Convenient for the Haynes Museum and The Air museum. The rooms not as nice as we expected. Very dark and dated. The toilet was loose on the floor and there was no hot water in the sink, our room didn’t have curtains but shutters which meant if you made it private you couldn’t have any fresh air and it was very hot! Breakfast was okay. Beautiful wisteria growing in the courtyard

Random internet search found this place while we were between homes. Everybody in the hotel was so friendly and this made the stay really enjoyable. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon and were tired so did not want to go out for food and we were so pleased we didn’t as the restaurant food food was absolutely great. Home cooked with a great selection. We would very happily stay again.

Had an enjoyable stay, the room was a little smaller than anticipated with not a great view onto a roof! Had booked for the restaurant but the menu wasn't particularly exciting & the dining not very inviting so cancelled the reservation & ate elsewhere. That apart it was a comfortable & convenient stay.

Areas of the hotel are part of a much older building and as such, the room I was given had a low door height. Luckily I am only 5'8\" and only had to dip my head to get into the room. This could easily be awkward for much taller people and nothing was said when I checked in.
The room was ok, quite basic and clean but they really need to open their eyes and remove the cobwebs and spiders from the corners of the room. The cobweb in the bathroom had a lovely big dead fly in it.
Being an old property, the floor wasn't 100% flat which in turn put the bed on an angle. Not that big a deal but a couple of spacers to level it out would have prevented me from at an angle across the bed. Good job I was on my own. As I say, it's a nice hotel but not what I would expect for the money that are charging.

Just one night to visit family. Room was adequate. Was somewhat dusty and I wiped the nightstand as it had marks on it. Bathroom and room were a little tired and the flooring wasn’t particularly nice. But the price was good and it served a purpose. Staff very friendly.

I stayed at the Northover Manor with some colleagues as we were on a weekend job. The hotel was very tidy and clean, well maintained, and in a lovely quiet village. They served a very nice dinner on Saturday evening, and their function room and grounds were pretty and well maintained. I could see it being a very comfortable place for a wedding or family reunion, or even an office retreat.

The entrance to reception needed tidying up, the room was clean and the garden was nice. Breakfast was good quality but for the price I think more should be offered when someone does not like beans and tomatoes, as 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage and egg makes it a pricey breakfast. The receptionist when we arrived did not give a good impression, a smile costs nothing and a hole in her clothing was not what I expect to see in a receptionist. The following morning I was pleasantly surprised as the lady serving the food was jolly, on checkout the lady on reception could not have been more different to the previous evening and I left with a much more positive view of the hotel.

Disappointed with the bathroom as the extractor fan didn’t work, the shower controls were extremely stiff and there must have been something wrong with the electrics as two of the three lights went off and on at will and the third started flickering after 5 minutes.

On arrival the receptionist was polite and friendly, cannot fault her. The room was comfortable and clean but could have done with a few more tea bags instead of two of each option. The wifi was strong and quick which was good as my phone signal was not the best.
The evening meal was amazing! I’d go back just to eat there again! The chap serving us was nice and seemed to have a passion for his menu(not sure if he was the owner). Breakfast was good too. The hotel is in a great location, just being off the a303 it’s ideal as a stop off without being right next to the duel carriageway. Plenty of free parking

Our stay at Northover manor hotel was fabulous from start to end. I'd hoped for better circumstances for our stay, as we were in Ilchester for a family funeral. All of the staff were fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was cereal and juice followed by cooked breakfast of choice, with copius amounts of tea/coffee.

We had accessable room (10) and my only critisism with the hotel was there was hardly room for my left leg to get between the wall and the toilet. And with a full hotel you best get up early for the shower there was no hot water lefrt for us, other than that an excellent stay.

Due to my late arrival I was contacted by Tracey on my way down to ensure I had eaten as the restaurant would be closed by the time of my arrival which ended up being 9pm. Tracey had stayed on to ensure I had a warm welcome and gave information regarding my room and hotel.
The following two days I was looked after by Flick who was simply lovely. Sorted me out a light breakfast each morning and cooking me an evening meal which was delicious. I was also greeted with a cold beer after my day at work and was allowed to work whilst drinking. Flick always went out of her way to chat with me which is lovely when you are away from home.

The hotel itself is nice. The room was disgusting, smelt so heavily of damp. The following morning all of my clothes smelt damp and it really affected my chest. The room was so noisy. I could hear the people in the room above going to the toilet frequently, even just their walking about. The service was slow as there’s not many staff.

Ok so it’s a little dated compared to modern hotels, but it has charm. Great food, great staff, always friendly, quick service. Not much local but there’s things a short drive away like the fleet air arm museum.

Tricky hotel to find. Rather old-fashioned room and furnishings were at odds with the modern bar and dining room. Service was friendly and helpful if a bit erratic - some wait staff were a lot more efficient than others! Food was excellent and the gluten free choices encompassed much of the menu. Breakfast was excellent with GF bread and a freshly-cooked full English. Would happily stay again but maybe in a different room as the noise from the bar seemed to reverberate along the corridor and was quite distracting.
