The location is good. Breakfast decent. Even with the discount it felt a little overpriced but it seems to be par for the course for Turkey these days. Having 2 bedrooms in one suite was great. There is a musty smell to the sheets and rooms. A window was left open when I arrived and I hadn’t realized until the morning, and it was in the middle of winter between rainy days. One of the staff was great and friendly, the other less so. It’s okay, was a decent experience but felt too pricey for what we got.

A family of 4 adult stayed in the \"family room\" for 7 nights in January 2026. Highlights: helpful staff at every turn, wonderful breakfast with both US style and European style breakfast options. Tiny negatives: room sizes smaller than I expected, bathroom small. Hotel is very close to many of the old town highlights (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern), but there is some steep walking to get there. Several reasonable restaurants within 300 meters of the hotel.

The hotel is in old town and is a typical hotel in that area. Walking in the area requires walking up large hills, which is also typically in that area. The staff was wonderful and will to help with anything you need. Breakfast was very good and they offered made to order eggs and omelettes. Room is standard size and comfortable, air conditioning worked well. They set up transportation to airport for us!

Bed very comfortable, pillows average. Bedrooms and bathroom weren’t cleaned properly throughout the week’s stay. The sink was merely wiped with clear soap marks still visible and taps not wiped at all on some occasions. Broken toilet seat that nipped skin. Staff smoking out on the front steps which you had to walk through. Breakfast is heavily based on processed meat and cheese. Yogurt not fresh everyday, syrups and jams in massive bowls with flies about. Two slice toaster insufficient and slow. Generally only white sliced bread available. Not healthy breakfast choices, chips, fried onion rings, and other deep fried items.

Overall, we have nothing bad to say about our stay in Kare Hotel. Location was very convenient to all old city tourist attractions, hotel itself is neat and staff is very friendly and helpful. Front desk people gave us really good tips on food places and arranged transportation to airport that was fairly priced (given the fact that everything is very expensive in Istanbul).
Breakfast was very good, had variety from day to day and staff ensured that everything was refilled.
The only drawback for us was the front staircase - we traveled with toddler and stroller and oh boy was it a workout to get it up and down the stairs.
The room was a decent size, had everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating to our requests if we had any.

This hotel had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was also quiet also. Front desk was super helpful. Went out of the way to help us. My son had left his phone in a taxi cab and they helped him track the taxi and also translate for us when it was necessary. I can’t thank them enough for such an excellent service and experience

Hotel is still in great condition for being in old town. Maybe a 5-8 minute walk to the blue mosque. Breakfast that is included is just ok. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also 10 euro to send out a bag of laundry to have washed dried and folded on return. Seemed like a great deal since places around were 250 per kg.

Kare was a great hotel in Faith, Sultan Ahmet, Istanbul near the historic old town. Smaller room, but enough space for 2 people to stay a couple of night. We used the metro to and from the airport with the istanbulkart pass. Very walkable to Hagia Sophia and other sites. However, the restaurant prices were too expensive in this area, so we took the T1 tram west a few stops over past Topkapi station for much more affordable delicious food.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel and everything was great! Room was spacious for 3 adults and lots of luggage. Breakfast was the same daily which was ok. Easy to get around but prepared to walk uphill and downhill as this hotel is located 6 mins away from the tram station. Shower in our hotel room could use some extra clean to get rid of the mold in the tile.

For the cost, this hotel was very nice. It was about a 10 min walk to the Blue Mosque and about 15 to Hagia Sophia. There were numerous small restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner.
Our room had a small problem with odours from the washroom and the shower didn't drain very well. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable.
Our aiport transfer had trouble getting to the hotel to drop us off due to how narrow the streets are around the hotel.

This location is fantastic for anyone looking for walkable convenience. It’s so easy to get around, with plenty of great spots just a short stroll away. The dining options are particularly impressive—there’s a variety of restaurants to choose from, and every meal we tried was delicious. Overall, it’s a great place to stay or visit if you enjoy exploring on foot and having excellent food options close by. The only minor problem was the prayers at 6 am we are not used to it but to be honest it was not a big deal.

I don’t like the location! It is quiet which was great but felt unsafe …. I feel safe in Istanbul but the area of the hotel has weird roads and buildings around but 2 blocks up is much better! At the rime of check out the Front desk guy was so rude. He made us waiting in the lobby to send someone to checkout our room and made sure we had the keycard in the room. Excellent hotel - had a Delux room, spacious, excellent soundproofing that thankfully blocks the call to prayer early in the morning, very clean with good sized bathroom and walk in shower. Excellent breakfast, with omelette on request. Arrived early to a forced airline change and offered to join breakfast, and phoned when room was ready. Can't be faulted.
NOTE ON LOCATION- Need a taxi for arrival and departure if you have luggage. Steep cobbled roads and plenty of steps make it virtually impossible to haul luggage with wheels , even for a very short distance. Otherwise very central, everything within walking distance.
