This hotel is a bit pricey but saved my butt after another hotel I had reserved turned out to be non family-friendly. They took a last minute reservation at 10pm at night. The staff was super helpful and spoke good English so no need for Google translate. Beds were comfortable and fine for four adults. Recommended if you need a quick comfortable one night stay after visiting the castle.

The room we booked was small and I started sneezing and had running nose the minute I entered the room. So we requested for an upgrade. We were given the Nikko Deluxe Twin Room on the top floor with an extra $30+ per night. We stayed for five nights and were very happy with our stay. The room was much bigger, and the most important thing is I had no sinus when I stepped into the room. Besides, there was a bonus having the view of Himeji Castle.

Breakfast was nice with the choice of western food and Japanese. But my concern was I enjoyed eating Japanese style breakfast, but there weren’t much changes in their dishes. After the third day, I started to feel tired of it. Wish there were more changes in their dishes especially the condiments.

One of the elevators was under maintenance when we stayed there. Hence, it left us only one elevator to use. Fortunately we were on the top floor, so we had no problem going down in the morning. For some guests who were on the middle floors, they were not able to get in to the elevator when it was already full. Wish there were three elevators, so at least there were two running while the third one is under maintenance.

Despite, the elevator maintenance, we would choose the hotel again if we were to go to Himeji again.

The location was spot on but the hotel announced that they’re undergoing major renovations upon check in. The room was supposed to be non smoking and it had a sign but the room smelled like it was previously a smoking room. I wanted to swim which is why we chose this hotel and found there was a gym fee. Staff was very accommodating and supportive during our stay but just check the small print.

Hotel is located by the teain station. Its very convenient if youre bouncing around one ciry to the next. Great place to stay the night because its a quiet hotel. I slept very well at night.

My hotel room was clean and spacious. The hotel is a little dated, but it adds to the charm. While most modern 4 star hotels shift towards cardless, it is nice to have a set of keys in hour pocket that reminds you which room you're staying in. I made multiple mistakes using my cardkey to enter a room I was not assigned.

Overall, my experience was great. I had a good nights rest and off to my next city. Arigatou!

Fantastic location next to the train station. I could see Himeji castle from my room. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the castle- but it would be easy to take a bus or taxi if you did not want to walk.
It’s an older hotel, but my room had been refurbished and was very comfortable.

Excellent value at sale rate. Excellent location, less than 100 meters from South exit of Himeji Station. High-end lfeel entering lobby, but our economy room was just typical Japanese business hotel class: a bit bigger than average, but small by Western standards; bathroom about typical J business class. Room was well-appointed, with nice amenties such as haird dryer and extra toiletries, hot water pot and complementary tea and bottled water. However, although room & entire floor was labeled as non-smoking, took several minutes of running a/c and using purifier/humidifier as well as spray freshener (both included) to get rid of cigarette smell.

When arriving at 2:40pm for a check in at 3:00pm they didnt offer an \"early check in\". We asked if we could have a non smoker room but they said the hotel was completely booked. We thought we could handle it but the smell of smoke was terrible as the windows cant be open. This made our stay very incomfortable as we kept on smelling cigarette.
The design of the room is all fashioned.
The breakfast is good.

Hotel room was clean, but a bit outdated. For example: power plugs that were not located conveniently. The location of the hotel was very good, next to the train station and many options available nearby for all kinds of food in every price range. Hotel was able to grant early check-in, 3 hours before the official check-in time.

My wife and I recently enjoyed two days in the very scenic castle town of Himeji, and we found our stay in the Hotel Nikko Himeji to be very enjoyable. The Hotel is very conveniently located in the plaza of the train station, close to all of the major attractions of this city, including the shopping arcade and the famous castle. It is also near many of the good restaurants in Himeji, which are centered around the train station and the castle. Hotel reception was pleasant and efficient, both at check in and check out. Free WiFi was fast and easy to use. Our room was clean, and our bathroom was also clean and properly functioning. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices that were regularly refilled by the staff. We enjoyed staying at Hotel Nikko, and we would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Himeji!

I was absolutely impressed with this hotel. It was my first time staying here and it’s my favorite hotel in Himeji. Clean linens, restock of slippers and hygiene products everyday, delicious breakfast on the first floor, and free bottled water stocked everyday. This location is awesome just a short 2-3 minute walk from the station and there is two convenience stores next door. The staff didn’t speak English well but they were polite and did their best to help me and never gave me any problems. This place values their guests so much and I have never stayed in a place this welcoming in any country. The only problem I did have was finding the check in desk but just a tip: it’s on the second floor.

It’s a shame the lady on reception at check in was lovely & spoke excellent English too. It all went rather down hill from there. The hotel is very tired & shabby. The worst is the room bathroom who’s walls need a good clean as you can see old soap streaks in the light, they are tiled so there’s no excuse. The tables at the Serena cafe are also an example displaying signs of much use to their tops & bashed edges. I checked out the other restaurants but as the man outside the Chinese ignored me & didn’t stop sniffing I gave them all a miss. Breakfast selection was pretty good for Japanese tastes. The roof top bar was closed for an event leaving full paying guests un catered for which is bad at this size of hotel. They have wedding stuff everywhere so expect it’s not a one off situation.

宿泊したお部屋は清潔に保たれており、安心して宿泊ができました。
立地が姫路駅前になりますので、駅からの移動時間が少なく済みます。また、コンビニ、飲食店がホテル周辺にありますので、いろいろ便利です。

また、朝食がついていないプランでの宿泊でしたが、追加で朝食をいただきました。ビュッフェ形式の朝食で、種類も豊富で、朝からお腹いっぱいいただきました。

また姫路に来る際には宿泊しようと思います。
