Hotel Vesuvio was wonderful!! We had a beautiful room with a balcony and doors opening to a clear view of the ocean. We also had another balcony on the side!

He went out of his way to be welcoming, offering suggestions and directions on restaurants, things to do (including the ferry to Portfino and the tram up the mountain!) and helping us with our car rental. Would love to stay here again!

The staff speaks English; they were kind and helpful. The breakfast selection was the best we had on a three week trip. Location is excellent although on a very busy street so the noise level is not peaceful. Closing the doors helps because the glass is soundproofed. The hotel is beautifully renovated although our room with balcony was tiny!

A fabulous family run hotel who welcome you with open arms. From the start, they took time to explain the sights and were always there with a smiling face to greet you in the morning and when you returned during the day. Nothing was a bother for them. They happily got us a kettle for our room and brought us milk so we could make ourselves a cuppa on our arrival late afternoon. Location is perfect. View of the sea from the balcony. Must stay here.

Property is on the waterfront with excellent views from the front rooms. Property manager is the perfect host and all staff were helpful and courteous. We visited at the beginning of the season and were greatly impressed with the hotel and surrounds. The breakfasts were excellent and coffee and drinks were available in the bar.

We were quite pleased with this hotel. Five minute walk from train. Directly across from the sea. Beautiful promenade to walk on close to many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was perfect. Hotel Vesuvio is such a gem! We stayed here in late May for our honeymoon. When we arrived staff were friendly and helpful giving us the FULL rundown on things to do in town and what to go see! The rooms are updated and modern - small but cozy most of our days were spent out and about not in the room! Clean hotel in a great central spot! The daily breakfast was perfect and delicious! We walked to portofino and back one day, great trail along the sea wall with pit stops for beaches and places to eat along the way- you can also take the ferry but the walk was about 1.5 hours with stops and breaks each way and was so beautiful. Rapallo is a beautiful town with lots of spots to eat and many things to do nearby. Highly recommend. From two Canadians who will be back!

We had a lovely corner room on the first floor overlooking the water with 2 balconies. The room was perfectly clean and looked like it had been renovated in the last year. Parking is public and a little difficult during June- but the hosts were helpful with advice and suggestions. There are several restaurants and bars around the hotel- one had a band. It was boisterous and customers were singing along and having a great time. By the time we switched off the light at midnight- the noise had died down. If you’re not a night owl- I suggest you request a higher floor away and keep the double glazed balcony doors closed. Breakfast downstairs at the hotel was lovely! A nice offering, delicious coffee and a lovely spot from which to watch the port town wake up. The hotel is across the street from the ferry to Portofino- so a perfect place from which to explore the Italian coast.

They even arranged for a DR to come to our room when we had a medical problem. My adult granddaughter and I stayed at the Vesuvio Hotel for 3 nights while visiting the Italian Riviera. The room was perfect for us…very clean, updated, roomy & comfortable with storage for suitcases & clothes, also had a small fridge. Nice sized bathroom with amenities, good a/c. This is a very nice smallish hotel in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff (english speaking), and renovated rooms. Breakfast buffet has many tasty choices. The location can be somewhat noisy at night, but the windows/balcony door insulate well. We would go to the Vesuvio again anytime.

This is a perfectly situated hotel to explore all points between Portofino and Cinque Terre. The proprietors were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It’s an extremely maintained boutique hotel. The views were wonderful from our newly decorated room. Unless you only do 5-star properties, (which I understand and frequen) I recommend this little place as your launching post to the area. Delightful town, too.

The hotel is in an excellent location, easy to walk everywhere in Rapallo, 5 minutes from the train station. It is also a 30 minute scenic walk to Santa Margherita. The restaurant next door is very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return again.

This hotel is one of the loveliest I have stayed in. The location is perfect, a five minute walk from the train station. The boat to Portofino is a two minute walk from the hotel and Cinque Terre is an easy journey on the train. There are lots of bars and restaurants locally for dinner. An extremely well run family hotel, on the waterfront close to ferry to Portofino, Santa Margherita. Rooms great size. Very clean and refurbished. My room had a balcony that looked out to sea beautiful. It was above quite a busy road but that did not worry me as when u closed the doors there was very little noise. Has aircon. Did not really want to leave. If you sre English there are no instant coffee or tea making facilities in the room.

This is a delightful hotel well situated by the sea and an easy flat 12 minute walk to the train station - so handy to get to other cities on the Ligurian coast. The ferry departs a short 3 minute walk from the hotel - be sure to arrive 30 minutes before departure in the morning as the queue can be long. The hotel is cheerfully managed by a family , clean comfortable rooms with balconies and a fine breakfast assortment. The beach options are a short walk away too.

Going to the Italian Riviera, this is the place to stay and you should stay in Rapallo. There could be a better location or people who serves your every need. I was there for two full weeks and was sad to sad to go. The owners and staff were awesome. close to ferry (across the street) and the train station a 5 min walk. You can get everywhere. Spent 5 nights here and could not have been more pleased. It's only a 5 minute stroll from the train station, so we were able to roll our luggage to the hotel with no problems. The on-site owner makes you feel welcome from the minute that you arrive and he very helpful with information about the area. The view from our balcony was magnificent, overlooking the lungomare, beach and Rapallo Harbor. The room was modern and kept very clean. The bathroom was large and totally updated (important). The breakfast (included) was excellent. We chose Rapallo because of its convenient location, transportation options, and cost-effectiveness. The town met all of our expectations. Rooms were fine, and we were happy to have a balcony with a partial sea view. However, the nearby construction with loud heavy machinery made sitting on the balcony a little less inviting. Later that evening, after 11, it was quite noisy outside our room. Heard kids playing loudly and lots of trash cans with empty bottles being disposed, both of which surprised me for the late hour. The included breakfast was wonderful. Had most of the croissants, breads, cheeses and meats which you would expect, but we were pleased to also see sweet items such as fruit tarts and pastries.

The hotel staff were amazingly helpful and the location on the sea front was perfect, although a little noisy with the balcony doors open, but very quiet when they were closed. The room was very small, but it was modern and the bed was extremely comfortable, the only slight fault was the bathroom, which was very small and showing wear and tear, the shower cubicle was slightly broken. However it all worked perfectly well and it didn't put us off, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Such a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of it all. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, the water, and bus & train stations. I'm not one for hotel breakfast because they tend to be boring but this one was 10/10. Get the fruit tart & sage focaccia, you won't regret it. Everyone was friendly and made it super easy with the language barrier. Rooms are small but look at where you are, you're only in the room to sleep & shower so who cares!
