We stayed here 15 years ago and loved it and then again this past week. Hotel needs a major remodel and update! Extremely hard to open sliding glass doors, very dim light in bathroom, way too much $$ to rent chairs and umbrellas when you pay a resort fee, not happy with required valet. Will def not be returning

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and overall I had a good experience. However, there were a few things that I think future guests should know.

When booking online, the pricing can be confusing because you pay most of the amount upfront, but then you are charged an additional amount when you arrive to check in, which made it feel like I was paying almost double. I also noticed some issues with the online advertisement. It stated that free WiFi and free breakfast were included, but the WiFi quality was poor and the breakfast actually required an extra charge.

Other than those issues, the stay itself was enjoyable and the room was good. I would just recommend making the fees and included amenities more accurate online so guests know exactly what to expect before arriving.

Paid extra for a gulf view and got a sliver of ocean in the distance. Hardly a view at all besides the parking lot. Also our room was SO hot the whole time. However, we loved the hotels location and how close it was to everything. Everything in walking distance.

The pool was cloudy and had debris floating around the entire 7 days .the drinks were 15 each with no alcohol , not good at all. We’re not told about the resort fee if 35 each day. For towels , and the umbrellas on beach all extra charge :(

The best part of the stay was how kind and helpful all the staff were. Our room was clean, but could have been better like drawer handles, sides of door sanitized. Stuff left from prior guests. Fridge barely worked. Would have been nice to have water stocked in them. Large red stain on carpet. Vent had inch of dust.
We had a balcony view. I went out to watch the sunset and clean out my bag. Went in my room, and came out with the security screaming at me from next door balcony about any smoking at which I wasn't. IT was scary as you assume no one is out there when you're 7 stories up. Not sure why he was called, did new guests peek over and see my bag spilled out and assumed I was smoking, bc of ciggs and lighter?

We enjoyed our stay to the max. Except, we do like to seat on the balcony; our room was on the side where the air conditioner equipment are for the entire hotel and not only noisy but the heat coming onto the balcony was pretty bad. But everything else was perfect. Thank you

Great hotel and location! My family and I had a great stay! Pool and beach access great. Food and drink service also very good. Location in terms of shopping and eating also perfect! The only thing that was somewhat disappointing was the room location. We were on the 5th floor with a gulf view, but directly above all the air conditioners on the roof bellow. So while the view was great, the noise made it difficult to stay on the balcony for too long. However, this did not detract from my stay because I certainly did not travel to Clearwater to sit in the room! We will most definitely be back!

Been coming to this spot for at least 15 years my favorite hotel there and I don’t belive there is another hotel that has the prime location this one has. But the one thing I suggest is new beds!!! I would never want to leave this resort and stay many more days but the beds are not very comfy not really in the room a lot but hard to get moving the next day cause of some soreness from beds but other than that awesome place for family to stay everything at your fingertips

The water in the shower never got past warm and the sink for shaving as well. Not worth the money paid. The doors to the balcony would not lock. If you aren't a guest at a hotel good luck finding a place to park anywhere. There are better places to stay in Florida

Pros: being on the beach, restaurants being walking distance, beach towels provided, Christopher the drink cart bartender was super friendly, able to ask waiter/waitress to refill water bottle.
Cons: elevators not working properly, drawer for nightstand kept opening, shower water pressure not as strong, toilet running for more than 5 minutes after flushing, sheets were not as clean, property needs to be updated.

First the term \"Gulf View\" as advertised is very deceiving, I paid specifically a \"Gulf View\", not an obstructed view or a partial view but a \"Gulf View\". What we got was a partial view along with the roof top of about 10 AC units that were extremely noisy and could not sit out on the balcony for those reasons......Make sure you inquire with the hotel before booking a room

The sink was clogged and took forever to drain. The shower was pretty filthy with previous renters hairs on the shower walls.

Valet parking was a pain and find out after the fact they charge you additional costs for mandatory parking.

The gulf view overlooks the parking lot and the pool...not really worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Not worth the value and will look elsewhere for next trip.

The location was perfect! Unfortunately I got double charged at check in which locked up my card for the rest of the trip and had to get that sorted out on my vacation. The fire alarm in the room beeped the entire stay despite maintenance trying to fix it, found what looked like either old jerky or dog poop under the bed edge on the floor, along with black olives dried up. The pool was very warm, not enjoyable warm but like warm bathtub warm while it was 96 outside. It definitely needed a hose or something in it. Once leaving the hotel I got charged more for a random amount despite paying the resort fees, parking, and the hold at check in. Made my card lock up AGAIN due to it being a random fee. Overall the staff was nice and the location was key, but probably wouldn’t stay again. I’m sure I’m forgetting more.

Overall the hotel was very nice, the amenities were great, the staff were friendly. Check in was a little rough, but check out was a breeze. Cons: the air conditioner did not work very well, there was mold all over the corner of our room, and everything was incredibly expensive, especially for a resort there should be a continental breakfast. Other than those pieces the resort was gorgeous.

The hotel and staff were amazing! This was our first time staying at the Hilton on Clearwater beach. We loved that it was directly on the beach and within walking distances to all of our favorite places. The service around the pool area was fantastic as well. The hotel is very well maintained and whenever we had a question or needed something the staff was extremely helpful. We will definitely go here again!

It was long wait to check in. I made a reservation for two rooms they just have one room under my name. Had to wait even longer for second room . Check in time is 4:00 pm . We had one room at 5:45, and second one at 7:00 pm.
We enjoyed yoga on the beach . Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was very disappointed with this stay. The listing stated that the property had been recently updated, but that was not apparent during our visit. The bathroom was dirty, and overall cleanliness throughout the hotel was lacking.
The carpet in both the hallway and the room was stained and dirty, and we found hair on the floor and in the shower, which was unacceptable. The pool area was not well maintained, and the pool water was cloudy and unusually warm.
The only positive aspect of this property is its location. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the hotel did not match the description, and I would not choose to stay here again.

The room was not clean. I had to clean the bathroom myself. The toilet ran forever after each flush and no vent fan. The connecting room door didn’t close all the way so you could hear every word in the room next door. The carpet was gross. I’ve never been to a more disappointing Hilton. Paris will not be staying here and neither will I. Don’t waste your money.

The hotel was just okay, its on the older side for the price you pay. They have a lot of hidden fees. Had to pay $400 at check out for resort fees and $40 a day for parking. You pay extra for an ocean view that turns out to be over looking their AC units. The beach access was the only real highlight.

My only complaint would be that the hotel charges you $30 to rent a chair for the hotels beach which seems pretty strange when you are already paying an everyday resort fee. Also being that the hotel rooms have carpeting I found it kinda odd it was not vacuumed one time in our 5 day stay. Other than those 2 things me and my wife enjoyed our stay.

The Property was great, nice location close to lots of restaurants and shops. The beach is out the back door and pool area is nice as well. Staff was very attentive and greeted you when you sat at poolside.

Now my dislikes: we were on on 9th Floor which you think would be awesome, but it’s the top floor and you don’t have a see thru balcony, it’s a concrete wall with a small slit for a rail to sit on top of and the chairs for the balcony are so short you can’t see the beach.
You really should think about a high top chair and table for that floor since you can’t see anything.
Then the AC units are right there and they are very loud so you can’t really enjoy the beach life with the AC running constantly.
Also wifi is only for 2 people, why? Should be for all who stay.

Second there is a Service fee they charge you for…. Ok no big deal but that services fee is for a photo, bike rental two water bottles per day?? To me you’re better off giving your Hotel Guess a Discount for Chairs and Umbrella instead! Two chairs and an umbrella cost $101 from 9am-7pm which has 10% fee as well when getting them!!

To me we pay to stay at this hotel you should give a BIG discount maybe 2 chairs and umbrella for $40 a day??? That would make it more affordable for those with families that come to your resort to stay who maybe fly in and do not have these available to them.

We took the Shuttle that they recommended back to airport and William was great, on time and very informative!

Rooms are clean. Cleaning ladies are friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great. However, the front desk doesn't seem to know what they are doing. As a Hilton Gold member, we should have a credit every night. In typical Hilton hotels, the credit accumulates and is not limited to just that day. We were not informed about their policy by the front desk, and credits was gone without us knowing. Upon checking out, we were charged on fees we were not supposed to be charged. Thank God we saw it before leaving the property and they adjusted it.

Food was horrible. Tasteless.

Bathrooms near the beach are dirty. No shampoo, lotion, soap, etc. What is more ridiculous is that towels are not allowed inside.

Very embarrassing. Other than the view of the Gulf, location, and sunsets it was terrible. We had friends visiting from the Netherlands and they were so disappointed as were we. Would not stay at this location again. Staff were okay, but appeared not at all concerned about the issues we encountered. The hotel needs to be refurbished and updated. Will not recommend unless you want the access to the Gulf and sunsets. I would not recommend a stay here.

This prperty needs serious renovations and updates. Only Lobby and Ground Floor look good, the rooms are from 80s and need serious updates (especially carpets). Also when i gave my car to Valet guys ($40/day) ...next morning i had few miles more on the odometer...how if the parking is only 500 feet away from Lobby entrance?

The beds were very comfortable. We requested an ocean side room, but the room did not face the ocean. We could walk out on our deck and look around the building to see the ocean. The worst part of our stay was the loudness of the air-conditioning units. We couldn’t hear the ocean at all, which was disappointing. Paying $35 a day for amenities that were not things we would use was frustrating.

The property is right on the beach and that was great. We took the Grouper shuttle from airport to resort and could walk to restaurants. There was live music in the evening. On the downside the staff was not informative during check in about amenities. The room was dated and had old carpet. The pool was fantastic.

The room was okay, elevators were down with only 1 working causing lots of delays. We were on the 7th floor. The beaches were awesome and staff was friendly. However, they over charged me nearly $700. When I called to dispute they claimed it wasn’t them but it clearly was, so now my Credit Card company has to dispute it. So please pay close attention to all the charges.

For what I paid I was not impressed. Stayed 3 nights never had maid service. One night we were out all day in Orlando came back no maid service and at midnight had to ask for clean towels. Downstairs beach bathroom had one stall with completely broken door jam preventing door from closing and locking. Outside Tiki bar was nice but the hotel has a big white shed in the middle of your view from the tables preventing u to see the ocean let alone the sunset. Was charged a Resort fee, but for what? I feel we were charged a daily Resort fee just for use of the pool. I had to pay $40 a day for parking. If I wanted a lounge chair, I had to pay for it if I wanted an outside cover by the beach, I had to pay over $100 for the day. I went down a little ways and walked to the Hyatt where they were only charging $60 for two chairs and an umbrella.. the upstairs restaurant bar and food were very very good. I will give you that. Overall for the price and what I overall paid for three nights ( Over $1,200) it wasn’t worth it. I could’ve stayed at any other place on the beach. I think Paris Hilton would be very upset if she stayed here. Think Twice

Food at the hotel was awful, we had chips and salsa 1 day and chicken tenders the next day. Guacamole was warm, chicken was heavily breaded with cold fries.

“Daily” housekeeping isn’t daily. We had to call to request our room to be cleaned on day 3. They would start at one end of the hallway in the morning and still didn’t get to our room til their shift ended. Had to request basic necessities like toilet paper multiple times. Front desk didn’t have any toilet paper when I asked, they said they would send someone up with some. Laundry was out of soap in the dispenser. Room was gross with stains on carpet and lamp shades. Elevators constantly not working. Valet parking is only option and outrageously priced for not even covered parking. This “resort” was worse than some budget hotels. Not worth the price at all.

Dated hotel. Old furnishings and style from late 90's/early 2000's. Cleaners never cleaned our room until I asked staff, we'd come back from the beach each day late afternoon3-5ish and it still wouldn't have been cleaned. We had two adults and two kids on reservation but room had 3 towels. When I asked for them to come clean the room one afternoon and add a towel, the cleaners left a towel on the bed, but then took the other 3 and didn't replace them. Also the breakfast was mediocre at best. Wife said it was one of the blandest/worst eggs Benedict she ever had. Also I have Hilton Gold status so was confirmed we'd have a $30 food & bev credit daily. At checkout no records of this and was billed for it and had to get them to update.

Only good thing was the location/beach.

Great being right on beach with plenty of room. Front desk staff & housekeeping efficient, helpful & friendly. Rooms could use some updating. Corners of room & top of fire sprinkler could use some cleaning. Ocean view but like others commented, it overlooks air conditioning or utility equipment that’s noisy & unsightly. Shuttle to & from airport would be nice to have included for the price but is not. Overall we would stay again if doing a short beach trip!

Everything was great except for the on site restaurant. Stop serving breakfast at 11 and we arrived 1055 but that was fine. We wanted lunch anyway. They wouldn’t take our order until 11 o’clock sharp. We waited until 1115 and never got to order. Meanwhile watching birds dive bomb a table of six still with food on it from previous customers. We left and it was expensive….all else was great. Will go back, but not to the restaurant. Hotel location absolutely perfect!!!!

We only stayed one night so we didn’t get to experience the full benefits of the hotel. What we did experience was a poorly run Valet Parking but only upon arrival. After being serviced it seemed to run more smoothly.
Our room was just okay for a one night stay but extremely over priced! The carpet may have been vacuumed but was in need of a thorough steam cleaning.
The bathroom was tight with space for only one person. The bathroom faucet was so loose it swiveled when you tried to turn on the water. The sink filled up with water and drained very slowly.
The shower was the worst. No shower head adjustment for the water, only one safety handle and definitely not ADA compliant. If you’re elderly as we are, you definitely must be specific about your needs and the type room you require. This is made more difficult as you cannot connect directly with the hotel to speak with someone. All calls are directed towards bookings only. Overall, it would be unfair for us to give a thumbs down for those who prefer the Hilton but there are other hotels that offer similar benefits for a far lower price with rooms in far better condition. Albeit, if you prefer to be on the beach and money is no object, go for it.

The hotel is very dated. From the minute you get into the hotel which is very old and not clean to the minute you enter your room which is a huge disappointment especially for the price the rooms are.

Our shower floor was dingy and all stained which is gross. The toilet paper did not have a holder. The furniture is old as well. I would never stay at a Hilton again based on their standards.
