Super nice facility and staff. It is a family owned and well maintained facility. The owner, the girl managing the front desk, told us everything we need to know, where to eat, where to shop, what activities are good, where to park, and more. She booked a volcano tour for us, we loved it. She arranged an airport-to-port transfer for us, basically, if you ask, she knows it and will help you. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. I will recommend this accommodation to everyone in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay at the Margarenia Hotel. It’s small and clean, with lovely bright rooms and a great pool area. We were really well looked after by Margarita and Angela, who were friendly, knowledgeable and always keen to help. It’s located in a quiet area, which suited us fine and a short walk from the beach. I would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel in a great location in a quieter part of the island. The maisonette room was perfect for our family of 4. It was meticulously clean and had everything we needed.

The whole staff were so kind, friendly and welcoming.
We will come back - and will miss the hotel cats!

Do not stay at this property!!! OWNER is no where to be found did not return my calls bugs everywhere!! Did not sleep up till 4 am had a early flight!! It’s a shame ruined our trip in Greece. All over floor, found dead bugs in bed, in sheets, and by the door. Big piles around floor. It is not what it looks like. Girl who checked us in was nice. Other than that STAY AWAY. Got not even 50$ back. A shame. Save ur money and it’s isolated.

Margarita and her team are extremely friendly and helpful.
The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, air conditioning was very much appreciated.
The Margarenia is situated close to supermarkets local amenities and a 10 minute walk to the beach, other restaurants and bars.
I would thoroughly recommend.

Margerenia was a lovely hotel, the flowers were in full colour. The pool was clean. The rooms despite being minimalistic due to Covid 19 were pretty and cleaning standard was excellent. From contact before, the care throughout the stay right until home time we couldn’t of asked for better. We were signposted to some amazing sights so was really able to make the most of our time on the island. Margerita who manages the day to day running of the hotel was a diamond, even keeping an eye on me when I was taken unwell. Sending friends and relatives there and we will be returning.

Our stay was really lovely, the hotel is really clean and welcoming, the staff are amazingly kind and helpful, you are close to shops and beach, the bus stop is also only a few minutes walk from the hotel, so is the car rental place with very reasonable prices, the pool area is one of the cleanest I have ever seen, the hotel will help you if you need, we had an amazing time staying there and were really sad the day we had to leave, I recommend staying here very highly

Loved the new modern style of the apartment which set this apart from others in the area around a similar price. Very clean upon arrival and a cleaner came daily too. Margarita was an excellent welcoming host and gave us some great advice during the trip on restaurants and travel. My only minor complaint was the pressure in the shower, however plumbing/water is difficult in Santorini so I can’t hold that against the apartment. Highly recommend!

A lovely place to stay on Santorini.

Margarenia is a wonderful hostess and will do everything possible to make your stay perfect. Our studio was really lclean, spacious and very comfortable. We were in room 8 on the first floor with a balcony to both the front and back of the building. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed daily and we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect for us. Thank you Margarenia for a wonderful stay.

We stayed here recently for a family wedding.
The proprietor was a lovely lady who was extremely helpful and informative. The accommodation was really nice and they cleaned the room and changed the sheets every day and provided pool towels if necessary.
Our room was No.15, a traditional curved ceiling room with beautiful views of the mountains and out to the sea.
I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wanted good accommodation and with great hospitality.

Clean, Spacious, Wonderful Staff, Close to Beach!

We spent a really wonderful 8 days in Santorini and it was made even better by the wonderful ladies at Margarenia Studios.

On arrival, they were so welcoming and helpful. They give you a map of the island and recommend places to eat (which were all excellent - in particular Ta Dictia and The Good Heart). There is a Big Coop mini supermarket and bakery on the same road, which is excellent for buying breakfast supplies which you can store in the fridge in the room. The kitchen utensils are great - a hob, frying pan etc...

The beach is a 5-10 minute walk from the studios (I would say the best beach on the island) and you are able to get free sunbeds at Filippos if you stay at Margarenia Studios, which we made good use of! The staff at Filippos are also extremely kind and welcoming.

The rooms are cleaned daily and it's spotless! Great bathroom, very spacious and comfortable. The air con is great, but not always needed and there are NO mosquitos around.

The swimming pool is excellent - huge pool, great view and perfect for relaxing after a day of walking.

The studios are located right next to a local bus stop which is IDEAL. I would recommend you hire a car for your stay, but if not, having the bus stop on the doorstep is a luxury. Margarita or Flora will print off the bus timetable for you so you don't wait hours for a bus!

They are very kind and warm - definitely makes us want to return again soon!
Highly recommend.

Comfortable, pleasant stay at Margarenia

We were 100% satisfied with this hotel. The rooms were well equipped with kitchenette and amenities. The place was cleaned every day and was spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were 10 minutes from the black sand beach where there were many great restaurants offering their beachfront for lounging (the expectation is that you will order a drink or food once you are happily settled into your lounge chair). The rooms were mostly quiet. The pool area was fabulous if you need some downtime from touring the island. There's a lovely bar where you can order beer in frosted glasses, cappuccinos and many other beverages. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely return to this place when we visit Santorini again.

Great place, spotlessly clean, beach about 15 minutes stroll, not sure I would recommend it with young children as their are no pavements. The majority of the good restaurants are at the beach too (there are some a few minutes from the main food shop/bakery but they are very much fast food type greek. Great hotel though, the owner Margarita (petite) is delightful and apologises for her english which is excellent, the other Margarita (who you get information from ) is very good too. Clean swimming pool, varies as to how busy it is at the pool. Because it is so windy in July and August you need to request your brolly be put up as their is a knack to it.

All in all a lovely place, the only thing that would make it absolutely perfect was if it was on the beach by all the restaurants as it is a good 15 minutes to a decent restaurant.

All the restaurants offer service on the beach with free beds and umbrellas, we did particularly like Fillipos as the food was excellent

Lovely studios suitable for families and couples.

Our studio appartment was lovely and cleaned every day along with fresh linen and towels. The pool is lovely with a child pool as well. There is a poolside bar manned when required. The only negative would be no snacks or food facilities on site and although you have two rings there is no toaster which would be an asset. Overall a fabulous place to stay.

Margarita was an amazing host (as was the other Margarita who greeted us on the first day). Margarita directed us on how to make the best of our short 2 days in Santorini and helped us rent a car (and get it delivered to the hotel) within hours. She shared stories and helped us figure out what was the best way to enjoy the island, while avoiding expensive tourist traps. The rooms were immaculate and extremely large -- there were three balconies! We had a great ocean view from our windows and the terrace. You are a stone's throw from Perissa's black sands beaches, a quick jaunt to two super markets and a 24 hour bakery (yes, 24 hours!) but also on the road to all the best of Santorini. At the same time, you aren't trapped in in the midst of the commericialization directly on the water. It's hard to believe how affordable and beautiful the place was, and how much it made our trip perfect. Thank you so much Margarita (both!) and everyone at Margarenia Studios!

A most enjoyable stay

Our room was spotless with crisp white bed linen and white towels which were changed every day. The staff were friendly and welcoming and most helpful if we needed anything. The hotel overall was very clean with a nice pool and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of my friends. The location is within walking distance to supermarkets, bakeries and a 15 walk to the restaurants.Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Location not good and no food or bar at the hotel

We were given a double room with a double bed only, but we had booked a room with one double and one single bed, so had to temporarily stay in another room for one night and then had to move to a 3 single bedded room. The beds were rock hard. It said the hotel was a few minutes walk to the beach, which was actually 20 minutes walk to the nearest beach and 30 minutes walk to Parissa town and beach. The poolside bar was never open and no food available so had to always walk to the beach or town. The roads around the hotel were very dusty and dirty as there were always big industrial lorries going past so not at all pleasant to walk anywhere and horrible to have such a long walk at night.

Lovely stay at Margarenia Studios

Margarenia studios is a lovely place for a group of friends. The room was very fresh looking and comfortable. We had internal mini kitchenette, refrigerator and safety locker facility. The en-suite bathroom was clean and toiletries were provided. The room temperature was pleasant. We arrived early May, so it was not very hot. The studios have a nice swimming pool.

Our host Margarita was a very friendly and helpful person. Located in Perivolos-Perissa, the location was travel-friendly. It only takes 20-30 mins to get to the main city Fira by bus and many car hires are available nearby.

Will definitely stay here if I travel to Santorini again.

We loved it! Margarenia studios were beautiful! Santorini was so picturesque and really was just like what you see on the movies. We hired a smart car as soon as we got off the ferry. And we had a basic map, so thought we'd just make our way to Perissa beach and hopefully find Margarenia on the way. We ended up eating at one of the beach front restaurants called 'The Magic bus' food was fantastic. The waiter even better. He was so charismatic and we had some hilarious conversations with him. We asked him for directions to Margarenia studios and he did one better for us. He rang Margarenia and they then sent a car down to meet us at the beach and we followed them back to margarenia studios in ours. The rooms were lovely and spacious, very clean and open our to balconys on two sides. It had all the facilities we needed although we didnt use the kitchen. eating out in Greece is pretty affordable. The pool are is also very nice at Margarenia and is lit up blue and green at night time!

it is bit far from the main tourists locations, but it is quiet and easy to find. There is a Carrefour nearby. You can cook in the room. I love this small kitchen. Margerhita is very nice and helpful to tell us what to do. The restaurant she recommended is very good, and not too expensive.

Such friendly and helpful staff

We have been visiting Greece most years for the last thirty years, but first time to Santorini, and this is by far the best accommodation that we have experienced anywhere. The accommodation itself was simple: large room with king-sized bed, table & chairs and plenty of drawer and hanging space. The key thing that set this accommodation well ahead of any of the others is that there was fresh bed linen and and fresh towels every day. The cleanliness was spot on. Air-con is included in the price, as is wi-fi and use of the in-room security safe.

Margarenia is located in a quiet spot but conveniently close to the main road into Parissa. The \"crossroads\" is about 150 m away and is where you'll find a mini-market. In spite of claims to the contrary, it was no more expensive overall than using the two larger supermarkets (Big Coop & Carrefour) that are each about ten minutes walk away, im opposite directions. There is an ATM and a post box at Big Coop and a 24-hour bakery immediately adjacent. Buses to Fira stop at the crossroads if they are not already full when they get there: you might have to wait for the next one.The beach & most tavernas are about 15 min stroll away. Take a torch for the walk back in the evening.

The most important aspect of Margarenia is how helpful and enthusiatic the staff are. Margarita especially is an absolute mine of information.

Of all the places that I have stayed in Greece, this is the one that I'd recommend to friends without reservation.

Fabulous studios with stunning mountain backdrop.

Have just returned from spending a week at the Margarenina Studios, with my husband & 2 teenagers. The studios are very picturesque, surrounded by flowers; & are spacious & comfortable inside. The manager, Margarita, was incredibly helpful; from suggesting local restaurants to try, to arranging our boat trip & car hire, & finally personally driving us to the airport when we were leaving.
The pool area has a lovely clean pool, stylish loungers/seats/hammock, & a stunning mountain backdrop.

One very minor point is that it takes 20mins+ on d bus to Fira. But it is v close to perrisa beach, hence ok for us. Will come back again.

Cleanliness, Brilliant place to stay

Margarenia of Margarenia Studios is a one in a million, she made everything perfect and more. Hilton's, holiday inns, Taj and all the others - if you had staff like Margarenia, your places would be loads better! As for the place itself, very clean, comfortable and most importantly quiet, it has a good pool and excellent facilities, only down side is the photos that they use does not give it justice. this place is excellent.

Our stay in the hotel started with meeting Margarita on the ariport. For the first night we were thinking hotel is far away from everywhere. We were suprise to find out that that was not true. Hotel is 10 min walk to beach. Beach is black volcanic. In the hotel we had everything you need to create your meal if you like to of course. They are many restaurants not to far away from hotel.
Beside hotel is bus stop and easy access to different other places on island.

The true measure of a person is not how they act when all is well but how they respond when there is a crisis. Without any power on the island Margarenia, Margareta, and George made our stay one of the best vacations we have ever had. From the friendly conversations to the late night beers as friends. Hotel collected us from airport which was great- had a lovely chat with Margerita on way to hotel telling us about the local area, felt very welcoming.Room was lovely with a big balcony looking across the sea,i am assuming this was one of the better rooms as it was a cave style.Room very clean with a big bed - room a good size but due to the cave style meant that if you were very tall you need to be careful but we thought it was lovely., bathroom usual greek style and clean, not overly spacious but fine for us. Room was self catering with a kettle, plates/bowls etc and a bonus of washing up liq and tea towel. ROoms cleaned every day! Airconditioning and safety deposit box in room - all free which is great ! Hotel had a lovely pool, empty most days only one day were all the beds taken and then there were more without umbrellas you could use. THere is a pool bar, but its not manned and you have to find margerita at reception, which didnt bother us too much. There is not food on site available, but there is a supermarket close by and a balery around 5 min walk, but its 24hrs so you can pick up your bread/vcakes on way home! The apartments are a little further out from the town and it takes around 15 minutes to get the the bars etc, beach is around 15-20 min walk away,Bus stop right by the hotel made it good to go and visit FIra and Oia by bus. Had a really lovely time at the margerenia studios and wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone else

The Best in Perissa

The only negative thing I could muster up about this hotel is that it is a whole 5-10 min walk from the beach. This hotel offers very nice rooms, the pool is great and the staff are extremely helpful and accomodating. We needed to stay about 5 hours past our check out time to make a ferry and they allowed us to stay for free and even arranged for our transfer. Across the street you can rent a car, quad or moped. Also in close vicinity is a market and internet cafe. For what I have seen in the Perissa Beach area, I would have to say that this is one of the better hotels to stay at for its cost and comfortability alone.

Lovely find

We were delighted with our stay. We were on our honeymoon and had been staying at a 5 star hotel prior to this 3 star - and we were not disappointed (as we expected to feel).

The rooms were big and we had 3 balconies - wow - obviously not as plush as a 5 star but had a great pool and a great price - we might have stayed here the whole time rather than our 5 star - price aside......

It's a walk to the restaurants and beach but you're away from all the busy seafront so I think that's better - pretty much everyone uses quads on the island so what's a 5 minute quad ride to the beach??? Or a 15 minute walk....

Definitely recommend - lovely pool - margaret the manager is lovely - and knows a lot of good places to go. I'd avoid the hire place that's nearby on the main road - we had a really poor quad from them that was hot on the legs, backfired and was slow to the point of dying. There's plenty of options down the road - recommend you try the quad out before commiting to hire.

Santorini was wonderful - only gripe being the millionaire taxi drivers who charge the earth for a 5 or 10 minute drive. I'm in the wrong job!!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und toll angelegt. Der Pool hat eine gute Große, was sehr sauber und Liegen gab es ausreichend.
Das Zimmer mit Schlafzimmer war der Hammer - sehr groß, 3 Balkone, kleine Küche mit ausreichend Geschirr.

Das Hotel liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, zum Strand kommt man eher mit Auto in 5 min als zu Fuß, da es leider auch keine echten Fußwege gibt. Die Umgegend ist trostlos, nur Sand, noch nicht fertig gestellte Hotels. Minimarkt war aber gleich um die Ecke und Parkplätze gab es ausreichend am Hotel.

Insgesamt trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen!
