The hotel is literally beside (next door) the Batam Centre ferry terminal, so it was very convenient for us. And Mega Mall is just opposite the hotel. It is also very easy and convenient to go places with GrabCar. We enjoyed our stay at Harris Hotel Batam Centre (first time in a hotel with bolsters which help with good sleep 😅) and the good service and hospitality of its staff. We will not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel's Horror Error - Made us out as Exploiters
Paid extra for a double bedded sea view room. Arrived early, was checked in along with passports but our sea view room wasn’t ready. No problem. They stored our luggage, gave us the tag and we started our day out.
Arrived back at hotel late at night expecting a good rest. Was informed by new set of receptionists that we weren’t checked in. Made to fish passports out of deep crevice of bagpack (sent there thinking it was no longer required until date of departure out of Batam). Then was told our reservation was for a standard twin bedder, city view. Even after we argued and showed email proof of our booking and asked to speak to a ‘higher up’ – manager not available but supervisor, was told sternly queen bed “for this time but no sea view”.
Too tired to stand our ground, we took the “offer”, highly offended by the treatment. Were just getting comfortable when 1st call came through. Ignored. 2nd call came through a few minutes later. They’d realised their error and rather insisted to ‘help us pack’ our bags to relocate. Declined as we’d unpacked and were getting ready to retire for the night. Repeated that we should relocate. We gave up. Hung up. At about 1030pm-ish our door bell rang – 3 times!!!
The saving grace was their manager, Zelvi who showed ultimate patience and poise when we complained the next morning. They’ve since written to us to inform that they will provide an upgrade and breakfast during our next stay. Should we though? Sigh!!

Didn't like having to walk through the dining room to access the gym and pool! Some decking boards around the pool felt unsafe when stepped on. Don't let first impressions put you off. The styling of the hotel is not to my taste but the amazing service, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and incredible breakfast won me over very rapidly. Would definitely return.

Well the air-condition blower noise was disturbing sleep at night.

For 3 nights, the aircon switched itself off in the night. The gaps at the window curtains let in the sunlight making it impossible to continue sleeping. The cleaners supplies was opposite my room and I could hear them pushing and loading their carts.
All in, I had 3 nights of not restful sleep.
I have stayed at this hotel everytime I come to Batam but maybe it's time for a change.

We are happy and satisfied with the amazing staff and the cleanliness of the hotel regardless inside the room or corridors. You cant see any dirty plates lying around the corridors. Wonderful breakfast. The most variety breakfast so far in Batam. Our only dissapointment was the our Shower head handle in room 915 was faulty and unable to stand in a correct position. Hope the maintenance dept can solve this issue before our next visit. Thank you

Adequate facilities within hotels (spa, fitness, swimming pool, bar n restaurant) n the dance routine during breakfast is very much appreciated. Convenient location, short ride to the popular shopping areas/malls.

All staff including front desk, cafe staff and housekeeper are friendly, polite and efficient. Food at the hotel is nice. Many varieties for the breakfast. Convenient locations and easy assessible via grab service with reasonable cost. Three minutes walk to Bartam ferry terminal so no hassle to catch the ferry. The only downside is the hotel only come with dim lights. If you have child who likes little reading in the evening is not encouraged. Otherwise, everything is good 👍😊

Good location. Booked for a night stay. Check in process was smooth. Went to the room and realize issues with the air conditioning. Call for help and it come after an hour long. The technician doesn't seems to know how to solve the problem. He ended up taking the cover off and i was totally shocked. The amount of dust on the filter was about an inch thick. My goodness. I wonder when was the last time they clean it. After awhile, nothing is solve and we request to change our room but they have to check and get back to us @ 4pm due to availability. Waited till 4pm but no one get back to us. I decided to not pursue the problem as it was just for a night. Overall it wasn't a pleasant stay. Bad response time. Sorry but i wont come again...

Very old property with loud rumbling aircon noise, stuffy mouldy room smell, curtains that does not keep light out fully, and a bathroom light that shines so brightly into the main room whenever it’s switched on. makes zero sense to disturb another person’s sleep when you have to use the bathroom at night. lights used in room were also orange tone. pool was also not as shown in pictures . overall a really disappointing stay. would not recommend

It was a good experience staying at Harris hotel. The staff of the hotel were very good and co-operative. Receptionist staff and others did their job perfectly. The housekeeping staff Mr Prikles also was very friendly and make us feel like home.

The room lacks sound proofing, a lot of noise came from neighbouring rooms throughout the 2 nights there. The good thing is its only 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal
