Room was ok with a good view but the drawback was a lot of cigarette smoke entered the room from the people smoking in the garden below the window. It was quite hot and there is no AC.
This was a business trip and the wifi was virtually non existent along with mobile reception. So I had to drive into town to get some work done.
Ate there twice and the food came out so hot that you couldn't really eat it for a good 15-20 mins, obviously nuked in a microwave. I even burnt my finger on a ciabatta roll.
There are cigarette dog ends everywhere around the property on the floor and I think most guests smoked, which is their prerogative but the whole place just smelt like a giant ashtray so I spent as little time there as possible.
I wouldn't stay again, but if you like the smell of ashtrays and cigarettes and food hotter than the sun then you'll enjoy this place.

Check in was really friendly, the room is good. I'm in a single room with a skylight instead of window, but the air con was welcome and effective. Only criticism is that I wasn't told or shown that there is a pole provided (tucked away behind the tea/coffee table) to close the ceiling blind (and I was too tired after a long journey to go downstairs and ask) so I was up with the daylight.

Breakfast however not so nice :( over cooked and items undercooked you cant drink the water so have to buy it after being given 2 bottles in room.they cost £2 each for water
Alot of workers were staying the hotel who didnt care about other guests especially at 2am drinking in the garden
No directions on where to.go for dinner or breakfast was a guess job in the hotel

Room 23 - The main room area was spacious and clean,
however it could have been decorated and finished off more professionally.

There were scuff marks on the walls in places.

The lighting was too harsh for a hotel room.

There were power sockets above the beds and halfway up the walls, which looked unsightly with exposed cables across the walls.

There was a powerpoint in between the pillows where the double bed has been positioned, which could be dangerous if a phone is left charging, as it is right next to the head a sleeping person.

The bath had black mould patches around the silicone sealing and there was no lock on the bathroom door. It was also difficult to shut properly.

You can see where decorating has been done, but not finished off neatly.

The breakfast was very good, but the room smelled of damp or drains where we were seated, which impacted on enjoyment of our food.

The bar area and restaurant are very nicely decorated - welcoming and cosy.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

But the property overall is in need of some attention to improve the quality of guest experience.

Friendly staff, good food, but very noisy!

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, homemade food and service were great. The room itself didn't seem to match the photos though, quite small but it was clean. Low rating is for the noise which unfortunately we could not ignore throughout the night, and therefore we slept very badly. The walls and floors are thin, so you can hear everything around and below, as well as car noises from the main road. Our room was next to some sort of boiler (?) which made a prolonged audible noise every minute or two throughout the night, we couldn't sleep at all.

An enjoyable stay. Well worth the visit

We had a great time. The room was clean & tidy. Great to have, not only tea & coffee but also hot chocolate, latte and biscuits. Chocolate mints as well. Botled water in the fridge too. Breakfast was well prepared and tasty. Bar area had very comfortable lounge chairs .

The property was surprising good the down stairs bar and dining area were good the atmosphere was friendly and the staff attentive and friendly. The restaurant was small but the food was very very good. The owner chef discussed the menu with me and his recommendation was not far wrong. The restaurant alone makes a visit at least worthwhile. The room was as you would expect of a pub basic but nevertheless clean there were toiletries supplied shower worked well. The only criticism I would make was the bed was like stone very very hard. Tv reception was poor maybe due to weather conditions. The accommodation is a pub so noise from the bar on a weekend was to be expected and it didn’t disappoint there were parties both nights so was a little high they ended at mid night so no complaints there. All in all a good choice if you are on route to somewhere or visiting the area. There is nothing in walking distance from the property so car is a must.

We have stayed here before during the Covid restrictions, due to it being dog friendly. On our third and recent visit we discovered that it is now under new ownership and the room we like has now been upgraded with new doors, beds, and bathroom facilities. The previous management were parsimonious with toiletries and coffee making facilities, however, the new owners are much more generous and provided a range of biscuiuts and hot drinks. On all our visits we have been impressed with the breakfasts, however we were prevously unimpressed with evening dining. Speaking to other guest at our latest stay we we told that the food is now superb and we look forward to sampling the menu on our next visit. Apparently, the new owner is a chef!

Found online as I needed a B&B for one night while speaking at a meeting nearby. Didn't realise it was attached to a pub at first, but the rooms were separate so no noise from bar areas. Single room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Excellent selection of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits etc. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, and an amazing full English breakfast with lots of choice.

The staff here are really nice but that's the only good thing I can say.
The room was old and tired, it was also SO HOT that it was insane. It's like the floors were heated.
You open the windows to get some cool air and are greated to floods of cigarette smoke.
The parking is a joke, car park is just full of motor homes.
Sorry but I wouldn't stop here again even if the rooms were £25 a night - but at £75 a night that's just not worth it

The room I had was fine ,it had aircon and a large bed. We booked a table for our group at 7:30 had our main course and asked for dessert - no go, we were told that the chef had gone so we couldn't have dessert .
I won't be staying there again.

An overnight stay on our way to Cornwall. Excellent friendly service. Room great for pre teens as our daughter had a twin room attached to our room with super king. Great night's sleep. Food great, had a lovely evening meal and good breakfast. Would benefit from some updating of decor, but this was also part of it's charm. Only criticism was that WiFi was intermittent.

The curtains were old and ripped and lacked lining so the outside lights shone through.
On a positive note the breakfast was good and we were allowed a late check out.

A Lovely Stop Over.

Ideally located for Street, Glastonbury, Somerton and Langport.
This dog friendly inn has a lovely lake and beer garden.
We were allocated a large spacious family ensuite room. Room 15.
It also benefited from air conditioning and a fridge.
Bath and shower, lovely towels.
The onsite restaurant provided a wide range of food, including vegetarian options.
We had dinner and breakfast. The meals we had were tasty and plentiful.
Staff are friendly and service attentive.

The downstairs is a lovely countryside style pub and the breakfast was nice. Owner was nice and friendly.

The room was small and had no windows so no fresh air or any views. Had to either have a desk fan or air conditioner unit on which were both noisy so had poor sleep.

The room was very basic and was listed as a double but it was only big enough for one

A bit dated but good value

The room was a good size with decent television. Furniture s little dated as was the bathroom, but it all did the job. Towels lovely, but no toiletries provided (need tobtake your own).

Location was lovely with super luttle lake at the rear and some local wildlife.

Breakfast was basic but well cooked and evening menu a little light on choice. Overall value for money was good.

Nice area around the fishing pond. Bar and eating areas good with tables you can actually get your legs under. Rooms basic but value for money and ours had the kettle cord suspending an extension lead that I'm sure would not pass any safety checks. Covid precautions not enforced at the bar as a customer was allowed to stand against it chatting to the barmaid for an hour despite numerous notices under his nose. Breakfast was filling.

Good location for a trip from Beds/ Herts to the West Country as a stop over. Dog friendly/ accommodating. Good sized family room. Basic and a bit dated in places but mostly kept clean.Was well fed with an evening meal and the included breakfast. (Cooked fresh croissants on request and a sausage for the dog). Staff welcoming. Respected social distancing. Pleasant area to walk dog around lake.

Everyone so nice, the room was nicely decorated (fresh looking) and clean. Had a comfortable sleep, the silence was the best and the view when you wake up is lovely. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and there was just enough of everything. It was freshly cooked which o tend to prefer as thenbit is hot.

Nice country pub near Yeovil with rooms. The setting is very nice and the pub and eating area and food are all great. Staff also very nice and during the non-sleeping hours the stay was great. Found out at night however the walls are very thin and if you have drunken party-goer types that want to stay up talking talking and laughing till 4am you will hear them and be kept awake so it ruined a nice stay in a major way. Also smoking allowed in some rooms and you will smell/have it coming in yours which is not good. Internet a tad slow but everything else was very good and price was reasonable for what you got however noise levels were really bad so might be worth paying more to be able to get a good night's sleep somewhere with soundproofing.

Hotel in nice location, but sadly very dated. We stayed in roon No 5, a twin room, first impressions ok but flooring in bad condition due to uneven surface. Bathroom in a poor state due to uneven flooring and toilet not flushing. Good points, next to a fishing lake with plenty of parking! Food is good and staff friendly.

Breakfast very disappointing. Stuck in the bar the other side of the hotel and had to go through a corridor to where the very basic buffet facilities were. One had to serve oneself tea or coffee and carry it back The first hotel that I have been in where you were not asked at the table \"Tea or coffee?\" Despite it saying on the menu that you could order croissants, were told rather curtly \"We don't do croissants\"
