While the location is good (just a 5 min walk to Nagoya Hill mall), the hotel needs a good refurbishing. The interior has shown much age, the doors cannot close properly. Most crucially, the water is not clean (frequent yellow/brown water is seen from taps) and needs to let it run and flush away before being safe to use.

The security at the hotel is very good, there is always someone in the guard house at the main gate and the side gate.
The street outside the hotel have very nice cafe and local food.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.

Stayed in a suite room. Staff were courteous and location is walking distance to Nagoya shopping mall.

Shortfall was lack of hand soap at the basin. None at the kitchen and the other toilet. Also TV remote control had difficulty in pressing, and no YouTube. Time to upgrade.

Will be staying again from 31 Dec - 4 Jan. Hope to see improvement.

Overall still better value vs homestay for the price paid.

Hotel runs down a lot! The gym, the swimming pool and the room (suite). Please renovate them. Staff are awesome and location isn’t bad but the condition of the hotel is terrible. We wanted to move to the other place if and only if we could get our refund.

comfortable bed and a good location

Pleasant and helpful staff. Nagoya shopping center is 10 minutes away on foot, and Batam Mega Mall and the wet market are both 15-20 minutes away.
It would have been nicer if the toilet had been renovated a little. The bed is comfortable and I had a restful sleep in the lovely bed.

I don't understand the many positive reviews here... I wasn't expecting much from the hotel, but I was still disappointed by the place. It is pretty rundown and desperately needs a facelift. Everything screamed \"old\", the DVD collection in the lobby could be an interesting quirky touch but in context they just dated the place. Everywhere was dark - the lobby, the restaurant, the room. The room had a slightly damp odour, the coffee facility in the room had probably not been changed for months, the water ran brown indicating it hadn't been run for a long time. None of these things were a disaster but they don't exactly deliver joy! Oh, and the electric went out for about an hour on my first morning.

On the plus side, the staff were reasonable and friendly, and I got a decent omelette for breakfast.

3D2N stay at Harmoni Suites Batam

The hotel lobby was welcoming and was good for hosting our local friends. They also had welcome drinks and snacks provided while we were waiting to checkin. The rooms were spacious and neat. However, the aircon in both rooms were very cold, even after switching it off! The aircon control doesn't seem to work. Extra linen is chargeable on a daily basis.

I had pre-arranged a shuttle pickup from the Ferry Terminal. I gave them the timing of my ferry and left them my number when they said that the driver will contact me. However, the driver did not turn up until I had to give the hotel a call to check, incurring roaming charges.

Also, check-in was stated as 2pm. When we arrived at 210pm, I was informed that because I had a prior request for 2 connecting rooms, the rooms are being cleaned now and will only be available at 3pm. With no other choice, my family went for a walk and returned at 330pm, only to be told that the rooms were STILL not available. We had to wait at Mick's Pub until 4pm before being given 1 room (because the other room was STILL being prepared). We went up, after being assured that once the other room was available, the receptionist will personally come up and give me the card to the other room. Well, at 430pm, after realising that nobody was cleaning the other room at all, my wife went down to ask the reception what was happening and only then did the reception check with housekeeping and found out that the room was already available.

Nice hotel, a little dated, pool looked very clean and showed almost no sign of usage including a lack of a chlorine smell that proved the water is quite clean. The location of the hotel is conveniently placed in a 5-min-walk distance from Nagoya Hill Mall, and about 20-min-walk from where the adult entertainment area is.

The room itself is in good condition, though signs of age are everywhere, like some mould in the grouts of the tiles in the bathroom, black stains above the aircon vent presumably because it was the smoking floor, and a square hole where a power outlet might have been. But most importantly, everything in the room worked fine, except for the phone in the washroom.

Im glad I found the right hotel ~ location is so central to all major malls and relatively safe. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. What took me by surprise was that, they offered me an early check it 2hours way before the actual check in time which I didn't even request for it. I was offered 2 bigger room which came with a cosy small kitchen with full set of cooking untensil.

Exit thru front door : foodie paradise!!
Breakfast buffet is simple and nothing much to complain about.

Somehow my first impression of the hotel was that it felt old. Not the dilapidated kind but just the interior feels outdated. Then I went to check online, it was built in 2002. Fair enough. Room was alright, no view but that is okay. Most importantly is the comfort of the room.

There is a way to walk to Nagoya Hills Shopping Centre via the back gate which got us to that massage haven within 10mins. If you go out of the main gate, turn right, there are lots of eatery which I did not explore because I was too busy being all touristy and searching for the highest rating place only to realise that Harmoni Suites is just beside some good eatery. Although I did not check whether they are rated very high but judging by the crowd eating there, I suppose the food must be good.

It was also surprising that the hotel offers some snacks, cool cucumber drinks and pineapple cordial juice at level 1 to all their guests.

Favorite hotel at Nagoya

Stayed at Harmoni Suites a few times. Always loved it cos the rooms are very spacious. Suitable for both families and couples. It’s within walking distance to the shopping mall and many coffee shops selling seafood and grilled fish, hence very convenient!

Our choice of hotel at Harmony Suite did not disappoint us and was above our expectation. It is very near to Nagoya Hill Mall, about 5 to 8mins walk from the back exit. Quite happening during the weekend night along the road side selling all kinds of food when walking along the roadside to Nagoya Hill Mall.

Have stayed here on many ocassions.

Seem to have change in policy as required to place a room deposit upon checking in when before there wasn't any requirement.

Also, it is quite irritating that despite reminder to reserve a non smoking room, it is like on a first come first serve basis. So conclusion is if you want to get the room you want, need to make sure you check in on time and not too late.

Good location and service from staff, clean rooms. Some stain on towel but no issue for me. Got my doorbell rung at 8.30am (not sure why) and phone call at 3pm to ask if we need room make up. We indicated room privacy=no need anything unless we ask. We were taking a nap but I appreciate the kind gesture though. Breakfast was pretty good as well. Will definitely head back when i'm in the area!

On a previous trip we stayed in a downtown hotel which is very touristy and rather crowded. Using Hotels.com we chance upon Harmoni Suite Hotel. I think the photos helped to form an impression and hence our decision. Of course, photos can lie but only once. Wifi was good and consistent unlike other better class hotels.

A short holiday at BATAM.

Usally a good stay but this trip was spoilt by the condition of the aircon for the whole of Saturday. Endured the whole morning till late afternoon with warm blower. called operator 3 times and no sign of any technician came. only cool air (but not cold) was felt at the late evening until the next day only when aircon cold came back to normal.

Hotel aircon was not working....staff came a few times but couldn't rectify problem...another room the card key couldn't open the door. Staff changed the card a few times still cannot work. They only could change rooms for us the next day after 2pm. Then when they gave us the new rooms, we saw that the rooms were not cleaned and ready for use. The room service staff was still cleaning up....

Very disappointing...staff were not as helpful during breakfast time on the 2nd day... they were most of the time not available when help was needed.
