The bedding in our room was stained, which was very disappointing. We were also charged a tax for our children even though the hotel’s website clearly states that children stay tax-free. When we asked for a refund, the hotel refused, saying the payment had already been made by credit card.
Our room was located in the basement, which explains why we could clearly hear people walking above us. I wasn’t expecting too much since this is a 2-star hotel, but overall the experience was still very disappointing.

Very disappointed place to stay. We arrived at 2:20pm the room was not ready. Once in the room smell bleach we have to open the windows to refresh. The toilet seat was broken, we took a photo and showed in reception to let them know how we found it and they dare to ask if we brake it. Next day for breakfast we get there at 7:30am they didn't have enough food, nothing looks fresh the croissants were hard and over cooked the orange juice was a squash. The following two days was exactly the same. Last day at 8:30 we got the last 2 croissants and we saw how the following couple that came in, didn't have anything to eat and the person in charge at that moment was to busy on his phone to bother.

The customer service at this hotel was shocking! They overcharged us (a lot) for breakfast and when we were checking out and wanted to use their listed service of luggage storage the man was too busy talking on his mobile to even talk to us and just left our luggage lying in the corridor. We left but felt so worried about our luggage we returned after 10 minutes and the man was still on his mobile phone and our cases were still just sitting in the hallway for anyone to help themselves! We then had to drag the luggage around with us while we tried to enjoy some of Milan's tourist attractions before we caught our train! Definitely would never stay here again and recommend other travellers to avoid!

Great location, perfect for exploring.

Perfect hotel for our trip to Milan, great location right next to the metro station made it really accessible and easy to get straight into the city centre. Room was everything you needed for a short city break, a good size and clean. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

It’s Ok.

Very close to the bus stop and metro. The hotel is 2 stars so don’t expect anything. However, breakfast is so chaotic, if you go down at 9, hardly anything left. You also constantly hearing banging of plates and cutlery due someone is literally washing dishes at the bar whilst you are having breakfast. It’s very small space and your table is not even more than 2 meter away from the bar. If you are not fussy, this is ok to stay in Milan.

After a long day of travel and checking into our hotel the last thing you need is to deal with a sour person who literally slammed our receipt and passport on the table!! The room was tiny with barely any space but the night shift man was the absolute worst.

Had an awful one night stay at the hotel and couldn’t wait to leave the next morning.
Our room was in the basement of the hotel, I suffer with dust allergy and as soon as I walked into the room I started sneezing. There was dust and mould everywhere. Also where we were underneath the reception it was very noisy and could hear people walking up and down the metal stairs that went into the courtyard outside of our room. There was lots of work that needing doing in the room and I am shocked at the price of €280 for one night for a room in such poor condition.

This smell coming from the toilet is absolutely disgusting. It is shameful that you have to smell such things for a hotel. They Italian manager gets worried every time he see you leaving, thinking you are not going to pay the City Tax, and keeps asking you about your room number and all that. They tried to convince me that the city tax should only be paid in cash, I disputed that, so not true.

The towels are not clean, the pillow covers have yellow stains on them. The Bed covers have cigarette holes in them, and if you touch them your skin gets itchy. Shocking hygiene in this place. It is a shame really, as the connection to the city is good, but the quality of the hotels is not even 1 star.

This is a one star place and is sold as a two. Puctures are a total scam, they do jot represent the rooms. The room my parents had had a better bathroom, my room bathroom was a JOKE!

Don’t stay here, it’s not like photos, the service is terrible. I stayed with my family
for 3 days. We know the hotel has not elevator, so for the time to make the check-out we asked for help to the staff to take our luggage because my father has a back surgery he wasn’t able to pick up the luggage and the person in charge told us he can’t and he did do anything. The bathroom was dirty, we chance rooms because the first one has an issue with the shower and the second room the gave us also the shower was in bad conditions. The breakfast it was bad, like old food from previous days. The only good it’s location but the hotel is terrible

Hotel was clean, but in dire need of refurbishment. We had a giant punch hole on the bathroom door, the toilet seat was unstable to say the least, toilet cistern wasn't attached to the wall & you have to be carefull. TV unit didn't work. Aircon would switch off after couple of minutes.
Location great, easy to reach variety of destinations by public transport or on foot.
Breakfast very good with choices of cereals, toast, yoghurts, cheese, salami, preserves & croissants.
Staff friendly and helpful all speaking English.
Added bonus tables on balcony in inner courtyard creating pleasant atmosphere

Close to public transport (train and bus services). Great proximity to supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and wine bars in the Dateo area. About a 30 minute walk to Il Duomo, Teatro alla Scala and Milano Centrale railway station.
Rooms, inclusive of shower, are small however sufficient for a city stay. Bed is comfortable. Air-conditioning and Wi-Fi are functional. The addition of a mini fridge would be beneficial, especially during the summer months. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fab value for money

The hotel room was basic and the shower was a bit small, but for the price it is such good value for money. The staff at the desk are welcoming and friendly and checking in/checking out was super easy. There is a television and air con, towels were provided. The hotel room itself was spotless and smelt clean as we entered. The location is ideal, it is not too far of a walk from Milan City Centre, and is also not far at all from the bus and train station- there is even a bus stop around a 5 minute walk away that takes you directly to the stations. The hotel was a bit noisy in the night, but that can't really be helped.

Hotel Dateo was an awful experience because the room and bathroom were both extremely unclean when we arrived at the hotel. The lack of a lift and assigning two seniors the topmost floor was just sad. I was also told that I had to pay for the breakfast when my hotels account showed it was already included. The breakfast wasn’t anything special either.

Not a good experience. Literally garbage, dust and supplies just sitting outside my door. No elevator. Hair dryer worked for about 15 seconds at a time. Toilet seat kept coming off. No real blanket, just a thin sheet and barely a sheet between myself and the mattress. AC took hours to actually make the room cool. Wifi stopped working after midnight... Luckily I was only staying here for 1 night or I would have absolutely booked somewhere else.

Be careful to what you booked as you wont get what you requested. We requested 2 triple rooms and they gave us 2 double bed rooms. I had to complain to manager who only offer to change one room to two single beds.
Bathrooms really small. If you are a medium or large person then you will struggle to get in shower tray. Our shower plug was blocked and visitors next door was not closing.

Lovely hotel, in a great location close to bus and tram stops that take you basically anywhere you need to go.
Felt very welcome and safe due to the staff! They always made sure we felt comfortable and if we needed anything they where more than happy to help! The room was basic and the breakfast was enough to fill you up but it is what you pay for as it is a budget hotel!
Had a lovely stay would come back again !

We got an 'economy' room meaning a bit cheaper and in the basement. The room was a bit outdated and cleanliness was not a strong point but the room was functional had good amenities and connected to the back garden. Very nice staff and a nice little breakfast was included in the price. The main areas are updated and spotless making us assume that the standard rooms were a bit more updated and clean. Very easy access by public transport.

Hotel Dateo was OK because we stayed for just one night in Milan. Bought a double room, which was very small. The shower was also incredibly small, and breakfast was really bad! It was all self service, with a choice of what looked like easy single slices of cheese and cheap processed meat, you had typical cereals and orange juice aswell. The staff on the other hand were very nice, helped us with any queries. It's located about 20 minutes from the central station we got a taxi which cost €8. To walk into the main central area like the cathedral it took about another 25 minutes. Overall it was just ok, wouldn't recommend staying for more then a couple days!

Hotel was as expected for the price; an old, dark basement room with hard beds which was in desperate need of refurbishment. However, we had clean sheets and towels, bathroom was very clean with a really powerful hot shower, Wi-Fi was excellent and the centre of Milan was around 25 mins away walking. So the vital things were good enough but the hotel itself was very basic. Bit odd that the rooms only seemed to have ONE key so we had to give in our key every day before we left so the staff could make our beds and replace towels and toilet roll etc. Seems unprofessional! But on the whole we enjoyed Milan. Hotel was a 10 euro taxi to Milan Centrale and Milan Linate Airport.

Worst hotel I have ever been to. No elevator, cannot shower without standing in a huge pool of water, drainage in virtually non existent and smell bad, tiny room with worn out furniture. Just pay an extra 10 Euro and stay at a better place.

The staff were excellent, friendly capable helpful and spoke English well. Our room was on the third floor, no elevator, but someone carried our bag up for us. There was a nice breakfast and we learned afterwards it was five euros. The room was small and old with a noisy street outside. We plugged in the TV and blew a breaker which couldn't be fixed until the next day so we had an extension cord from the hallway.

The hotel was small and very basic. We didn't have a window in the room, instead we had window doors that opened out onto the courtyard. There was no screen or lock on the doors, they simply opened if you pushed hard enough. As such, we didn't really feel as though the room was secure to leave our passports etc in. Also, there seemed to be a musty smell in the room that we couldn't get rid of because we couldn't open any windows. Overall, not a great place if you're hoping to relax and enjoy a holiday. It's very basic so if you're only looking for a place to stay overnight and nothing more, maybe this would be an option.

I would say this hotel is good enough if you don't intend to stay inside for too long. The rooms are cleaned regularly and well maintained. The hotel is close to the center and central station, allowing me to reach the important spots swiftly. Furthermore, staying in this hotel is cheap. I cannot ask for more with the price I paid for booking the room. :-)

Epämiellyttävä kokemus. Huone haisi kostealta ja koko hotelli oli täysin kulahtaneessa kunnossa. Sänky oli ahdas kahdelle ja suihkussa ei mahtunut peseytymään. Ei hissiä, tavaroiden kanssa oli kiitettävä neljänteen kerrokseen jyrkkiä portaita. Huoneessa asukaskäytössä vain yksi pistorasia, joten toinen joutui ladata puhelimen vessassa. Aamupala köyhä, ei todellakaan hotellimainen. Vaihtoehtoja oli todella vähän, suolaista oli tasan kovaksi keitetty kylmä kananmuna ja leivän päälle saatava meetvursti.

Hyvä sijainti metro- ja juna-aseman vieressä. Rauhallinen ja hiljainen kodikas hotelli. Tilava huone mutta varustelu huono. Edes kertakäyttömukia ei löytynyt hampaiden pesua varten. Aamiainen vaatimaton ja vähäisestäkin tarjoilusta osa loppunut jos ei heti aamiaisen alettua mennyt paikalle. Siivous oli pelkän pienen roskiksen tyhjennys ja wc-paperirullan tuominen. Suht kallis tasoon nähden mutta Milanossa ei missään yövy edullisesti.

Fomos bem atendidos e o hotel era razoável para uma diária, também tinha a vantagem de ser de frente pra uma estação de metrô, as acomodações estavam limpas e a cama era confortável. O quarto e banheiro que ficamos eram apertados, e como ficamos no último andar e não tinha elevador, era uma subida cansativa principalmente para subir com as malas.
