This is a very lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Very friendly staff, very welcoming and happy to help. The room was perfect - very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good - a help yourself buffet with a good variety of fresh and tasty food. Nice central location - a very short walk into the centre of Ostuni. All in all, it could not have been better. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding! The staff at this hotel are extremely service oriented and friendly. They helped us book a tuk tuk to go pick up our bikes and let us store our bags for the day as we arrived early. When we returned at check in time, our bags had already been taken up to our room. Other compliments - bike storage, easy parking very close to the hotel, an outstanding breakfast, and a wonderful roof top restaurant and bar with a great view of the old city.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Even though it’s not located right in the historic center, it’s just a 10-minute walk away, which makes it very convenient. What truly stood out was the amazing service — the staff went above and beyond. I accidentally left something behind, and they were kind enough to arrange to send it to my next hotel in another city. The staff could not be nicer, The room had an issue when I arrived (smoke from previous occupants)and they sorted the problem immediately with an upgrade.
The value is very good as the location is excellent. It is outside the old town but that surprisingly is lovely as the old town was so busy. The only negative is the food. Breakfast has a huge choice but quality poor. Under ripe fruit, orange juice from concentrate, it would be better to reduce options but serve better quality food. Dining hall uncomfortably hot, No air conditioning except one standing fan in a very large room.

The Monte Sarago hotel is well placed with a lovely view of the town of Ostuni. The room was clean and well presented. Breakfast was tasty and the facilities seemed good. Parking was also provided. The only note to mention is that the swimming pool is actually a huge hike up a very steep and long set of stairs rather than being near the hotel. So be warned if you're with children or have bags.

Unfortunately there was a large medical conference on while we were there, so it did feel awkward going to breakfast or the terrace as we had to walk through it. However the hotel is well soundproofed and we didn't notice them other than when we were around reception/restaurant.

Love this hotel and staff!

Great experience at Hotel Monte Sarago. We would definitely go back next time we visit Ostuni. The hotel is young and modern, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom is fairly large and the AC and Wifi worked well. Our room had a balcony with a view of the old town which made our stay so much more enjoyable. The hotel is on a busy street but walking distance (10 mins) to the center. There is also free parking across the street. The staff speaks English and is always willing to answer questions. Maria and Luanna at the front desk were extremely helpful with restaurant bookings and beach suggestions. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is plentiful and delicious- something for everyone.
If you are a foodie like my husband and I, it's best to make reservations the first day you arrive. The good restaurants have limited seating and get booked very quickly. The staff at the front desk can help and even make reservations for you.

On the whole the stay was good. Breakfast was good as were the reception staff when organising taxis and restaurants. The room was fairly comfortable if not a bit small. However we had a couple of problems which could have been easily resolved but weren’t The air conditioning isn’t always on as it’s controlled by reception. At times the hotel would switch it off or on low and this caused problems with mosquitoes as there were so many. We and fellow guests were covered in bites. It’s not something we usually have problems with elsewhere in the world so it was a shame and uncomfortable.
The other negative was the pool area was dirty and lacking in attention.
Also for a 4 star hotel there is no private room to get changed in if you have a late flight. The only option was to pay €100 for a room for 5 hrs or to change at the pool which was not private, it was fully of mosquitos and the drains smelled awful in the changing area. We spoke to someone called Tatiana on reception about the €100 charge and she was very bad mannered and hostile. Also we asked the manager and although she wasn’t bad mannered she wasn’t helpful just wanted to be able to sell the room to someone else and no interest in the guests comfort.
The location of the hotel is fairly good.
Overall a 3 star rating at 4 star money.

This hotel unfortunately has many unusual unwritten hidden extra costs which leaves you feeling disappointed and frustrated. For example, you have to rent pool towels. Our duvet was not clean and when I asked for a fresh one I was informed there would be a charge incurred for laundering. The hotel orders a taxi for you but takes payment as they are taking a cut. It is shocking that a hotel has to behave so poorly to get extra payment in addition to the room fees quoted on booking the room. I have never encountered this in another hotel before. It is such a shame though, as overall the hotel was clean, the pool was relaxing and the views are great!

A great place to relax and explore

A wonderful hotel in an old factory on the edge of town. Great base for exploring the beautiful white town of Ostuni, the beaches around Villanova and the countryside. Ostuni has a great seaside feel, even though it is perched on a hill 7km from the sea, and is home to some great restaurants. The hotel staff, especially Maria, could not have been more friendly or helpful. A great place.

The hotel was located close to the city of Ostuni and other sights such as the Trulli village and beaches.Private hotel parking was close by . Staff at the reception were very extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The swimming pool was quite a distance ( 150 steps up or a free shuttle) which I did not realise when I booked the hotel but the view over Ostuni was great from there.

The hotel is located on a busy road just 10 minutes walking distance from the beautiful old town of Ostuni. On arrival the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. A secure carpark is available underneath the hotel - €5 per night or there is a free carpark across the road from the hotel. The ensuite room was clean and comfortable. There is a good choice for breakfast served until 10.30 in the morning. The swimming pool is located on a high terrace with a beautiful panoramic view of the town and surrounding area. A shuttle bus service is available if you don't fancy the 150 step climb. We have had a most enjoyable stay in the Monte Sargo and hope to return sometime in the future

Perfect base to explore the surrounding area!

The hotel is about 10 minutes' walk from Ostuni town centre, with free parking and a great sundeck and pool. Be warned, the hotel is built into the hillside, so to get to the pool it's 120 steps up the hill or a shuttle bus is provided. Breakfast was disappointing, as everything was warm (not the things that were supposed to be) and there was no freshly cooked food and little fruit or vegetables. Staff presence around the hotel is sometimes a bit lacking, and as part of the hotel's commitment to the environment, toiletries in the room are available on request. Apart from that, the hotel was clean and accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay. We chose this hotel because we wanted a pool (difficult to find in this area). The room was nice and large, and with free wifi and aircon was just what we needed. A highlight is the view from the pool (and the poolside shower) where you can see the sea and old town of Ostuni.

The hotel is very comfortable and well maintained, the only drawback is that it's on a very busy street and onto which the windows of some of the rooms on the first floor open. We got one of those rooms and asked if we could be moved. The staff were extremely helpful and moved us (after one night as the hotel was fully booked when we arrived) to another, spacious room with a stunning view.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monte Sarago. The hotel staff was very friendly and the accommodations were very nice, 4 star nice. The cost of the hotel is a little too high considering the location and the fact that it is kind of out of place in Ostuni. It is a very modern hotel with very modern finishes in a historical city so it is a lacking a bit of character. It is also outside the city center and about a 10 -15 minute walk to the centro historico so the price is a bit steep considering its location. All and all it was a great stay, but I don't think we would pay the high price to stay there again. It was nice that the breakfast was included and the options for eating were good.

A great hotel

We thought this hotel was fantastic. Bright, modern, clean and extremely helpful staff. It was easy to find and had secure parking at a reasonable cost. Very convenient for seeing the beautiful town of Ostuni. Would stay there again and would definitely recommend it.

Well located hotel for exploring southern Puglia

Despite being the only guests we were well looked after at the hotel

One suggestion would be to supply bathroom slipper as tiled floors very cold!

Excellent Hotel!

This is an excellent hotel! Beautiful rooms and lobby area, amazing pool and view (it is worth the climb...I considered it \"exercise!\"), first rate customer service from ALL staff members, nice breakfast, great location (10 minutes walk to centro storico, two minutes to Frank's Bar and a fruit stand), and more than fair pricing. Parking across the street was very convenient and free! We were very happy. Plus, Ostuni is a great place to visit!

Good hotel for exploring the area

We stayed here to have a base in the area. It was a good location, but not a \"typical\" Italian hotel, so some of the Italian charm was missing. However, it was exceptionally clean and the hotel staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was good and filling.
