The location is perfect. Restaurants, souvenir shops, grocery stores, and a money exchange office are within walking distance.
Some points for improvements: 1) one of the two air conditioners was broken, 2) there were no sheets for sofa beds in the room, and 3) the Wi-Fi was slow.
Overall, the room is large enough for a family, and it was a comfortable stay.

I was told when i arrived at the Sultanamet hotel, that that wasn't the reservation and if i wanna to Stay there must pay $200.00 Extra ...that i did because i was tired ...and the Person worki g there do not wanna give a receipt even after i recuest a couple times and he tell me to pay Cash in American USA dollars..the Next day i Observe the place had alot bugs...!
I did Report the Situation...they cleened but still had bugs...?

Our Sultanahmet Suites experience was mixed. Initially we were given a very small room which was clearly not what we paid for. Fatih, the manager was a great guy and very accommodating. We eventually changed rooms 4 times during our week long stay for one reason or another but the last two rooms were nice and spacious albeit with minor issues like AC out of order or drains blocked. Overall would recommend but suggest making sure you check which room you've paid for.

A wonderful hotel

It's a very nice hotel! Everything is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, the air conditioner is working for your arrival. A large balcony with a lovely view. A cozy room with a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and dishes. Convenient location in the center of the Old Town, about 7 minutes to all the sights of the Old Town. The staff was very friendly and helped us with various issues, including calling a taxi at 4 a.m. I really liked this hotel!

Lower your expectations

Good location and comfortable enough. Don’t take breakfast with your room. Not that great and there are plenty of breakfast options in the area for same price.
Room service consists of garbage pick up and towel swap. Don’t expect more even if you ask.

We had an amazing four night stay here. The lovely lady owner and Fatin who works for her went above amd beyond to make our stay memorable. There is a travel agency as part of the business so we could book tours conveniently. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony which provided a wonderful view. This is a charming old building right in the middle of the Sultanhemet district so close to everything. I would highly recommend.

We booked the room in this area but turn out a different address building about 5min walk. We had 3 heavy bags difficult to carry. Communication is poor, Cleaner staff not nice. We were not welcomed at all.
Overall area is nice, but staff need to be polite and friendly with guests.

Pros:
1.The general manager was very welcoming and offered many great ideas for our 1 week stay in Istanbul.
2.We were able to book our Covid-19 PCR right away for our return flight to Canada. The nurse came to the location and we got print outs of our results by the end of the day.
3.The location is great - grand bazaar, Sultanahmet square, and the tram are all within walking distance.
4.We were able to book a return cab service from the location to the airport for about 400 Lira’s which is a bit expensive but only definite choice we had.

Cons:
1.On the first night we arrived, the room we had originally booked was unavailable. So we stayed in a different room that night and then switched over the next morning. We were okay with this but it was a minor inconvenience as we had to return to the room I n the middle of our day.
2.We had issues with not having hot water for 3-4 days. The management tried to rectify this issue to the best of their ability but it not great being in 4-5 degrees Celsius weather without having a warm/hot shower, especially after being outdoors for most of the day.
3.On the last day of our trip, there was no wifi connection all day. We needed to check in our our flight and were unable to complete our check in due to lack of internet access.
4.The night time Bosphorus cruise was recommended to us as a 5 star experience, after paying 80 euros for both of us, it turned out to be a 0 star experience. Don’t do it!

Sadly the apartments did not live up to their photographs. The first apartment we were given had dirty sheets and duvet cover and I requested to be moved. This was done and the second one was cleaner but in need of renervation. Hot water was very hit and miss!

A wonderful stay at a sweet hotel suite

I had a lovely stay at Sultan Ahmet suites. The room was located in another building from the main hotel building, but the location was better for my purposes. The room was a little dark as it was on a basement level, and the hotel was able to offer me a room on a higher level after a few days, but I declined it as I didn't want the hassle of moving. The room itself was clean and had everything I needed. There were a few glitches at the beginning, but the management was great at fixing them very quickly.

I liked the fact that the property was cleaned daily with new towels being provided. Nice size flat.

We landed at 10:30 on airport and reached the appartment at 12:00 am however there was no one in the office, kept ringing the door bell and had no response. I was really worried so kept slamming the door and only when i started slamming the doors of the adjacent hotel that some one appeared from the door after 20 plus minutes of trying. This was a terrifying experience with kids and wife in a narrow empty street with no where to go.

Every thing else after this was ok but i did hear similar banging on doors and people struggling to get some ones attention on one 14th or 15th december at night where Some one landed at night and struggled to find some one to recieve them from the office.

Streets are very very steep towards blue mosque so be aware if u have kids or elderly, this might not be for u

But after visit personally decided to upgrade to standard suite and paid almost double which I have paid earlier. At check in we were told that our apartment was not available and were taken to a small basic room with no kitchen or view,[ which we had booked]. After complaining, we were taken to another larger apartment with a kitchen and told that we would have to move the next day to a bigger 'more beautiful' apartment with a great view, which we did, and it was lovely, comfortable and well-equipped, although the shower was cold. [This will be the one in the picture, which we assumed was where we were staying for 3 nights]. Very convenient for the sights in Sultanahmet area and airport bus. Lots of stores/supermarkets/local restaurants nearby

A hidden gem

Hidden just south and west of the main tourist areas this is perfectly located to reach the most popular attractions with a moderate climb up the hill. Conveniently located next to food, coffee, and refreshments, including a not so obvious antiques market next door. The men that run the place are considerate and humerus and if not busy will take you on an adventure to see the city that they love. I stayed in the top floor apartment that had views over the neighborhood and the Mamara Sea and a lovely patio that was a great location for dinner and watching the setting sun.

Nothing unique about the property, located in a run down building smelling of cat urine,although the apt. Was updated,the annoying part was sensor light in bathroom,which was only activated when standing infront of sink ,shower and toilet not covered. Had booked a double bed and got a single,was offered to move to another ,but had already spent a night in another hotel as my booking wasnt honored on my first night ,it wasnt any better, and i wasnt keen on moving for a third time within a 7 day stay.

Totally renovated apartment in a 200 years house. Smazling clean. Very friendly and respectful staff. Enjoyed every second of it. Close to everything. Expect a steep uphill walk to all historical attractions. It was good workout for me after all the tasty Turkish food around. Highly recommended

An ok place to stay at.

Had an ok time in Sultanahmet Suites. The room was extremely small however had a large terrace which we could sit at. The water took a while to warm up each time we wanted to shower. When leaving, we provided the hotel the address we wanted to get to via taxi, however this message was not passed on to the taxi driver making our trip 15 minutes longer as they got lost. Location wise, for our apartment was a 10 minute walk to The blue mosque, they have apartments all over the area, so you may not be at the head office for you stay!

When I arrived with my wife and 3 children they said we do not have suite for you and then they throw my in underground suite very dearly U have photos with no services for three days then they moved me to another suite full of cockroach I was suffering and my kids of that for the last day even in the beds and the photo they showed on line is not the real of hotel and the location is deferent as well in general was very bad experience I do not recommend any body to go sultanahmet suites . I didnt stay, they cancelled my booking due to a rude employee, who wanted to convince me that a sofa is a twin bed and wanted to give me one room instead of the two I booked based on that explanation. But at least they refunded, So they were not crooks, and thats why its not a zero star rating. No one to help in bags. Lost me a whole day of my vacation cancelling and finding another hotel, which was way much better in everything.

Horrible experience. Again, horrible experience. Don’t ignore my comments because it will happen to you with this terrible hotel. It’s not even a hotel. It’s a real estate office that checks you in then they will take to a remote residential old stinky building about 10 minuets walk away. There is no elevator. You have to haul your own luggage 3 stories to get to your “”suit””. Maybe about 25sf total area. Lights are burnt out and there was old hair and pubbies still in the bed and sheets. Dirty pillows and cases. No air condition, as remote was not working. Shower had mold all over. Top of the bed on wall was full of mold. When complained I was told pretty much to go and screw myself as they already got their money from Travelocity. Big NOOOOOOO.

Below is a detailed review

1. Booked the hotel and email the hotel that i need pickup from the airport. No response. So i emailed again and send multiple messages but the hotel failed to respond. Had to book a taxi service to get to the hotel

2. My taxi driver wanted to get the exact location and he kept on calling the hotel front desk and no one answered. he tried many many times but no avail. But somehow we got to the location and my driver in Turkish language showed his anger that you guys never answer phone and i need directions to drop of the passengers

3. When i got there i found out that the room was in another building 5-7 mins walk. This walk is not a straight road as the roads are cramped and have ramp and slope. We were in a transit so we had all our luggage. There was no proper means of transporting our luggage to the room and we had to drag in on the streets. There was only one guy and he helped us with 2 suitcase and me and my wife drag additional 2 suitcase

4. When we got to the building there were 3 floors with no lift no where it was mentioned

5. The bathroom we got was no where closed to what it was in the picture it was very small. The bathroom is the picture we selected was a separate standing shower and looked clean and spacious in the picture which was the complete opposite to what we got

Lovely staff, especially Harun, he was very welcoming and entertaining. Quickly responded to all concerns and guided and recommended us with local attractions. Dennis the hotel manager was also a lovely man.
Kitchen facilities were good. The balcony wasn’t clean and you could not really see the sea whilst sat. However we did not use the balcony as we were to busy exploring. It can get quite noisy but then again the majority of Istanbul will be noisy.

I want to thank all the staff, we have met some lovely people on this journey :)

It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. Room was okay, they cleaned it everyday, bathroom was very small, you shower right next to the toilet! The toilet seat was loose/broken, the shower head holder was broken you couldn’t position it correctly. Oh and bathroom lights were out :) had to keep the bathroom door open all the time I was using it.
But all that matters to me is how clean it was, and it was spotless.

The personal insist a lot to buy their tours, which was at least 20% more expensive than the other tour operators...very disappointed, definitely not coming back

Reasonable Place to Stay

Booked and paid for room with seaview but did not get it. Was first given a standard room and later \"upgraded\" to a suit but still without seaview or balcony as booked.
The room given is not at the main site so we had to walk about 8-10 minutes for breakfast. Breakfast is not buffet and quite limited choice (we decided to look for our own breakfast after the first 2 days). Drinking water was provided only on 1st day and I found out it was not new bottle but rather refilled in the mineral water bottle.
Room is clean, with sofa, dining table and has the facilities as advertised (hob, microwave, cooking pots, cutleries, etc.). Bed is good!
Service is reasonably good, Harun was always trying to help us in anything we needed.
Location is okay, places to visit, food and shops are all within walking distance.
I had originally given a poor review and the Manager wasn't happy and asked me to change my review! However, my poor review was only for the checking in on 1st day, overall it was okay.

Good location

On my first day of arrival, I arrived late due to my flight landing late and my room had been given to some other guest. Therefore the room that I stayed in the first night was not very pleasant due it needed a lot of work needing to be done. However, two days later when I was given my room that I had booked, it was pleasant and was ideal in location, as you could easily access a lot of tourist sites and yet be away from the hustle bustle. The annoying thing was that the stairs in the apartment were noisy and other residents going up and down them didnt respect the peace and queit of others. You have definitely make it clear if you want your room cleaned daily as that wasn't always the case. Overall, I loved my trip to Istanbul and the manager Joy, was a great help in advising where places where on the map and how to access them conveniently.

Nice hotel although very difficult to find

If you judge the hotel by the reception office you will be disapointed. It is a very small office that leads to nothing. Then the staff take you to the different building of the hotel which are very nice building around the place
