Everyone that works here are friendly and humble. They helped me book my excursions and kept me updated. The rooms are clean and has this old historic vibe. After a long day of soaking in the culture, you can enjoy their new bed and pillows! I’ve stayed at $600 a night rooms and these beds are more comfortable- you will have a good nights rest for sure. Overall, I lived this place, they make you feel at home and it’s very personal. It’s family owned and they make you feel welcomed, perfect stay!

Located in a central area, very close to Egyptian museum, Cairo tower. There are varieties of dining options nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room/bathroom equipped with necessary items including AC, hair dryer and iron. Breakfast good and more than enough. Special thanks to manager who arranged dinner cruise at last minute, when my original booking was cancelled. Overall, highly recommend.

Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay here. We booked the penthouse, it came with 3 room and we were able to fully lock the space so it felt very safe. To anyone looking to purchase tickets for excursion, I would recommend negotiating with the hotel staff as they might tire to upsell you tickets. Also note, the hotel itself does not have an elevator so no wheelchair accessibility.

The building is ancient. No lift. No deep cleaning was ever made. The balcony was dusty like it had never been cleaned in ages. Also, the entrance is filthy and neglected. Poor breakfast. However, The beds and pillows were comfy—good cooling AC. Hot water is available all the time. The staff are nice and helpful.

I like the hotel overall, but there was an annoying point. at check in, the person who was there to check us in kept on insisting to go to this souvenir shop, that we were going to get a discount because we are staying there. the insisting was too much that we agreed to go after leaving our luggage in the room. We didn't want to get any souvenirs yet, as we were barely arriving at Egypt less than an hour ago. he kept reminding us about the shop every time we walked by the lobby, it was very annoying that we decided to cancel another reservation we made for 1 night for the following week and went to stay in the New Cairo area.

The room was not very well maintained and the carpet needs to be replaced. Curtains also need to changed or washed. Another disappointment was that the Cairo Inn didn’t have an elevator but the staff is very attentive to make sure to help. Very nice staff in particular Joseph Nathan went above and beyond to help us in anyway.

The Cairo Inn offers a unique bed and breakfast experience in the center of Cairo. It was a home built 200 years ago and converted to a hotel 15 years ago. The room was small, the bathroom very modern, and simple breakfast provided. The only hardship due to my husbands health issues is our room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The staff are very helpful in all ways to meet your needs. Highly recommend for an authentic experience only a 5 minute walk to the Egyptian museum.

The bottom floor seemed like it was under construction. The reception desk is on the second floor. Our room was on the third floor. Lots of stairs/no elevators. The best part was our balcony, which overlooked a very busy street. That was entertaining. There is no restaurant on site-which was advertised on Expedia. Which was disappointing as it is very intimidating and frustrating to try and cross a busy Cairo street in search of a restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is very basic-hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, bread and cheese. My bestie is Vegan and the breakfast they brought to us was full of animal product. The staff member ran to the store and got us fruit bowls from the market next door. That was very appreciated.

The manager Joseph was very kind and welcoming when I stayed. Although he did offer some tours that seemed to be great deals, these weren’t organized by legitimate tour services and rather guys that I would consider random drivers. The outside looks rundown while there is not elevator in the building, but they do serve you breakfast each morning. The room was in good shape but the windows have absolutely zero sound proofing, which is unfortunate because the hotel is located in a very busy area that gets very loud.

For the price, this is a decent inn. The staff is attentive’ friendly, however the open roof in the staircase when it rains is a real health concern. Also the “valet” parking staff begs for tips when it clearly states that parking is included in the quoted price. I found this aggravating. On a good note, the hot water gif showers is amazing as is the balcony. The beds/pillows are not comfortable but you get what you pay for. I didn’t mind the sound of car horns throughout the night but if you are looking for a quiet night this may not be the room for you. I personally enjoyed the bustle of downtown Cairo.

No welcome drink, no restaurant, no shuttle, mold in the bathroom, beautiful old building but the lower areas were in ruins. Promised a taxi to get from the airport given flight times did not happen first excuse they had me coming in at night, second excuse the taxi broke down on the way. Extremely noisy but that was due to location.

Fabulous stay at the Cairo Inn. I was traveling solo from NYC & this would have been my 1st time in Egypt.

Everyone at the hotel was great. Eid from the Inn was beyond awesome, he’d message me on WhatsApp a few days after my reservation to introduce himself, asked if I had questions & so forth.

I’d stayed here from March 15th - 19th 2021 and enjoyed my stay. The Inn is located in the heart of Cairo & walking distance to all the restaurants, cafes, bazaars and Egyptian museum.

Eid also helped me with putting an affordable tour package together. Cairo Inn has a simple yet convenient style & it’s COVID friendly.

Always feeling welcome at Cairo Inn

It is always a pleasure to come back to Cairo Inn. The receptionists are very friendly people who have been there for years. The rooms (the building is a century old) have been upgraded over the years though still retain the old spirit. Most importantly the beds are big and good. Plenty of hot water.
As there are only 8 rooms a specially designated area for having breakfast is not available. There are sofas and tables in the office and the reception or when weather permits on the balcony or you can take the breakfast in your room.
Breakfast is all right with cereals, egg, soft rolls, cheese and marmalade, tea or coffee. An improvement could be the choice of an omelet and toast bread

Hotel is centrly located, so location wise is good.. But its an OK place to stay, as the condition of the hotel and the rooms is not great.. Staff is chattery and helpful but trying to upsell package tours.. Which are expensive and can be done at less than half of the price if you do by your own. Also there are no balcony to the rooms.

We booked a deluxe triple room with a city view about 2 months ago. Room was confirmed with Eid who took his time to TEXT me on whatsapp asking me if I need any tours or pick ups. Upon arrival we were told that we won’t be getting a room at the Cairo Inn but at their partner hotel which turned out to be a run down HOSTEL with the entrance on a dark alley with a bunch of men smoking their hookahs...Since my husband and I traveled with our 15 year old daughter you can imagine our horror as we were expecting a chic boutique hotel. This was a terrifying experience and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I’m positive that there’s some kind if a scam going on because no reputable hotel would ever do anything like that. Absolutely disgusting.

We really enjoyed our stay in cairo inn and the hotel located in the center of the heart of downtown and beds was really comfortable and the room get cleaned every day with the house keeping and we used their tour desk for our tour in Giza pyramids was really enjoyable and we reserved our rest of the tour to Luxor and Aswan and also was really enjoyable. Also we liked our view from the room facing the most famous square in cairo. And the best really was the WIFI was really fast and helped us to connect with our family back home easy and clear. During my visit to Cairo I had decided to stay at the Cairo inn. My flight arrived at 3am 8 hours before my check in time I went to the hotel hoping they could help the man at the front desk Eid told me I could stay on a couch in there office until check in about eight in the morning Eid brought in some of the local fruit for me. My room was very clean and very charming I had a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the square. I found the hospitality of the front desk Eid and Joseph very exceptional throughout my stay my trip was only enhanced by staying at the Cairo

The staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly. The location is very safe and convenient. The atmosphere that the marble tiles give really add a special feel. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I'll also mention the great antique building. Cairo inn is very clean, bed and pillows are comfortable with beautiful bedding. Ice cold bottles of water always available. Welcoming attitude. Honest with costs regarding tours and services, which were offered without the usual high-pressure sales tactics so common in Egypt. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. He also speaks perfect English. booked a private English guide and a car to go to Saqqara, Memphis, and Giza. Perfectly organised and a decent price! The pictures are very deceiving.it looks like the hotel is the entire building, but it was only one floor with 7rooms. We started our stay greeted by cats chasing mice on the main floor, which was very dirty. There was no elevator and no help with carrying our luggage up the broken stairs. DO NOT book tours through the hotel, as they are only trying to get your money, which they don’t tell you about up front. Very Shady! There was no “free” shuttle service provided to the airport, we had to pay when requesting. The breakfast was only a boiled egg, small box of cereal and yogurt. We had to ask the night for juice, which we didn’t even get one of the mornings. We had eat in our room on the bed.the balcony in the photo is a part of their office space. Very disappointed in our stay, definitely won’t be staying here again. The only good thing, other than the location, was the service staff, she made we had a comfortable stay.

Over priced for this stay. Good service. Hotel associates are friendly and accommodating. They did everything possible to make our stay comfor table. Breakfast was not worth it: very bad. There was no designated eating area in the hotel. We paid for breakfast but opted to get our meals outside. They don't serve breakfast unless asked for it. Eat it inside the room.
We booked a dinner nile cruise through hotel. We were taken care of: driver was puntual and polite. No hazzle.
Shower needs work: it leaked badly.
Location is great. In the middle if everything.

MR EID OWNER WAS VERY MUCH HELPFUL, HE GUIDED US VERY WELL, HE HELPED US AND ARRANGED RENTAL CAR FOR ALEXANDERIA, HE ARRANGED VEGETARIAN BREAKFAST FOR US. HE WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR GUIDING US WHICH IS VERY MUCH NEEDED WHEN YOU ARE VISITING DIFFERENT COUNTRY, THEIR GUIDANCE HAS HELPED ME A LOT. We stayed at the Cairo Inn 2x - at the beginning and end of our trip. The location is great - walkable to the Egyptian museum and that’s why I booked there. The staff were fabulous - anything we needed they assisted with - especially booking taxis and ordering dinner in for us. They serve a great breakfast and if you’re interested in getting suggestions to do stuff, they know who to contact. The location is in a busy local shopping area that comes alive at night and they have a balcony that you can sit on overlooking that busy roundabout. The couple of negatives were... the steep steps (hauling your luggage) that go up and in the rooms, random things fall off the wall! Lol I.e. towel racks or bathroom door handles. This was no big deal...kinda funny really...but be prepared for this. I’d highly recommend this hotel for convenience, service and safety!

I can highly recommend the Cairo Inn -- it is in an ideal location, right downtown just a few blocks from Tahrir Square, in a classic building with old-world architecture. The staff was very attentive, and able to arrange drivers to aid in the sightseeing excursions you will inevitably want to make. A special thank-you to Hosni -- an attentive guide and an excellent driver (and that is saying something in Cairo).

Cairo Inn is a modest establishment that ticks all the boxes when you are on holiday and wish to explore Cairo's Belle Époque neighbourhoods. Front desk stuff were helpful and attentive, although the day trip to the pyramids I booked through them was very average. The hotel's main attraction is the building itself, once grand but now crumbling.

I had money and jewelry stolen

This would have been an okay hotel--airport pick-up, friendly staff, great location--but I had over $300 in currency and a couple hundred dollars in jewelry stolen from a secured bag in my room. The money and jewelry were well enough secured that whoever stole them must have taken a lot of time to go through my bags--even though we'd said the room didn't need cleaned. The money and jewelry went missing the day before we checked out. In other words, too close to my departure to do much follow-up.
I brought the loss of my money to the attention of the desk clerk and owner (I didn't realize I'd had jewelry stolen until later). They brought in the housecleaners who looked through my bag and the room, then declared that I must have forgotten I'd spent the money. The circumstances were such that I have to conclude the theft was an inside job.
On the basis of my experience, I'd recommend against staying at this hotel.

Very good bed, extremely clean and spaceous rooms. Well located in Talaat Harb Square and Metro.
But best of all was the wonderful and caring service. Everyone is extremely helpful and kind. Bahaa, the owner is a very knowledable tourguide.
Even if je doesn‘t guide you , he helps you if you need to arrange a tour.
My advice: book the Airport pickup and Tours from him. He is reliable and knowledable.
The bed was more comfortable than 5-star hotels I have stayed in. Costa Coffee is just one block away.
If I come back to Cairo, I will book this hotel again.

The whole hotel is luxury, I feel like a warm home, clean, and lovely. Location is good, in downtown area, . If you want to experience local life instead of luxury 5/6 star hotel's lifestyle, then I strongly recommend this one.
Breakfast was nice, I liked the mango juice (I hope to have the second bottle, but was too full to drink more lol).
P.S. I really like the building's classical style, the most interesting thing .

Central Location But Beware The Owner

The owner takes you to his 'bazaar' around the corner to try to sell you perfumes and papyrus. The tour to the pyramids organised through the hotel actually delivers you into the hands of hawkers selling rides on horses and camels. A nightmare. Not to be trusted.

Best location with most comfortable bed

Really had a good stay with fantastic view over the city . Room is great with high speed WiFi .
Thank you Mr Bahaa for take care of my tour requests the guide was perfect with a lot of information and recommendation of good Egyptian restaurant . Sure I will be back again

The staff truly make this place great.

I went to Egypt alone, (experienced traveller, but first time in Egypt) which could be a potentially nerve wracking situation for a female traveller.
I looked at several hotels, and decided Cairo Inn looked good, not too expensive, good location, clean and no bad reviews.
The service was really phenomenal, above and beyond what I've experienced in the past. The hotel contacted me via email right after booking, and greeted me, also asking if I would need anything, including tours or car. -I felt at ease right away with this personal greeting, which you generally won't get when booking with Expedia, or Kayak or like sites.
Mr. Eid, the manager at Cairo Inn, contacted me promptly after I requested info on tours, airport pickup, car, etc. He was extremely nice, intelligent, a great English speaker and accommodating. He took a lot of time explaining all of the possibilities and he helped me make decisions as to where I would go and when during my visit--This was really key, since I really wasn't sure what was a must-see and what could be passed on. The program that he put together was truly fantastic. It went off without a hitch, and he anticipated needs that I didn't realize I would have. The level of personal service from Mr. Eid was worth way more than I wound up paying for the tour program. I felt safe, had great fun, and was met with friendly and prompt guides and drivers. I really can't say enough about my experience here. Mr Eid is fantastic, and I loved my stay here!

Overall my two friends and I had a really good stay in Cairo Inn.

Biggest positives:
Friendly and knowledgeable hotel staff who speak perfect English.
Very good WiFi.
Brilliant location, a 10 minute walk from Tahrir Square.
Nice balcony (but not in the room, it is communal).

Biggest Negatives:
Room cleanliness could be improved, especially the bathroom.
The \"Continental\" breakfast is quite poor, some bread and cereal.
One of the beds in our room was broken.

Cairo Inn Downtown Cairo

I enjoyed my stay at Cairo Inn. The hotel was very conveniently located in Downtown Cairo close shops and food places. The staff was very helpful and Mr Eid Alaam provided good tours at reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I am happy with my stay at the Cairo Inn. The room was small, but comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Eid and Joseph were excellent front desk staff.

Perfect location very clean

Really had a good time definitely recommended .very clean and beds was very comfortable with fast WIFI .they are always doing their best for assisting you with your needs.
I arranged some tours through their hotel tour Deak and was really enjoyable with a good price
Pyramid tour was amazing .

Very dirty, terrible shower. Hotel staff just wants to sell you tours. Super dirty entrance. Spend more on the next hotel up.

There was no soap and shampoos. Bed sheet , bed and pillows cover were dirty. There was no arrangement for hanging clothes in one sentence all were bad.

Functional hotel close to museum,restaurants, shop

Hotel and surrounding restaurants,shops and travel agencies had good people. Not the case with hotel arranged 'Giza tour' with 'mr Hosking'Skims your spending all day, takes you to a lunch that is less than average but costs you the earth (and uses your confusion with currency to take your money),then asks for a tip at end of tour.
Don't take.!!!

The rooms were dirty and in serious need of an upgrade. Shower with old hair and grime in the corners. Rug and curtains filthy. Most of staff very unfriendly after we declined their tour. Very overpriced. Location good

Excellent Choice in Vibrant Cairo

Obviously the number of hotels and hostels in/around Cairo can be overwhelming so I somewhat randomly chose this one based on location, ratings, price and aesthetic...to put it lightly, it turned out WONDERFULLY. The rooms were quaint yet clean/modern, the proximity to excellent/authentic restaurants was a huge plus, and the staff member who personalized my tour trips (Allam) was always looking out for me and my well being (both in pricing, logistics and transportation, etc.). He especially made me feel welcome as if my stay was more like joining a family than simply sleeping in a bed at night.

Our stay at Cairo inn was amazing. Its location is excellent, walkable to the nile and egyptian museum. Has a beautiful balcony overlooking a circle with nice buildings and activity around. Rooms are large and comfortable, clean bathrooms. The staff is very helpful. Eid especially is very friendly and thoughtful, and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for budget travelers.

Excellent spot

Had really amazing time and be sure you aske for a room facing the city center square . Room was really comfy and get clean daily .
Wifi was really speedy and no complain.
Breakfast was basic but good enough but u can ask for more if u need it the staff very helpful and always there for you .
Transport from airport was gray got arrange it by hotel management . Sure we will be back

Stayed there 2 nights. At first was offered a choice of a large room and necessity to change for the 2nd night or a smaller room right behind the reception. I took the second. It was a mistake.
The rooms no1 and 2 are the very noisy option. Also rooms facing Taalat Sq. are noisy but with a set of good ear plugs, closed windows, A/C on sleep mode it is fine. The rooms are pleasant old world charm but a bit worn out with many layers of grim paint applied carelessly. There is a small fridge in the room, and a flat screen TV. The hair drier is supplied on demand. My problem were bed sheets. They were heavy patterned darkish drape type fabric. I wasn't quite sure if they were washed but, I was assured by the staff that of course they were. White or light colour would be better proof of that. The staff/ receptionist was a very nice accommodating young fellow. The hotel location is a special bonus. Walking distance to Egyptian Museum and many other attractions.

Decent budget option in Downtown Cairo

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. The location is very convenient with close proximity to some of the major sites. The Air Con was strong, the breakfast was substantial enough to get you started in the morning (coffee, jam and cheese with a few rolls, nothing fancy but decent) and the price is competitive on a per night basis with other hotels of similar caliber. Some staff were genuinely helpful providing prices we should expect to pay for a taxi to certain destinations, although this was not consistent. This intersection is incredibly noisy so light sleepers should bring ear plugs. The taxi ride to/from the airport you will be offered is way overpriced. More questionable was the booked trip we made through the hotel for our trip to Giza. While the driver was helpful for most of the trip, we were taken to \"friends\" of his in Giza for a camel ride. Everything went well until the final bill came along and they tried to pull the classic \"no the price we gave you was per person, not for everyone\". Our driver (essentially associated with the hotel) was not supportive of us at all and encouraged us to give money to the owner of the business who was attempting to extort us and even supported his version of the events. We threatened to go to the tourist police about 5 times and eventually escaped the whole incident with a vicious Arabic curse yelled at us in a very threatening manner. This was all rather confusing for our 4 and 6 year old children. Avoid this hotel's tours

Comfortable and convenient

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel but would have enjoyed it even more If I didn't have a room that overlooks the busy, noisy square. Smoking is permitted throughout this hotel so if you don't mind that then you will find it comfortable - otherwise look elsewhere. The staff here are great and very helpful. Watch for the touts that work the square.

Good for this price

I got this hotel in $26 USD. The staff was helpful. They have broken shower and mirror was placed in a bad location. The floor of rooms was terminal and needs repair. Not very clean if that is your preference but it's conveniently located.

Cute hotel with a fantastic location in Old Cairo. The rooms were clean by Egyptian standards and very comfortable, The staff were amazing--helpful about everything. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed ourselves. The only problem is the noise from the street if you are in a front room. i believe that could have been eliminated by turning on the AC but it didn't bother me enough to get up and do it.

Perfect location. Talaat Harb Street is full of life. Good restaurants close by. The best shwarma in town is at Kazas, a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Yes, the hotel is basic and a little tired, but you can't beat the price. And besides, who comes to Cairo to stay in the hotel room???
