Room was clean. Coffee machine was out of order. But, I assumed they made coffee for the morning guests. The entranceway door to the room, was a little loose, which required a little pulling tight so the electronic door lock would open. Parking lot, room, pool area all equipment functioned properly and clean. Well kept property with friendly staff. I’ll stay here again.

The room wasn't bad. A basic updated room.shower could use to be redone especially the shower. The room smelled kind of musty but it did clear up. The front desk staff was very nice and as accommodating as possible. As a quick 1 or 2 night stay. I would say it is an ok place to stay. I needed special requests met and they happily took care of my pre surgical needs.

This older property suffers from substantial deferred maintenance and a desire to cut costs. Two examples are unscrewed (not missing) lightbulbs above the bathroom sink and a shower that would not turn on. There was absolutely no water. I acknowledge this is a 2 star propoerty, however, the low price does not offset the inconvenience.

Back view of water ,really,really cool...out by the island the tour was visiting Manatees(April)Male server at restaurant was very nice and efficient..The port was no exception, being from the Gulf, the most breathtaking Sunsets ever,happen there the swim w manatee was good til they gave us a chance to swim at 3 sis Spg...thrill of my life ,another world !

The AC ran cold but a little loud as an older model, a little musty smelling. Honestly, it was really clean, the room and the whole property. It was very quiet and very affordable. In the morning, when I saw the number of cars in the parking lot, I was even more impressed because I never heard a soul during the night. All guests and staff were so respectful of other guests.

Its hard to find a cheap hotel that makes you worry when statung there because its either ghetto or dirty but i was very happy with the stay the only thing i could complain about was that the television was kinda small and like most bathrooms they have that garbage design that has one knob. Other than that the staffin the morning and at midnight were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the floor was clean unlike alot of hotels.

The mini fridge looked to be really old but worked. The bathroom light/fan was so loud it could wake the dead. Positives... USB port lamps, new flooring & TV + clean upon arrival. Smelled musty. Worn down, Sheets and blankets worn and stained. Bed springs could be felt. Bathroom door wouldn't shut, sink faucet was barely attached to sink. Lots of dirt on doors, front desk nice. Hot shower, no bed bugs or roaches found in this room. We always check before we bring bags and such into room. Quiet outside. Breakfast is 1 Honey Bun and small juice or coffee.

I don't think I have ever stayed in a dirtier place. We got in super late and we had to leave very early so we didn't really have much of an option but i would never stay there again or recommend it. Stained sheets, hair innthe bed and tub. Shower had not been cleaned in years, paint peeling in tub, water dripping from the shower. Blood on the wall near the toilet. Honestly it was a nightmare. I checked for bed bugs and saw no signs. It was the only reason we crashed. Lady at the front desk was polite at check in.

Bathroom doorknob turned around and around from inside the bathroom without opening the door. Had my husband been alone, he would have been stuck in the bathroom. We had to leave the door standing open the rest of our two night stay.
Black dust on ceiling near the ceiling fan and on the ceiling fan vent in the bathroom. Floor was not clean. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable.

The property is out of town and quiet, Yet 10 minutes or less drive to all the town has to offer. Motel is older with the best price in town. I have stayed here before, but on this visit I was disappointed. The room could use some upgrades. Like a A/C unit that worked properly, a new bed and pillows.

Traveling from Georgia thru Florida 4 hotels in 4 nights. This was the first one we used our own sheets at. Bed super uncomfortable, dips in the middle and we kept rolling into it.
Front desk staff very unwelcoming, they don’t even let you in the office you check in and out from a window. I get it, covid but still uninviting.

The receptionist was very nice. The room was clean and simple. The only two issues was the toilet started to not want to flush towards the end of the night and the signal went out on the TV in the middle of a movie. It came back on the next day before checkout. Other than that everything was fine

You get what you pay for. It was not exceptionally clean but I didn't feel gross being in there. It is certainly dated and kept operating but there was water stains around the sink and the floors were certainly not clean (I never walk barefoot in hotel rooms anyway so not the worst thing). There was hair in the tub still which leads me to believe its not thoroughly cleaned. The white sheets and towels did have stains on them (not all, just some). At the end of the day, if I was doing more than just sleeping here I would pay for something better. But for a 2 day trip where I just needed a place to sleep. Iv certainly seen worse. The above were the negatives, the cleaning lady and check in lady were super nice, friendly, and helpful. If I needed a place to stay on a budget I wouldn't be afraid to stay here again.

For starters the beds are not queens. They are xl twins. The mattress is so old and sinks so far in the middle. Not sure what was going on in the tub but not clean and disqusting. We prepaid online before arriving or would of left. But for whatever reason even though we prepaid he demanded my credit card and made 3 copies of it. If i get some crazy charge i will be there in person pissed off and i can assure you he does not want that. Office smells lime curry and disease. Stay away.

Beware of huge ants

The first room I was given was 125, i found huge ants crawling in the shower and the floor near the bed. I killed some of them but no way I was staying in the room. The front desk person gave me a different room, 130 this time and I checked for ants. No ants but the room needs more cleaning. There's paint flaking off the ceiling, door/walls/baseboards look grimy. It was so late already I didnt want to look for another hotel. Good thing I brought my own blanket and sleeping bag, wasnt sure if the linens would be clean. The dresser drawers still has someones long curly hair strands. Front desk person said the property is sprayed for ants every month but the ants show up after heavy rains. She said no one else has complained about ants. I don't see how anyone wouldve missed these ants, they were huge.

Left at 6:30 am to go on a tour to swim with the manatees to come back at 10 am to shower AN HOUR BEFORE CHECK OUT only to find a maid in our room cleaning it. Their reasoning? We didn’t tell them we were only going for a few hours so they assumed we left. They expect their guest to let them know any time they leave the room. Ha! Not. The owner was the 3rd person we tried to speak to and his reaction was an eye roll and an “oh well!” Never ever again. Not to mention, the beds were awful and the room smelled muggy. I’ve never left a review and we travel between 5-8x a year. That’s how upset I am.

It was the cheapest I could find so I do not expect perfection. The lady at the desk was fantastic. She was very friendly and helpful. The towels were stained but what do you expect with white towels. Change it up. I never understood white sheets and towels. There was rust in the sink or maybe it was a rusty color mold, not sure. I was not going to touch it. The sink had a constant drip. There were a few places in the shower on the wall that need repair. Like I said before, I do not expect perfection. I got exactly what I needed which was a good night sleep!

Well the blonde lady at the desk was rude and seemed like she did not want to be there and was rude to another guest in front of me cause his tv and something else didnt work the ac in my room was horrible i waited a hour and a half and wouldnt cool the room so i asked to be moved and the other lady was rude as we but moved me to another room. ac was good but the shower had used soap and a razor in it ....wont ever go there again

The unit had a very musty smell and the ceiling had cracks in the paint. There was no hot water for my shower and when I made the front desk aware if this, it was suggested that it was me not using the controls properly. This is total hogwash. I also asked to print 3 pages of documents I needed for my next destination and was told to go to Office Max. Again, very in accommodating. Overall a very unpleasant stay.

I wished I had looked at the previous customer reviews and photos because the photos the motel show were misleading. I’m assuming the photos were taken when the motel was first established because they don’t look anything like that. Very outdated, yellow walls and ceilings, stained bed covers, weird smells and bugs in sinks and bath/shower. I booked this place as a surprise for my wife, but we tried to cancel the booking within 2 hours of being there and was told we couldn’t. We ended up leaving at night and thought it would be better to drive 3 hours back home than staying there regardless of how tried we were. I only wish we took photos! My advise would be to always look at the other reviews. Price might be low but there’s a reason for that.

I checked in on 7-16-20 for one night during a business trip. I took off my shoes and by bedtime, my feet were black and gritty from the dirt on the floor. The ceiling was peeling, with pieces of it hanging down over 3 inches. There were also several patches throughout the room ceiling. The TV was also messed up, remote not working, and no way to change channels.

The next morning, when I was getting ready to leave (it was a business trip, so I usually leave around 6am or 7am), there was no hot water. I let it run for 5 minutes, while I packed everything up, and ended up having to take a cold shower. I asked to speak to manager Nick, and he was very rude about everything. I just said this place was belong the standards listed on the hotels.com website, and asked for a credit on the charge. He argued with me, and then slammed the window on me. I called to report this to hotels.com, and they called the business while I was on hold. The staff told her they already did all they are doing, and that they told me there was hot water now. Never stay at this place, unless you want headaches and poor customer service and filthy conditions. I come thru this area several times a year, and I will NEVER stay at this place again!!

This stay started out bad. We arrived at the motel around 3 pm and our room was not ready after a long drive.
When we got into the room, it was very small, the bed was a full size, sheets had stains, pillows were flat.
Toliet did not flush well, a/c was very noisy, no coffee maker and the breakfast consisted of a honey bun, muffin and coffee.
It was very quiet and the pool looked nice.
It was overpriced and not what we expected from the description.

N some man bowned on door n like 5 times i told wait a minute n i just got out of shower. Was rude n siad ac was fine n walked away. He never said who he was.Very rude . Charged me 50$ room deposit n only got 25 back. N toliet was clogged on Sunday morning. I wi never go back to that hotel, ever again. Very dirty motel.

We didn't even stay the night. Walked into the room after check-in with not so friendly front desk staff member. Worrisome that we couldn't see what was happening with ID or credit card due to staff member walking away for long period of time and being outside at window waiting. Room was dirty! There were crumbs from the previous guest on the table (looked like Takis or Doritos). There were holes in the sheet and hair on the bedding. A cockroach crawled out of the fridge when opened. It smelled strange and the floor were not swept. Never seen a worse hotel room. Waiting on a refund. We left minutes after checking in and had to stay elsewhere.

I really can't complain too much, the price was half that of any other hotel in the area. I think because of lower traffic, rooms weren't used recently, so they smelled musty but I'll give that a pass. The AC worked, but it just couldn't get rid of the humidity. Bed, sheets, and pillows, were exactly what you'd expect for the price. The dirty grout and caulk in the showers is also what you'd expect. It wasn't that the place wasn't clean, it's just hard to keep older rooms \"sparkling\" like newer rooms. If you are just coming for one night, and you are taking the 6am manatee tour, it's perfect: you won't sleep that well, and are guaranteed to be awake at 6am. If you are coming to town for more than 1 night, I recommend finding some way to afford a more expensive hotel. In my case, I knew what I was getting into, and specifically wanted dirt cheap because it's just fine for one night, but my expectations were exactly met.

The ptoperty is old and needs remodeling. Sink looks like someone spit coffee grinds in it. Bathtub had yellow areas that looked unclean. Management was rigid in responding to request to canc second night even with 24 hr notice when we had to cut trip short die to sick dog at home. Expedia was worse in their refusal to help. Wont be using them again. Both the hotel and rxpedia havr lost mr as a future customer

I was in room 104 my son wanted to take a bath but the bathroom tub looked absolutely disgusting and something from a scary movie I went to the front office and asked if they could please change my room so that I could feed my son in the bathtub she then told me that the tub is clean she was speaking to housekeeping and housekeeping said it’s because they need to remodel I wish I could put a picture On here to show you and I guarantee you none of you would shower either I wore flipflops to shower so I could feel safe not catching anything and the drain was clogged! so I tried to shower with my feet on the top of the tub not an easy task might I add! I came here on vacation with my son and I’m usually not one to complain but then again the front office clerk should have changed my room for me I am a paying customer just like anyone else I will never come here again

Reasonable rate

stayed 8 nights. uneventful. found a gecko in the bath one morning, but it is the tropics-no harm. Liked the hardwood floors, carpet hides too much \"stuff\"

Great December Weather

Very nice, hotel is just a mile out of town and the price was great. We got 2 rooms and me up with family from out of town and really enjoyed ourselves. Crystal river is a great little town with a beautiful river full of Manatees.
