Great Value for Money in a Convenient Location

Location:
- Very close to the tram station and within walking distance of the Sultanahmet area.
- Steps away from numerous restaurants, convenience stores, and a laundry service.
- Located in a safe area, making it comfortable to walk around both day and night.

Room & Facilities:
- We were traveling as a family of four and were given a spacious two-bedroom suite with two bathrooms, which was extremely convenient. Having two bathrooms made getting ready much easier for our family.
-free.wifi, strong and good internet connection

Service:
- The reception staff were always friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay.
- One thing to note is that housekeeping does not automatically clean the room daily. You need to request room cleaning at the reception each day if you would like it done.

Breakfast:
- Complimentary breakfast was included and offered a good selection:
- Scrambled eggs
- Boiled eggs
- Hot dogs with tomato sauce
- Ham and cheese
- Bread
- Cereals
- Eggplant
- Cucumbers
- The food was good and sufficient to start the day.
- Just be aware that the breakfast menu remains the same every day and does not change.

Overall:
- Excellent value for money.
- Great location, spacious family-friendly rooms, and helpful staff.
- I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable and convenient stay in Istanbul.

Place was not as described in listing. Room was out dated and stuffy. The walls had dirt and scuff marks on them. The refrigerator did not work, our food rotted inside of it. Toilet did not flush, after bringing this up to the staff they attempted to fix it but were not successful. We then found out that the toilet only flushes in the afternoon due to plumbing pressure? No housekeeping, only towels given each day. Room was not actually cleaned. Towels were old and very thin. The staff was very kind and friendly but that doesn’t make up for the lack of accommodations. We did not eat breakfast there because it did not look very clean. The hotel is situated on a steep hill, if you have bad knees or mobility issues I wouldn’t recommend it. Cars can not easily get to hotel so be prepared to hike up the hill with your luggage. Location is great, very close to blue mosque and bazar. I wouldn’t stay here again. I would caution you when booking here, if you are a free spirited backpacker you’ll probably love it. If you are spoiled and used to nicer things you’ll hate it.

The stay was perfect! The location is about a 5 minute walk to the strip and entrance to grand bazar. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and always help you in ensuring your stay is the best. This was my second time staying there. Also, they have the cutest dog who sits outside the hotel, his name is Milo and he is the friendliest dog ever.

We loved Artika.The manager Salee was super helpful, respectful and friendly. We had the room right next to reception and it was great. He thought it less premium than the upper floors, but for us it was perfect. The hotel is clean and well kept, the kitchen staff lovely, the position near shops, restaurants and the main tourist sites of Sultanhmet excellent. We also appreciated there always being a staff manager on the desk, or outside chatting. Milo the Akita doggie who lives across the street is a sweet boy who always greeted us as we returned.

We checked out at 11am and then we left our luggage at the hotel because our flight was at 9pm then we came to collect the luggage at 4 pm. We asked them to use the toilet and they said they don't have toilet, we have to hold it until the airport, that took us 1 and half hours to reach the airport. The breakfast was very simple and there were only a few choices, apart from this everything was fine.

Perfect for our family trip

My three sons and I stayed from 21-30 August and had a wonderful time. The location was ideal, close to all the main attractions and yet hotel itself was a quiet and relaxing. The hotel is a little on an upslope.

Quiet but steep street, taxi’s struggle to drop and pick up outside. Rooms snug but clean. Bathrooms nice but do need an extractor fan, as paint peeling off the ceiling of 401.
Breakfast good.
Terrace could do with a little TLC to make the most of it.
Room 401 right by lift mechanics so can be noisy.
Very handy for main attractions.
Eating out in Istanbul very expensive but hotel does recommend local cafe that’s very reasonable.
Reception staff friendly.

Loved the Artika Hotel in the heart of Sultanamet.

The Artika was a “WOW” experience for our first trip to Istanbul. We chose it primarily for its location - easy walking distance from the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Cisterns and the Topkapi gardens. What made it “WOW”? The staff! Fluent English who looked at us as family. Solid advice about everything from security (walking is safe at all hours) to restaurants, to what scams that tourists may fall for (overpriced carpets).
Honest, warm smiles were given along with tidbits of the city’s history.
Our room was spotless with a modern bathroom. A minibar and safe were in the room. Breakfast was extra but we were too jet-lagged to partake.
Lots of restaurants were in easy walking distance - albeit on fairly steep cobbled streets.
Our room was quiet, a couple of streets off a larger road.

Rooms were good, area is good in a way that its close to the Sultanahmet Square. Hotel has good breakfast options/quality. Just 2 issues, noise inside the building as throughout the night and day, we could here commotion in the hall or stairs, and/elevator moving. 2ndly, cleanliness. The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly as there were lot of hair in the shower stall and some on the bed too. Otherwise, not bad. Washrooms are nicely built, room size is good.

There was nothing specific that was bad or good. the good bits hotel is in a great location rooms are very nice and shower is great. nothing really bad I think we got off on the wrong foot we arrived at about 7am I think and the reception chap was asleep on the couch. so we woke him didnt mean to but he was grumpy. not at all helpful but then he woke a bit more and was ok then. got us 2 ajoining rooms all good.

Such a great hotel, perfectly located, great staff. Easy check-in. Good room, comfy beds, great shower pressure, black-out curtains, fantastic air con. What more could you want?

If you aren’t great with hill walking this may not be the best option as the hotel is on a steep road, but I have a bad back and managed it fine, great workout! Istanbul is very hilly anyway, part of its charm!

I think Artika is a great hotel for us limited budget customers. It met all my requirements - cleanliness, comfort, friendly front office, most importantly, Airconditioning, which was excellent!!! Only drawback was accessibility to the hotel we drove into that area in a very large van as we were 5 of us and I chose Artika, based on pictures and reviews and had no idea the hotel was situated on a steep incline which might be a deterrent for older clients or customers with leg problems. On the whole very pleasant stay and I would book here again if I visit Istanbul in the future. Breakfast was also decent. Yilmaas deserves a shout out!

O hotel fica em Sultanahmet relativamente perto de vários pontos turísticos de acesso à pé o que é bom. A desvantagem é que fica numa rua que é uma descida íngrime e toda vez que tínhamos que sair do hotel tinha que subir uma ladeira.
Quanto à equipe era razoável. Alguns funcionários solícitos e outros mal humorados.
Acho que vale o preço que cobra porém buscando com antecedência é possível encontrar algo melhor.

Really impressed with this hotel. Great location - less than 10 minutes walk from Blue Mosque. We booked a family room for 5 of us including 2 bathrooms. Rooms were a decent size and clean. Service was fantastic- Mustafa really looked after us. We arranged tours through him and he even checked up on us while we were out to make sure we were ok. Nothing was too much trouble for him or rest of staff. We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying here again if we ever return to Istanbul.

The stay was great, the staff particularly Salah at the front desk was excellent with customer service.
The suite we booked was ideal for our family as it not only provided separate rooms and washrooms but also was a great way of living together as a family on the trip. The breakfast was good and the hotel was kept very clean.
I would certainly recommend this hotel who wants to plan a trip to Istanbul's most important visiting spots which are just a walk away from the hotel.

First of all the property is on a steep hill so I wouldn't recommend families with young children and elderly people to stay at this hotel. The taxi driver struggle to find the location of this hotel upon arrival. The fridges in our connecting room didn't work and there was no room service. Although our rooms were cleaned on a daily basis when we were out, the beddings whenever changed. On the second day of being there we notice that the kettle was filled with tea bags that must have been left in there by the previous people that stayed in that room. The staff was friendly however as we didn't book any excursions through the hotel, they made us feel bad. We booked a connecting room for 6 people and we was given a room with 5 people, when I told the the guy at the hotel that we booked a room for 6 people he said that we would have to pay an additional 35 euros for each night for an another bed. The view out of the balcony looks like a really run down area. There was a local fruit shop around the corner so that was a great advantage and there was a laundry just across the road which was beneficial too.

I liked the fact that is in walking distance of the blue mosque, hagua sophia mosque, topkaki palace. And you can even walk all the way to eminonu. The tram is like 2 min away from the hotel super close. Its a cute small hotel. Only problem was that if you booked for 2, but the other person doesn't arrive until the next day. They wont let them come in and stay... which i found so strange... that was my only issue. My friend had to look for another place

The hotel was in a convenient location close to a range of things like tram line, tourist sites and supermarkets. Breakfast was lovely and staff were nice. the room was clean, new and the beds were comfortable. Many thanks to all staff for their support

Tiny gem in a very good location

This hotel is highly recommended. Its location is superb. The only downside might be accessibility - it may take a while to navigate through characteristic tiny passages or walk facing sharp uphills. The property itself is cozy, nice, and very clean. Nice shower and nice wardrobes. The breakfast was very very good. The staff is not more than few people, some were family members, and they were super friendly and nice.

The staff is really courteous, friendly and hospitable and very helpful. Ladies helping in the kitchen over breakfast were super sweet and helpful. I strongly recommend the hotel. Has very good location, clean and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was also very good.

Our stay at Artika hotel was excellent. We stayed in the family connecting room and it was perfect. The connecting room was spacious with two bathrooms which was ideal for a family of 5. Everyone at the hotel was approachable, in particular Yilmiz who helped us out tremendously during our trip. Yilmaz spotted us a few times outside and gave us some great advice. The facilities are spot on and the location is perfect for access to the blue mosque and grand bazaar. It’s literally a 4-5 min walk to the metro. The hotel is located on a slope so elderly people may find it hard walking up this slope. Overall great stay and would come back again.

They are really fast , friendly, and nice and they spoke English very well. We came late to breakfast they reopened for us and remake the service . I like the hotel.
