WE WERE DISSAPPOINTED WITH A COUPLE OF THINGS
WE STAYED HERE FOR 5 NIGHTS
AFTER THE SECOND NIGHT WE COMPLAINED ABOUT 2 THINGS
MAIN PROBLEM WAS THE HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER.
WATER WAS VERY HOT INTHE SINK BUT ONLY LUKEWARM IN THE SHOWER.
WE WERE FREEZING EVERYTIME WE BATHED.
ALSO THEY ASKED ABOUT CLEANING THE ROOM AND WE REQUESTED EVERY OTHER DAY CLEANING BUT IT GOT DONE ONLY ONCE THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE.
JUST LEFT US IN SAME ROOM WITH NO IMPROVEMENT TO THE WATER SITUATION.
HAVE BEEN STAYING WITH BEST WESTERN THE LAST FEW MONTHS BECAUSE OF GOOD STAYS SEVERAL TIMES AT PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC.
DON'T THINK I'LL BE DOING IT ANY MORE.
THE LADY IN THE BREAKFAST AREA WAS OUTSTANDING. KEPT IT SUPPLIED AND VERY CLEAN.

For the location and the price, I would stay here again. Overall the room was clean, but the bathroom was a bit dated, and the wallpaper in bathrooms is never good idea if it is not maintained. The room was mostly quiet. I only heard a door slam once early in the morning after I woke. The breakfast was not great. The pastries were a bit older (stale). The scrambled eggs were the best thing and the coffee. There was limited fruit, just a few bananas and two tangerines and I arrived at 6:45 (breakfast started at 6:30).

First and foremost-the staff was wonderful! Very courteous and helpful. However, the hotel has seen better days! Our room was reasonably clean. There were some stains and wear and tear on the tile work. The wallpaper in the hallways was wavy and peeling up in some places. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. It was very hard and lumpy. The breakfast was ok but minimal. The muffins and pastries seemed stale. The only things that saved this hotel from a 1 or 2 star rating from me was the friendliness of the staff and the decent water pressure in the shower!

First of all the hotel is out dated, the moment you step in it reeks of cigarette smoke and weed through out the halls. The mattresses were so uncomfortable it feels like your sleeping in a rock, the pull out couch was not any better, you could feel the springs poke into your back. Worst of all is the bathroom had mold all over the walls and ceilings and you can tell it’s never properly cleaned because you can literally smell the dirt as you enter the room plus other odors that I could not distinguish but it reeked!

Staff was amazing. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast we’ve had. Our only issue seemed to be with our bathroom. The sink was super hot with no cold water and the shower was cool with not hot water. We alerted the staff about it upon checkout. Other than that the stay was great!

The shower was weird but OK. The TV would only show local news and the cooking show. The wall AC control displayed \"Needs batteries\". The below-window AC unit could barely heat the room up to 72F the first night. And the AC made squeeks during the night. (Maybe as a motor started and stopped?) The coffee maker was positioned under the microwave oven, where it could not be filled with water. The 2nd night was better. The breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable.
The front desk clerks tried to help.

There was a huge water leak where they had to turn off the water, which i understand is not their fault, but they could have called the guest rooms and let them know what was going on. Then when we called regarding there was no water, the front desk lady was not kind or professional at all. We asked if she had an idea of how long it would take to turn it back she responded with “I don’t even know”.
We stayed for 4 nights and even though I requested rooms service to clean the room daily, they never came until I went to the front desk to complain. I called the front desk on our first night and asked for an extra blanket. The rude front desk lady responds with “You gone have to come get it.” When I replied “Oh ok there’s no one to bring it” she responds with “yeah we ain’t got no one so if you want it you gone have to get it yourself”.
There was an Indian lady at the front desk on our last day and she was very sweet and kind and professional.

Room 305 was mostly okay. The chair and ottoman were terribly stained to the point that I didn’t even want to touch it. The rest of the furnishings were good and appeared clean.

I think the shower must have had some work done on the supply lines or something because when I first turned it on the water had black in it but eventually flushed too clear.

We had a comfortable stay and the staff was great.

Overall it was a good stay. The beds were comfortable. The staff was accommodating and friendly. It was quiet and in a nice area. Our only complaint is that the TV didn't work... it kept going out. I guess they were tranaferring to a new service, but the result was we weren't readily able to use the TV. Quite frustrating. We did call down and they did come up and attend to the issue and were able to get it to work... but this was an added inconvenience.

Had to go down to the front desk four times during my three day stay because my key card would not open the door (did not keep my card next to my wallet or phone, it’s just an antiquated system that doesn’t work well) Very annoying. Also, maid service did not come to the room once during my stay. Thought it was just an anomaly the first time so just ignored it. But, then it happened again. Won’t stay here again!

Drawers on dresser broken.

Fridge frozen over! Had to chip out ice myself! Definitely needs to be thawed out and properly cleaned.

Breakfast spread was impressive. Better than most. We were there for 5 days and housekeeping never came in. Hotels will often do every third day, but we got nothing, no new towels or trash removal. I had to empty the trash several times myself. Yes, I could have requested new towels, but should not have to.

The check in/out was a breeze. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice. My only problem was the carpet was gross and i kept my flip flops on at all times walking around the room. The shower control was a little wobbly, but otherwise, all was just fine. The breakfast was really nice too. Hot and fresh. Eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravey plus the waffle and cereal choices. I would stay there again.

First the staff is outstanding—from front desk-breakfast staff—maids. The facility is in terrible need of remodeling and repairs. The air conditioner has a filter that is torn and filthy. My wife was congested the whole time we were there. The show did not drain out- not sloped to drain. Looks like dog chewed up the bathroom wall paper and door. Room 314. Would not stay there again.

The property's location was great, and it was generally clean, but the rooms are in desperate need of major remodeling. It’s clear that maintenance has been poorly executed, with areas falling apart and looking downright shoddy. The bathrooms, in particular, were the worst offenders. As for breakfast, it was decent, but the eggs were a letdown—the way they're prepared completely ruins their texture. Overall, the property has potential, but serious improvements are needed to match it.

We arrived an hour after check in and our room wasn't ready. They found us another room but it was disgusting. The AC had been leaking and the carpet was soaked in about 1/3 of the room. The bathroom smelled of mildew and appeared to have mold around the shower. I asked for a different room or refund, but got neither. Won't be staying here again.

Filthy. Our sheets were dirty, there was sand and debris in the bed. Bathroom was dirty. We had to stay because it was late when we arrived. They did come reclean but the whole building needed a good scrub. The bed so hard we could have slept on the floor and been and as comfortable.

Bathtub ran constantly. Corners of tub were dirty. Shower curtain looked like it was moldy. The couch and bench were so dirty and stained we were afraid to sit on them. Hotel was quiet and that was nice. I did not complain because I was honestly just too tired after spending all day in the hot sun.
