool which you can use for free (including 18+ area only). It doesn’t take long at all to drive to lake Como. Having a car is definitely beneficial to go to nearby towns or supermarkets.

Could be good but not worth price.

This hotel is another that promises a lot but just falls short. It is a lovely spot and the rooms were nice and food good. I think it is an Italian thing where they think charging for everything on top makes it exclusive whereas the best hotels include everything.

Here are all the areas it felll down. This hotel cost £4.5K for a week, just bare that in mind.

1. You had to pay for parking, €20 a day, so you pay to stay in a hotel only accessible by car and you then pay extra to park, why?

2. Wifi was poor to terrible - just fix it, don’t blame things, just fix it

3. No service at pools, I would expect in a place of this costs to have table service for drinks and food. The adult pool does not have food delivered

4. In fifty years, the first summer hotel I have been at that does not have outside dining for the main restaurant. Big miss and beware if you are on half board, you eat inside every night

5. Half board only allows you in one restaurant. The others offer small discounts so if you are here a week or more, will get boring fast

6. Service waiters seemed to spend more time joking with themselves and
2 year olds than actually serving you efficiently, some better than others. Seemed
Very laddy.

7. You have to go through locked gates everywhere, with a key, find more a fob solution and make the gates less heavy and cumbersome, feels like prison some days

8. Food very expensive, no snack food, most hotels have something by the pool where you can get a light meal.

This property is huge with direct access to Lake Lugano, kids activity center, 2 pools, and multiple restaurants. There is a lot of walking required to get around the property. It is away from the touristy hustle and bustle, nestled in the mountain with glorious views of the lake. The staff is great and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

Good location to marvel at the sights of Lake Lugano but also a drive away from Lake Como. Recommend hiring a car so you have the freedom. But the resort has a bus stop just outside to get you to Lugano or nearby Porlezza. You can catch a train from Lugano to Como or to Milan for a day trip.

This is a beautiful resort with amazing views, ambience and overall service. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. Needless to say, the area is beautiful. Trips to Lake Como towns are easy to arrange, and the staff help attentively with helping to plan this. I stayed in 2 different rooms during my stay - the first was a little dated but nice and clean, the second was much more modern and renovated. Both had stunning views. The fitness centre stood out as quite dated and needing renovation. Otherwise, the amenities on the property are incredible. Great stay and would come again!!!

Very well resourced resort with fabulous location. Modern and clean and friendly staff. This is a Hotel for Families so if you are looking for quiet, choose another Hotel.
Breakfast at EUR 30.00 is over priced, go to the village instead and have a great breakfast for EUR 9.00. Parking at EUR 20.00 Night is also expensive, though facilities were very good and indoors. If Charging an electric car you have to pay the same price of EUR 15.00 for all. If you have a Hybrid this works out really expensive. If you have a Tesla good value. Hotel need to adapt a time or KWH charging fee. Booking essential for the Grill Restaurant. Take an early morning swim in the lake, beautiful.

We stayed here over September weekend 2019. 2 couples celebrating a big birthday. It is a really nice hotel and spa with fantastic staff who made us feel so very welcome and went the extra mile to make our stay an amazing one. The hotel is perfectly situated if you want to get away from it all but you'll need a car if you want to come and go a bit. I would've given all categories 5 star rating however on the final evening and morning of our stay there was no hot water in our 2 rooms and our breakfasts (served in the 2 rooms) were a bit too cold. The hotel could've taken a little off the bill but didn't offer. Having said that we would gladly use this hotel again as base to chill, and/or explore this stunningly beautiful area of the world. Just wish we'd been able to stay longer. Will definitely be back.

We loved the layout, walkability, various places to eat on-site, the spa and sauna areas, and the staff were all so friendly. There were a lot of families and kids there and we were traveling solo as a couple so it was nice to have the adults-only \"relax\" pool without all the kids. The room and view were also incredible to wake up to every morning. It was also super easy to jump in the car and drive over to Porlezza for meals or to Menaggio to Lake Como. We even took a ferry to Belaggio one day and just really enjoyed the whole area.

Unfortunately the AC was malfunctioning and was not fixed till next day so we could not sleep that night . Next day it was replaced but again failed so by midnight they had to agree to put us in another suite so we can sleep. Otherwise very romantic dinner and good outdoor water facilities for family . Friendly staff specially the hotel manger.

Great hotel for staying within the resort using the facilities. For reataurants with good views, reaervation is required. Although its setting is really beautiful, if you would loke to explore the nearby areas, renting a car seems more reasonable. It’s connected with local buses but they do not run frequently so need to plan excursions carefully, mindful of the bus time table. Overall my family was extremely happy with the hotel and wishes to come back someday.

Was a very nice resort! It’s a 4 and a half star resort to you have certain expectations! One being if the advertise AC they have it! But even though it’s the end of May they haven’t turned it on! They told us it’s because the heat was on but there was no heat in our room! They were kind and delivered a fan to our room which did make a big difference! It is a lovely resort and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parco San Marco. The view of the Alps from our suite was spectacular even through fog and rain. The entire staff from check-in to the restaurant to the spa was friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was spectacular with everything you could possibly think of including a juicer for fresh squeezed carrot and other vegetable juices. Parking was in an enclosed private lot. The indoor pool and spa were kept spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. It was clear that the hotel was fully occupied by the number of people at breakfast, but we never felt we were in a crowd. To top it all off, a full sized bottle of delicious prosecco in our refrigerator greeted us on our arrival. We hope to return some time soon.

Lovely place, well maintained and good staff. Fantastic views over the lake from the room we had, no traffic noise. It's built on a hillside, so lots of steps, although some lifts make things easier in places. Only downside is that there could be quite a lot of young children and noise at times. There is an adult only restaurant area that is more relaxing and peaceful. Some good signed walks for views over the lake from the hotel.

Set on a steep hillside overlooking Lake Lugano, highlights include spacious suites with sitting area and kitchenette (extra 40 E charge if you want equipment), beautiful location next to the lake including lakeside loungers / pizza restaurant / bar and water sports centre), immaculately presented and maintained common areas and gardens and lots of facilities for young children including pool with water slide, table tennis, tennis, kids' clubs etc but there are adult-only dining / pool areas too.
Downsides for some might be that there are lots of children around and childcare is included in the price (so, if you're not travelling with children, you're effectively subsidising this), there's not much going on in the evening and bar service is slow even when the place was seemingly deserted, it's a fair 15 min walk along quite a fast, narrow road to reach the two nearest towns (Cima in one direction, Porlezza in the other), it was a battle to get a table for breakfast for four in the outside, adult-only breakfast area without really insisting on it and moving tables together ourselves (said tables could accommodate four persons for lunch but only two for breakfast (??), which was irksome for our party of four adults), rooms vary considerably in terms of lake view (and are charged accordingly) but our two ground floor 'Kiwi' suites had a disappointing view of a fence / roof and only a glimpse of the lake beyond plus they were at the very top of the site so lots of steps / lifts.

A few small cons: no key cards, they still use keys...weird.
Their facility is geared towards the local European crowd with small children. Kids over 10/12 probably wouldn't be too impressed. We were just there with adult couples.
I would stay there again.

Unbeatable family holiday destination

This is just about the nicest place we have ever stayed as a family. The resort was impeccably maintained and there was SO MUCH to do for BOTH the adults and the kids. Even in late September the kids (age 10, 13, 15) spent hours each day at the waterslide and the pool. The adults had massage and spa treatments. But what really makes the place incredible is the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff. There were SO MANY people and they were amazingly helpful and friendly. We had one Gluten free child and they only had to be told at the first meal of our stay and every time we returned to the restaurant they all knew of her allergy and provided suitable food for her. The views are ridiculous...we just never got tired of staring at the lake and the mountains. The little track that runs from the resort to the local \"La Taverna\" restaurant is probably not ideal for dusk, but is a beautiful stroll and well worth doing. We planned to do so much exploring of the local area but in the end we found it hard to leave the resort much at all !!! We were a traveling group of 7 and it was completely worth upgrading our rooms to the bigger rooms with seperate bedrooms and bathrooms rather than our original plan of a fold out bed. Our only sadness was that one of the restaurant was closed the week we were there, but all the more reason to return !!!

Hotel with beautiful view of the Lake

We decided to stay for the facilities and the access to the lake. Unfortunately, the weather was against us and the lake did not get used. The Spa Facilities were great and my wife had an amazing treatment in the day spa.

Rooms... even though we paid for top level, they were old and tired. The view from the room was terrific and the lake is really something to see. Due to the weather we decided on a late afternoon room service meal.... This was very very disappointing. I would recommend any resort to just clearly state no food available between 3-6pm rather than serve the poor food we received. Hopefully the hint was taken by the large amount left uneaten.

Fortunately, this was not a true reflection of the restaurants on site. The “La Masseria – Beach Terrace & Grill” provided us two great evening meals and superb breakfast each morning. We must thank Tsvetan and Katia for their professionalism and great service during our stay, very knowledgeable and always willing to help.

The location of the Hotel Parco San Marco was ideal, allowed us to walk to near by Porlezza and is short drive to Laguna. Overall, we had a really nice time and must really give credit to all the staff for their effort in making our stay special.

A great place for a week long vacation

This resort exceeded our expectation and offered us exceptional value. We were offered a suite with full kitchen on the top level with a terrace overlooking Lake Lugano. The view was spectacular. The ground was beautiful. The amenities were sufficient for a family vacation. As our stay was during the shoulder season, the resort was by far crowded. So we got to use the indoor pools and other facilities all by ourselves sometimes. The restaurants were good in terms of meals, drinks and services. Buffet breakfast was especially good with a wide variety of pastries and breads. As the resort is on the Italian side, we suspect it to be cheaper than if it were on the Swiss side. We had a car. So we found the location very convenient to drive to Lake Como, Lake Marggiore and nearby towns. It also has a couple of golf courses close by and various water sports available. If we come back to this area, we would definitely stay at this resort again.

Fantastic!

We absolutely loved this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer!! All rooms face the beautiful lake and mountains. Our suite was spacious, nicely decorated, we seriously have zero complaints and would definitely go back! Breakfast was superb - not your usual hotel breakfast!! If you are travelling without kids, book a restaurant for adults only. Family restaurant gets busy and noisy!

Total relaxation!

This resort is one we'll return to for sure. The massage therapists are in top five of those around the EU and US! Just wish bed in room was on higher platform but that didn't take away from all else that was perfect!

an amazing hotel

the website and even the expedia page doesn't do this hotel justice. It's much better in person, great facilities, staff, location and rooms. Clean, fresh, quiet and pleasant. People with and without kids are sort of segregated which is great if you're a couple going for some quality time. Kids are banned from the spa after 4pm and there outdoor pool is on the other side of the site from the adult pool and treatment area. Staff area really helpful and friendly, food is great.

we went out of season, but apart from the wall climbing and archery everything was open and running, we had the spa area to ourselves most of the time. The only thing missing during off season is that only the main restaurant is open, the other two are closed. But I prefer to go to local restaurants of which there are 3 within walking distance.

a hire car is a must, and there are more things to do at lake como which is around a 30min drive. the route is well sign posted but some of the mountain passes are a bit tight, drive slow.

onsite facilities, food aside, are great but I think you would be board after a week if you never left the hotel. even during on season when more things are open. Off season your looking at around 4 days before cabin fever sets in, you will want to go off an explore things in the local area. But I'm not one for staying around the hotel, if your looking for a place to put your towel down and not move for a week or two then this is perfect for you.

The hotel was amazing. Great location, great service, very well kept. Upon arrival, it was not clear as to where we should go. You enter straight into the parking garage; we did not know what to do. Better indications should be provided.
