Always available when we need it and everyone is always polite. We took a dip in the pool. The bar is handy for that late night drink and some great food. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores close by for quick runs. We also drove more into town and had a round at the MANATEE MINI GOLF.

The first room they gave me had disgusting stains on the comforter and the AC didn’t work.

They gave me another room which was also dirty. Sheets were dirty, shower was dirty, floor was dirty. Room smelled. I told the front desk and was told they don’t refund.

Had to hold the toilet handle fur 2 minutes before it flushed.

AC barely cooled the room. Front desk staff said it’s because of the high ceiling. Then get an AC that can cool it.

Stairwell smells.

I cleaned the bathroom myself with bleach and sprayed with Lysol. I went to the store and purchased my own sheets and towels.

I would give negative stars if I could. We only booked it because it was pet friendly and others gave high reviews for how clean it was. They lied.

This hotel is disgusting.

All staff members were helpful, friendly and professional. A very good restaurant onsite. Housekeeping was minimal. They came in emptied trash and took dirty towels. Our new clean towels were left at our door in a clear plastic bag. Pool area was nice. Bed was uncomfortable and bathroom was not upgraded with poor plumbing fixtures and toilet. Hot, cold water plumbing in sink was reversed. Property is old and in process of some updates.

3 nights and overall it was OK to fair considering the issues we had. Staff at front desk helpful. Good location to park and creek restraunt over the bridge within a short walk. Also, publix and 7/11 stores. The room was remodeled we were told. They had construction going but it was not a bother. The issues we had were broken icemaker, sheet cover with stickey stuff on it, coffee maker and pot was nasty dirty, room was fair over all since everything worked just not what you would expect as a remodeled room. We had a noise issue disturbing us but it was handled. The Gator bar and grill was more of a dive with no service and I would say its fine just to grab a drink since in that matter so who knows about the food since we never got greeted or offered menu to order. Did not get a drink or food after walking in and waiting near the bar got nothing.

2ND time staying here and I loved it once again. All the staff were friendly and courteous. My room was clean and ready for me. Everything in the room worked and I had no problems. The pool was clean and inviting. Also....I don't know how they do it, but they have the SOFTEST towels of any hotel I have ever stayed in. I will be staying here again!!

The hotel was great. I have no complaints. The restaurant that is connected to the hotel, that food was delicious but There was one bartender behind the bar who was extremely rude to my girlfriend and i. I will not eat from there again. It’s a shame too because the food was soooo good! Also, the pool does not have a lock on it so there are a lot of locals who were enjoying the pool without staying at the hotel. I’m not sure if they do that because of the restaurant but it made the pool a little crazy and overpacked.

The toilet didn't flush. The TV remote didn't work. The AC didn't cool the room. Furthermore, there was a dog that barked for an hour before we complained.
Overall, I was very disappointed....
Which was the complete opposite of my last booking there.

At first the customer service seemed very good. We got to the room and it had a dirty bathroom floor, garbage on the floor behind the bathroom door, needed a extra blanket for my granddaughter's crib to help her be more comfortable and was told that they did not know where they were but would try to provide a stained blanket when other staff came in. Because it was for a baby they were concerned that it would get stained so they would only provide one already stained. I ended up canceling my stay after a couple hours.

We had a quick overnight stay. Arrived later(due to flight delays) and had to leave early the next morning, so I can't say a lot about the place. Check in was fast and easy, the front desk staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and a nice hot shower. There was a coffee maker, mini fridge, and a microwave in the room but I didn't utilize any of that. Check out was very fast and easy. I would stay here again.

First room was disgusting. The couch was unusable and belongs on the side of the road. Bedside lights didn’t work. Second room was marginally better. The room had an odor. Bath lights and outlets were interconnected and electrically confusing. Will drive 20 miles away to avoid staying here again.

For the price you can’t go wrong. Prime location with many things to do all around. The hotel restaurant was great. I think I angered a few people with my music choice since they turned down the touch tunes machine after my music choices. That disappointed me since I dropped $30 on that machine. I’m a metal head sorry… Pool was clean and room seemed to be updated. I thought all of the staff were friendly and nice. A few people staying there seemed to be in rough shape but that should be expected at an inn. I would have gave it 5 stars for what to expect but they turned my music down. I’d highly recommend it if you’re on a budget and want a decent place to stay.

The peel and eat shrimp had to be the best I’ve ever had. Very very good. Just don’t go in there and play Slayer and The Acacia Strain lol

For the price and a one night stay it's fine. You will hear everyone around you though. The walls are thin and if you're on the ground floor it sounds like elephants above you. The location is good and there's an awesome nature reserve next door. I did find two bugs while checking the room, one roach and a beetle. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and better than most hotels I've stayed in. There are no bath products provided like most hotels, so make sure to bring your own. There is a little bar/restaurant attached with good food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

For the money, it was an OK place to stay, couple things so the bed slid all over the place it’s on a metal frame. Going to sleep at night the bed would slide away from the headboard, and your pillow would fall down behind it..
behind the door was very dirty on the wall. It looked like oil or some kind of dirt that needed to be cleaned off of it..
Bathroom was clean,
Restaurant was OK. Did not eat there, but just had drinks. Staff was really nice everywhere..

I did not use the laundry service but overall everything was good. We had a hiccup with our room but they fixed it right away. They gave us a new room and fixed the problem. The first room we were in did not smell great but the new room they gave us smelled clean and was cleaner then the first room we were given. Over all it was a good deal for the price! Pool was good and clean just cold at this time but it did rain a lot one day we were there. Over night guy was a little rude but the day time guy was great he helped tremendously!

Check in area was tiny, smelled horrible and was dark with mirrored doors.
The 1st (non smoking) room they gave us stunk so bad of smoke we had to move to another. The 2nd room was better for smell but stains on the bedspread and blood on the sheets. The bathroom had black mold in the caulking and hairs on toilet and tub. The vanity light did not work. The property needs to be redone!

This an older property that is well maintained and very clean. I stripped the bed to check for bedbugs and found new mattresses in excellent condition. If you’re looking for an affordable relaxing stay, this is your spot!! Pool is great People are great. Restaurant is great, servers are super friendly and food is excellent. Facility itself is 3 stars because of its age but like I said, very well maintained. 5 star service and cleanliness. I highly recommend you walk across the bridge and take the tram to the wildlife preserve!!

There were three police cars at the property when we checked in working with a guest that had been physically thrown out of the facility she and her dogs were waiting at the curb and she was crying hysterically. The rooms were not very clean both we and our fellow travelers both thought that the rooms could have been in better shape than what they were.

The cleaning service needs to improve. Our room looked clean, but the floor was dirty. After we took a shower and walked to our bed, our feet were black. I asked the desk to mop the room while we were out, but nothing was done. There was hair in the tub and tumbleweeds of hair on the floor.

Otherwise the hotel was fine.

It doesn't look so bad from outside. Then you walk in the lobby and are hit with an overpowering air freshener smell- what are they trying to cover up?
The front desk guy was friendly and nice. Got to the rooms (poolside was nice) and the sheets had hair and dirt all over them, floors were far from clean, bathroom and tub needs a good scrub with some bleach. Some towels were crisp and white, some were incredibly dingy. They were haphazardly hung on the bar- you can just tell the housekeeping staff doesn't care. Air conditioner was nice and cold but very noisy every time it turned on. Pretty sure there was blood on the sitting chair in the room. Noisy neighbors. Sketchy people in parking lot. Pool area was nice but water was chilly. Nice to have checkout at 11.
Overall I would definitely spend a little more and stay elsewhere next time.

The room I had was remodeled - it was very clean with new flooring. The bed was comfortable enough and the air conditioning worked well - kept the room at the right temperature.

The staff was awesome!! They were friendly and worked hard to keep the property clean. I was amazed at how hard they were working.

The Pool was great and the lawn chairs and tables were comfortable. They appeared to be new as well.

I stepped into the bar for a quick look out of curiosity - did not stay as I am just not a bar person. But if I was, it was busy and looked lively and fun!

A great experience and I will definitely return next year for our annual trip to Florida!

I was here for a 10 day stay. All the staff I encountered were very nice and friendly. Like I've always known them.

The room was huge, the bed was comfy, and the shower had great water pressure. Cleanliness was lacking. All the surfaces were wiped clean, but the edges were missed. It was not a deal breaker for me because there is a difference between missing the finer details or being gross. It was not gross. I was visiting Florida for adventures - not a fancy room.

There were stores and restaurants close by if needed.
I can't say this place was quiet. It is dog friendly so there was a lot of dog barking. I love dogs so I was good with that. But you all, there were sirens every single night, several times a night. And you could hear the highway noise. What is funny is I couldn't hear anything through the walls from other rooms. Just through the front outside facing wall.

Would I stay here again? Maybe! There are so many other places that look vintage that caught my eye too.

We had to change rooms three times because the heater/air conditioners weren’t working. The place is old. Some rooms are partially updated. Our third room was partially updated but the bathroom was gross. Shower curtain was moldy. I wiped off the bathroom sink counter and the corners where things were sitting was filthy. Would not recommend this hotel.

Where I got disgusted was the filth in the room.
The bathtub was filthy, the floor needed a good mopping, the room had a disturbing smell, the toilet seat was not the size of the toilet,
The one chair in the room needed to be thrown away as you can see in the photo I would like to attach it had the arms on both sides and the back all peeled off. Bathroom sink had big cracks in it. The light on the desk had big spots and filth on it. The top of the microwave look like it had never been wiped down with any kind of cleaning products.
When walking with my socks on the floor, I should not be getting things stuck to my socks. Hair in more places than I could count. I stay in a lot of hotels weekly and honest to goodness I’m shocked. I’ve never been in a room so dirty. The lady at the front desk was so kind. I hated to complain to her not her fault. I’m sure but honest to goodness someone must not be monitoring your checking the cleaning people because this was really disgusting.
