The service was excellent. All staff were very kind and friendly, especially the receptionists. The room was small but very clean and had all the basics. The area is central but it's in a narrow street and you have to go up the hill to make your way to Sulltanahmed centre. The breakfast wasn't that good. It had a limited selection of food and mostly cold staff but does the job and it's ok if you're not too fancy. Overall the hotel it's a very good option to stay close to the main attractions of Sultanahmed

Great location in the old city, close to most iconic tourist sites, as well as easily walkable to many forms of public transit. The maid service was hit or miss, but any need was taken care of as soon as it was made known to the staff. The room was small by Western standards, but certainly sufficient for two--and modern, clean, and new. The morning breakfast fueled and delighted.

The area was very central to many landmarks. Staff,were friendly and helpful and provided good information about the city and things to do. The area was bustling and interesting watching the shoe makers at work. At times very noisy area and could do with some street cleaners the pavements were dirty with cigarette butts.

As budget hotels go this was fabulous. The staff very helpful. We were asked to change rooms part way through the stay which was not a problem to us. The staff moved our luggage to the new room and thanked us with a chocolate cake, whats not to love

The hotel was very good and well located for seeing all the sights. The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 was that the breakfast was not to my taste but that’s really my problem. There was a good offering for breakfast and free tea and coffee was available through the day. I could not fault the staff

We were given a room same floor as reception so everyone that was going up you can hear people going in the elevator. Room is quiet small the toilet was dirty when we first got in so had to flush.

As with that whole area, it is 'hilly' so be prepared to lift your heart rate!
The Metro & Tram mainline are close by, and give an excellent source of transport to the main areas. Tip. You can use your debit card for each access rather than buy a Travel Card. Typically .79 Turk/lire (18p GBP - 22 US cents/euro)
Desk staff very helpful in getting taxi's for longer distances which are also fairly priced - metered. And also giving advice of where to go.
Finally, don't buy Toblerone from the airport on the flight back....its an absolute rip off at 13 euros! Typical UK price 4 euros!

The manager and staff are wonderful, the room was comfortable with a balcony on the 5th floor. The breakfast variety was good. The only downside is the location. While it is a short walk to the tram, the streets are EXTREMELY steep and difficult for this old lady in both directions! While there were nice restaurants within a couple of blocks in one direction, it is surrounded by warehouses and manufacturing businesses and during the day the very narrow streets are filled with trucks and motorcycles and the narrow sidewalks are crowded with boxes and workers. But if I were younger, I would certainly return!

A real Gem of a hotel. Walking distance to all the major attractions and the tramline. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The included breakfast is superb, be sure to ask for their Turkish coffee. Rooms are super clean and bottled water is provided. The preselected tours they provide at reception are discounted and won’t disappoint! Highly recommend their Bosphorus night dinner boat cruise and a day at the beach on the Black Sea. Special thanks to Shidokht at reception for making the stay amazing! Thanks and keep up the fine work!

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at the omiya. Upon a long day of travelling we were warmly greeted by Furkan, with a complimentary room upgrade. Throughout the stay the whole staff was kind & always greeted us with smiles & hospitality making us feel welcomed.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the tram making it a perfect location to get to all attractions in Istanbul. The grand bazaar was only a 5 minute walk & just steps outside of the hotel are many dining options.
Daily breakfast is available everyday until 10am (I do wish that was until 11 we missed breakfast 2ce for sleeping in) however coffee & tea is available 24 hours in the breakfast room.
Our favorite thing about the hotel was the staff hospitality. Hugs all around when we left.
If you want to stay somewhere that gives you individual treatment then stay here. You are not a room number, you truly are guests!
Thank you to these wonderful people who were the best part of Istanbul!

The hotel was very welcoming. Modern facilities, including air conditioning. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and included in price. We had a corner room on 5th floor for 5 nights. It had two small balconies, one with a small table and two chairs, which was nice. It is on a small street that is a hill. There is a supermarket as well as a convenience close by. Walkable to many of the major sites. I would stay there again.

Hotel Customer Service 5 STAR! Excellent hospitality and coordination. They contacted me right away and helped to coordinate my transport from the Airport directly to the hotel SEAMLESSLY. The front desk were SO helpful and spoke GREAT english. They recommended restaurants and shopping and were amazing and kind. The staff helped with our bags, offereed to make us tea and coffee every time we entereed and were amazing. The location is brilliant with close proximity to everything. The rooms were very clean and seemed to be fairly new. The rooms are a tad small and so were the bathrooms, and you do not get any frills in the way of a disposable razor or toothbrush in the event you forget them. Also there is only 1 bottle of liquid soap/body wash/shampoo - I'm not a big fan of these 1 liquid for all, but it worked I suppose.

Girls trip to Istanbul

The hotel suite at Omiya Hotel was incredibly comfortable, with a balcony offering stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean sea. The room was immaculately clean, with a refreshing shower and crisp, fresh towels. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate any request, with Kurban in particular providing excellent recommendations for exploring the city. Every time we returned to the hotel, Kurban would offer us chai, which was always a delightful treat. I highly recommend Omiya Hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Turkey. I will definitely book a room here again on my next visit.

Omiya Hotel is a newly renovated property located comfortably in Sultanahmed. The renovation has been meticulous, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

At the check-in, we were greeted warmly by Kurban, who showed us two rooms they had available for us to choose from - a nice gesture of being given options. We were a party of 5 in two groups, and when the second group arrived early the next morning, they were allowed an early check-in, and on top of that, were offered to use the free breakfast on that same day.

I believe the Omiya did their absolute best to accommodate for our needs - and beyond - at check in.

This is a pleasantly surprising hotel within walking distance to all the landmarks and grand bazaar, literally 10 minute walk.

The hotel is clean and quiet and the service is exceptional, we were looked after very well by the staff especially Sidhu, Berut, Yaseen, Shezad, and Kurban.

Hotel ist relativ sauber und ordentlich. Allerdings wurden wir bei unserer Ankunft an der Rezeption darüber informiert, dass unser Zimmer nicht bereit sei, und wir mussten für eine Nacht in ein anderes Hotel ausweichen. Da unser Check-out um 12:00 Uhr ist und unser Flug erst am Abend geht, haben wir als Ausgleich dafür, dass unser Zimmer bei der Ankunft nicht vorbereitet war und wir die erste Nacht mit unserem Gepäck in ein anderes Hotel mussten, vorgeschlagen, im Zimmer bis zum Flug zu bleiben. Darauf sind sie jedoch nicht eingegangen.

Stattdessen bot man uns einen Transport vom Hotel zum Flughafen an, den wir mit 50 € bezahlt haben. Das Navigationsgerät zeigte eine Fahrzeit von 1:45 Std. zum Flughafen an, jedoch sagte der Fahrer, dass wir 2:45 Std. fahren würden, weil er einen anderen Weg nehme. Wenn wir schneller fahren wollten, verlangte er zusätzliches Geld, obwohl wir den Transfer bereits im Hotel bezahlt hatten.
