Excellent hotel, nice staff, very helpful when my partner got sick with extending late checkout! Hotel driver provided by the hotel was extremely dangerous in the traffic speeding 100% over limits (was 50-60 but he was over 120km)

Great hotel, ocean view was perfect for a family with two older teens. Quiet location with lots of restaurants & beach in walking distance, or use Bolt for just a few pounds to get a taxi to the busier main towns. Lovely staff. A perfect mix of quiet & entertainment for those not wanting to stay in the busier tourist locations.

Comfortable and clean rooms, pleasant staff and wonderful location.
While this is a big complex, the staff are always on hand to drive you to and from your room.
The dining and drink options on site are second to none - you don’t need to eat out! We made use of happy hour and particularly enjoyed our Thai dinner in the main restaurant.
There was an excellent gym - with loads of cardio and strength equipment.
One travel tip for this location - Like any hotel in Phuket, be careful to turn off lights before going out - otherwise the moth flies will want to come in when you return!
An even better if - more air conditioning in breakfast. Definitely not a deal breaker because there are plenty of fans but as a pale Brit, I would have appreciated a cooler restaurant.

This was my third stay at Sunsuri Phuket, and I keep coming back for a reason! The pool area and the staff make this hotel truly special. The hillside location offers a stunning setting, with the pool sitting at a higher altitude, ensuring plenty of sunshine throughout the day—more than many nearby spots. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like home. Plus, the beach is just a short distance away, easily accessible by a pleasant walk or the convenient hourly shuttle. Looking forward to my next visit!

Spent a few days at the Sunsuri Phuket resort - excellent facilities, view from the room outstanding and location convenient for NaiHarn beach, walking routes and nearby shopping / restaurants. The pool is a high point for all ages, the sports team led by Keay getting everyone into happy spirits. Kids club, gym, restaurant, reception all really good. Thanks to all the team there!

We stayed a month at this resort and we absolutely loved it! The location is amazing. Ocean views with a short distance walk to the beach. It’s very family friendly . My kids loved it and are already asking when can we be back!

The staff is amazing ! Very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The kitchen staff especially Chef Pan , Mai , Tiwa, Mai Mai, ing, MAs, Kate, Pookam, Art and all the others were just amazing!! My kids made friends with them and we will definitely miss them :)

Highly recommend anyone who is looking to stay not to far from attractions in a beautiful resort!

Sunsuri is a fabulous resort that truly caters to its guests. The shuttle to nearby Nai Harn Beach is convenient. The property itself is gorgeous and the rooms are very nice. The pool complex is good but the water is not deep. It’s an easy cab ride to Rawai and other southern locations on the island, but is inconvenient to get to parts north.

The hotel itself is beautiful, it has a luxury feel, and the pool never felt busy or crowded.
It is well located for the beach
The staff were friendly, the spa service for massage was very good.
We got upgraded to a bigger room on arrival

Things which could be better;

Sunsuri is built into a hillside, as such the rooms cannot be easily accessed via lift/ walking, the hotel provide a 24 hour shuttle from your room to lobby but it’s not ideal for nipping back to the room if you forgot something, to use the toilet etc.

In terms of location, the hotel is a 5 min walk from Nai Harn beach which is a lot quieter than other beaches in Phuket which suited us well, but if you want more nightlife, restaurants etc you may prefer a busier location, we relied on taxis and trips to be able to visit other locations, there isn’t a lot in walking distance and no buses etc, when we asked the best way to visit Phuket old town (40 mins away) we were advised taxi.

I emailed the hotel weeks in advance to advise them of a requirement to provide feather free bedding, but all the bedding was feathered on arrival, it took 3 calls to reception to 3 different people to explain.

The hotel does not cater well for a plant based diet - for evening meal the restaurant could only provide pad Thai with ketchup, or vegetables with soy sauce. Breakfast options were fruit and dry toast. This meant we had to find places to eat out every day and evening.

This hotel was the most impressive one on my two week tour of Thailand. I was given a room with an incredible view of the pool, ocean and temple across the street. The facilities were extremely comfortable. The meals I did have at the hotel were all delicious, affordable and didn't give me indigestion.
The pool was my favorite part of my stay. It was a spectacular experience.

Tucked away on a hilly area, it is very tastefully designed and has a lot of space and amazing swimming pools and activities for children. Easy access to nai hon beach which is really lovely in the late afternoon. Staff are very cheerful and helpful. Swimming pools for kids and adults are thoughtfully designed with a pavillion for resting and enjoying the pool bar. Food was nice and reasonably priced. We had a lake view villla with its own private and shaded swimming pool so was very quiet and convinient. Only downside would be the long walks if staying on one of the blocks further up the hill, but they helpfully shuttle you around on request. We had a downer on our trip as kids got a vomiting bug fron either the food or most likely the swimming pool water. They also seemed to have no rehydration salt etc on site and just asked us to go the doctors. However putting down to bad luck and overall very pleasant chilled out holiday

Really liked the location very close to, but not on, the beach. For early morning and evening walks and a swim on the beach, the place is simply perfect. We didn’t use the pool at all because the weather was very good, and the sea (in terms of clarity and warmth of the water) was by far our preferred option (we live in Hawaii but Nai Harn beach is definitely hard to beat).
Our only disappointment was with the breakfast. We felt there should be more non-meat options (they seem to put meat in almost every dish), the powder-based coffee machine does not produce good coffee, the cross wind kept blowing out the heating elements (so the food was hardly ever hot), and the food waste (more the fault of the guests abusing the buffet format rather than the hotel) was hard to justify. I talked the management about these issues, so, hopefully, by the time of our next visit, things will have improved. We will definitely stay at this property again. The room, staff, and access to a wonderful beach make it well worth recommending almost whole-heatedly.

Amazing property! World class multi-tiered infinity pool with a water slide, too notch staff that was incredibly polite and accommodating, and the included morning breakfast had a great variety of delicious food.

The beach was also walkable, but the included shuttle was very convenient when it gets really hot out. It’s not right next to the beach, but about a five to ten minute stroll.

The rooms and the included views are incredible, and the staff once again deserves extra praise for being so great.

We have now been all over Phuket and some nearby islands for about 10 days.
No question, no contest, Sunsuri Phuket and Nai Harn Beach have been our highlight here for sure. Not much going on. Those who love Patong and nightlife would not be happy here. Too quiet. After almost 9 months of travel, it’s just what we needed. Mellow, warm, clear beach—no waves. We had to navigate 71 stairs to go up and down from our room. 😐 But...watching the sunset from our balcony every night made it more than worth it. Free shuttles all day to and from beach. (It’s only about 3 blocks away.😊) Great staff, esp. at reception. Food at Sails not so great. Sorry guys.

What I like about this hotel is the location: it’s located next to Nai Harn Beach, a relatively quiet outskirts of Phuket. Nai Harn itself is a beautiful beach with an amazing view. If you want to stay away from the messy Patong, this is what you need.
I wish the amenities could be replenished as frequent as possible, as I requested to have toothpaste for a couple of times throughout the stay.

Off the beaten path. Lovely resort.

The resort was excellent, people were fantastic, and the service was always done promptly and with a smile. The resort is in the southernmost tip of the island in a more family and wellness oriented area. The Nai Harn beach was amongst one of the best beaches in the island, and during the afternoon tide, gave nice and fun moments with tall waves, but never feeling unsafe or particularly strong. The pool in the resort was good, safe and clean as well. The area is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the island as Patong Beach and Phuket Town are more than 45 minutes away at peak times. Breakfast had variety and the food was good and tasty. Tropical fruits in the fruit bar were nice. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and in particular I remember Aya helping me promptly, kindly, and always with a smile - excellent service! Some of the staff in the hotel spoke very little English, in particular the cleaning staff, but that's expected. I had a one day full tour arranged by the hotel tour guide and it was an excellent day out as well. I had a great time in Phuket and I would return to Sunsuri on another trip.

The property is well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it isn't right on the beach it is an easy 5 minutes walk along a very quiet road and they have shuttle buses every hour. The hotel is built on a hill with many steps leading to the accommodation blocks, so people that are less mobile should check this out first. They have buggies that will take you to the blocks and when inside, the lifts cover all floors. The swimming pools are excellent with many beds available.

Great ressort hotel fulfilling my expectations of their Claim \"private pleasant Phuket\". The appaerence and the look and feel of property and the homepage of the hotel is promising a quiet relaxed hideaway for nice vacation days with no hustle and and no rush.

All this you can find here with including nice rooms, great balconies with views and a relaxed pool atmosohere. There is only one thing which was for me very hard to understand and accept. For any reason there is a entertainment programm starting at 11a.m where many people sitting at their after breakfast coffee. Some guy at the pool started techno/disco music with an unacceptable level of noise wants to attract people to play waterball or waterdance. In the the end 5-8 people join this Patong style tourism entertainment thing - where all the other quitness prefering guest just wondering und can´t understand whats going on there. Realy annoying and irritating action from 11-1am. I talked to several other guests, they have been dissapointed and this does not fit to the positioning of the hotel concept and their promise at all. I can highly recommend to stop this, bringing down the whole ressort experience.

Also coffee from concentrate during breakfast is unaccepable, a lot of europeans like me complaint about that. In a land where coffee is even growing getting instant coffee in a 4,5 Star just does not fit. Would be great if this could be changed.

Everything else great. Place has a lot of unlocked potential.

I stayed 2 nights. Great quite location in Nai Harn however the air conditioner in the room was very loud. Lots of stairs. Sadly some Russian tourists ruined the stay for many guest with their loud party one night from 2-30am til 4,00am in the balcony
Drinks were just average and the breakfast buffet average. Lovely for walks around the lake and cycling. Less hectic than kata Goood Gym. Shuttle or short walk to beach
Service of staff especially Nina was exceptional.

Serious cockroach problem!

Hotel has serious cockroach problems, every time we stay there; we see cockroaches in the room, and ones it was on my boyfriend’s pillow. TVs are way to small for a five star hotel, little LCD screens from Internet cafe. Breakfast is full of sugar everywhere, only healthy stuff to eat there is eggs and salads with no dressing; cause dressing is only mayo or ranch, when I asked for balsamic vinegar they brought me Chinese brown vinegar instead. Eat breakfast somewhere else if you are healthy person. The only good thing about this hotel is location, view, comfy bed and value for money. If you afraid of cockroaches don't stay there, last time I killed 5 of them in my room.

Situated south of Phuket, Sunsuri Phuket is perfect for you if you want a quiet escape. Walk to the beach takes 5 minutes and isn't as busy as other spots, relax by the pool or book a massage at the hotel spa. Really couldn't fault the experience at all, I will definitely be back.

Nice hotel in remote area

So far Sunsuri is a nice hotel to stay, remoted area with great view.
The staff were so nice to us with lots smile and help, there was a day my bf was sick and they provide congee immediately which warm my heart.
But there is one bad thing that the location is too remote that going everywhere cost you quite a lot money. If the hotel can provide some shuttle bus with lower price then will be way much better.

This place is beautiful, private and in a beautiful location.
From the minute you arrive you will feel very looked after by your stuff polite a tentative and there for each of your needs.
We needed to get a buggy to our room each time as we were high on a cliff with a beautiful for you and the buggies service with staff is impeccable. They are always there within minutes if you call for one. The pools are high class and very inpressive. You wont be disappointed with staff. Everyone goes above and beyond. Even the security at the entrance are so friendly... we loved this place and highly recommend. Its in a quieter location which is great, but easy to get to hustle and bustle if you want to shop.
Sunset suri its minutes walk to a beautiful swimable beach. Which our kids loved.

Awesome stay at Sunsuri

We had awesome stay at Sunsuri. The room is big and the king bed is so comfy. The pool is so huge and I enjoyed swimming.The balcony is big and we can really relax at night. Variety of food for breakfast.
The negative points were that some guests smoked beside the pool near the pool bar despite the no-smoking sign and the hotel staff didn't stop them. Insects were a bit noisy at night and we could hear it when sleeping. Overall, it was good and pleasant experience.
The hotel is about 10 min walking to Naiharn beach. The restaurants nearby the hotel are yummy with reasonable price.

Great hotel, but I wouldn't stay again

The hotel is great and very plush. We were upgraded free of charge so we had our own private pool to! Basically, the hotel and staff are great but our experience of the clientele the hotel attracts lets it down, so NOT the hotels' fault at all!

We stayed for 4 nights and we could not believe how unfriendly and cold the guests were. The area obviously attracts a certain demographic and I would not revisit the hotel or area, which is very sad!

Hotel staff were great and helpful. We did have to call everyday to ensure our room was 'made up', but that was the only real 'con' in terms of the hotel.

Great weekend getaway

The hotel was great. The location is at the southern tip of Phuket so it's about an hour from the airport. It's walking distance to Nai Harn beach. There are not a ton of choices for food outside of the resort.

The resort was great. We were upgraded to a suite and it was lovely. We had 2 rooms and 1 large queen bed and 2 twin beds. There was a fridge, table and balcony. To get around the resort there are a lot of stairs but they have golf buggy available and are quick to get you.

The pool is amazing. There is a water slide and a high jump. The pool water was very hot, like it was heated, which is unnecessary.

My son cut his leg. Nico, who used to be a nurse, was wonderful with him (And us) and very helpful.

The breakfast buffet is nice. Room service was fast. The food was good value for money.

We would stay again.

A tropical paradise!

It is an amazing hotel, the area is very quiet, with not many things to do around but Nai Harm beach is fantastic. If you're looking for pure relax go there! The hotel is surrounded by green, so you might ended up with mosquitos and ants in your room but Hey it's a tropical paradise :)

If breakfast is part of your trip experience you are in for a disappointment. You will have the same 3 star and below spread everyday. Utter disappointment. Also, every walk to the rooms are about 3 to 5 storey climbs...

Great, quieter location

Superior luxury hotel just a short stroll from the picturesque Nai Harn beach. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful clean rooms. Best hotel bed I have experienced. Can't fault the facilities, staff or location. Will definitely return to Sunsuri.

Nice hotel close to the beach and friendly staff

Overall very good experience, except for the food served and the extra uncomfy bed. We enjoyed the pool villa overlooking the lake a lot and would certainly come back again.

2 Star Resort.

Pool staff extremely rude and lie to guests. I had to restrain from punching him in face. I was told that POOL WAS CLOSED 45mins early so staff member could leave early and my wife and child had to use my wet towel as staff member refused to walk 1minute to get towels until other staff member ordered him to. $18,000bt per night room rate. DISCUSTING.

Pay for King size bed.... is actually 2 single beds pushed together.

Bath tub defective. Unstable and doesn't drain water at all.

Taps in bathroom not work.

Have to wait 15 minutes to leave room for shuttle cab. Also wait on every time to return to room.

In house menu is on television that does not work.

Controls and instruments within room held together with sticky tape.

Most shuttle cab drivers rude to westerners.

Extremely expensive.

The list goes on, I have photos and videos of all complaints but this site won't allow me to upload.

Nice hotel; far from airport

This was a wonderful stay, the staff were fantastic and service was impeccable. I wouldn't say it offers the cultural experience but for a an evening of swimming and relaxing it was perfect! The cost from the airport to the hotel was 1000THB.

Wonderful stay

Just returned from staying at this great luxury hotel for 10 nights with a family of four (including two children).
I concur with many that have already reviewed the hotel. It is a great hotel with fabulous swimming pools, very clean rooms, polite staff and attentive management. The location is convenient and only a short walk to Nai Harn beach. The breakfasts included in the room rate were delicious and satisfying. We never walked away disappointed.
The hotel is built on the side of hill providing great views from the rooms. You will need to walk and climb stairs, so a moderate level fitness is necessary otherwise you will be dependent on waiting for a ride from hotel staff.
The hotel was also kind enough to allow a late check out on our last day.
The only negative comment I could make is the cost of the buffet dinners which in my opinion ends up being quite expensive when paying for a family of four. There are cheaper options outside the hotel, though a short walk to the beach or 10 minute taxi ride to Rawai will be necessary. Otherwise an A plus rating is thoroughly deserved.
Thank you Sunsuri hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The Beautiful Sunsuri

Staff were amazing. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful. Walking distance to the beach. Most other things were a taxi ride away, but a bit far. This area was quiet with less crowds and traffic.

Convenient location near the beach

Everything other than the staff is perfect in this hotel, which is such a shame. I loved the architecture, the pool, the restaurant layouts. But the staff are undertrained and do not understand English well. I had to call housekeeping three times during the day to get them to come and clean my room. The staff members also had conflicting protocol when asked about transport to the beach...in the end I relied on my own two feet to head to the beach myself, disregarding any planning I had in mind via the staff. Food arrived an hour late in the restaurant, after more than 3 times of inquiring.
