Highlight of our Italy trip

Our stay at Hotel Le Fontanelle was the highlight of our two week trip to Italy! The views are breathtaking and we enjoyed strolling around the grounds. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had wonderful meals at the hotel restaurant and the restaurants at the Club House. The shuttle service between the hotel, the club house, and the winery was very convenient. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone- we’ll be dreaming about our stay here for a while!

Incredible views, beautiful hotel

One of the most amazing locations we’ve ever stayed in, the views were so incredible and the wine safari at the vineyard was perfect. The hotel itself was also beautifully done and the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The property is beautiful, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The sunrises from our bedroom window were mind blowing. The indoor pool and hot tub were just ok- could use a little modernization and maybe some chill music. Breakfast was delicious. Be nice if there were a more casual dining option on the property.
Overall a very relaxing experience at le fontanelle!

Stunning views. Great staff. We'll maintained property. Maybe a variety of more casual, informal restaurant options would be welcome. The present food facilities were great. But if you want something a little more laid back, like a pizza/panino place that would be great.

Lovely vistas from the property. Very professional and helpful staff from being greeted on arrival, to a property tour, to overseeing bags at checkout.
The restaurant was superb. Do plan ahead to enjoy the tasting menu and wine pairings.

We plan to return for a longer stay and pre-arrange a hot air balloon ride and truffle hunting! If you are looking for a peaceful pet-friendly hotel this is a wonderful place.

A little slice of heaven.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Le Fontanelle in Tuscany. What a beautiful hotel! Stunning views, lovely outdoor and indoor swimming pool. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts on the terrace each morning. We were greeted personally upon arriving and shown to a beautifully appointed room with patio. It is a destination hotel, you really don't have to leave if you don't want to. A superb place to unwind.

Best hotel experience we’ve ever had!

This was the best experience we’ve ever had traveling! The views are incredible. The service was like noting we’ve ever experienced before. They helped plan our entire Chianti portion of our trip. I could go on and on about how fantastic they were. Will 100% be coming back in the near future!

A wonderful treat

This is a beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings. We loved the peace and quiet, glorious views and the very attentive service. It’s somewhat remote though, requiring a 20-30 minute drive to Siena if you want to dine elsewhere. The hotel provides a daytime shuttle into Siena, as well as bikes to borrow and scooters for hire - that’s if you want to leave! The room was very comfortable although the bed was a bit too firm for me. The half bottle of local wine and biscuits was a welcome surprise. The evening fine dining was very good but a bit pricey.

Beautiful hotel with incredible service. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful - from recommending local towns to visit to showering us less traveled routes to bike on with the hotel provided bikes - they went above and beyond in everything that was asked of them. This was more of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and wonderful experience in the heart of Tuscany.

A hotel that oozes class, charm and warmth ! Superb staff throughout ! The most wonderful views surround it and the food is excellent!

Our favourite Stay in Italy

Love this beautiful property from the moment we arrived. Gorgeous location, set high up in the tuscan hillside only 20 minutes from Siena. The property has olive groves, vineyards and pomegranate tress all around the resort. We instantly felt welcomed and pampered at the same time. The staff go above and beyond, getting you settled in and making sure everything is perfect. Loved our room, the indoor pool was nice for when the weather was a little cool. However the outdoor pool and lounge areas were wonderful. The views were incredible of the surrounding vineyards. I would stay here in a heart beat on my next return to Italy... can't wait

Just amazing.

We stayed at Le Fontanelle for our honeymoon, and it was just perfect -- the hotel is amazingly located with a stunning view of the Chianti valley and it looks like something straight from a dream.

The rooms are extremely pleasant, the food was amazing and the fantastic staff made us feel just at home.

I can absolutely recommend Le Fontanelle for anyone who wants to spend a magical time in Tuscany. We'll sure be back.

Tuscany Luxury Hotel

The hotel is spectacularly beautiful and very, very comfortable. The setting could not be more beautiful and the owners of this hotel have impeccable taste. The food was very good though the continental breakfast was a bit sparse. Nothing remarkable about it. Very limited choices and not refreshed.
The service at the hotel did not meet the high standards of this beautiful facility. I felt like we were always looking for someone to help us. It just wasn't up to the standard you would expect with this lovely 5 star hotel. Indeed, a very special place.
For example- it was literally 97 degrees when we were there. They have a lovely pool with a spectacular setting. Never once was someone out there to offer to get drinks, water, wine, juices.
Rooms were immaculate & very private. The gardens were incredible. A very special place. They just need to improve the service and deliver it with. Smile and some enthusiasm. We would look forward to going back.

Fantastic hotel with exceptional views

If you would like a nice relaxing break in the hills then this is definitely the hotel for you. It is 5 star with 5 star prices! The food was some of the best we had on our trip around tuscany but you do pay a lot! The atmosphere was a little formal for our liking but they do offer a free shuttle in to sienna, however it's only one in and one back per day. Definitely need a hire car for this hotel.
