Quinta da Veiga is located on the Douro River's right bank near the Ferrão train station, nestled between Régua and Pinhão. Characterized by schist slopes with excellent sun exposure at an altitude of 170m-220m, this area, known as Veiga do Donelo, was once comprised of smallholdings dating back to the 16th century.
Today, it forms a single property: Quinta da Veiga, a winery producing Port and Douro wines. Situated within the Douro World Heritage area, this 50-hectare estate has been converted into a charming manor house offering Turismo de Habitação (country tourism).
The main house features seven comfortable and stylish double rooms. The restoration of this elegant farmhouse carefully preserved the original architecture and materials, maintaining its traditional character.
When you stay at Quinta da Veiga in Sabrosa, you'll be 5 minutes by foot from Duoro River. This country house is 8.9 mi (14.3 km) from Quinta de La Rosa and 10.4 mi (16.7 km) from Quinta do Bomfim.

A stunning view of the Douro valley. We had an excellent dinner. One needs to make reservations beforehand to eat there. There is nowhere else in the area to dine. We were not given a dinner option however, the roast beef dinner was excellent as well as the dessert.
The car ride up is a bit sketchy because it’s a VERY narrow to lane road winding up a Mt !! However the view makes the trip most worthwhile. Bedroom was nicely decorated and comfy.

Everything was amazing except for the bed which was horrible. Food and service was excellent but the bed kept me from getting a good sleep. Loved the decor!!

We stayed 3 nights, wanting to know more about the Alto Douro Valley region. The guesthouse is well situated and well maintained. All rooms face the river. A simple \"buffet\" is included. If you don't want to go back to the other places for dinner, you can't order it in advance from the hotel, they will cook you a delicious 3 course dinner with 3 wines(!!) for a grand sum of €35. Worth it!

Sleepy hotel with poor service in a remote village
The views are amazing, and so is the pool. But we struggled to find staff to check in and any time thereafter. It was a bit creepy because no one could be found to provide service. It's very remote and the closest vineyard (quinta) is a 45-minute walk away. The food they served at dinner was not great, but the wine and port were delicious and plentiful. Only consider this place if you are looking for a completely restful few days with your partner.

Far away hotel
Very remote hotel in a Quinta - a long windy mountainous road from Pinhao with the last kilometre one way only and precipitous on one side. Fortunately we met nothing coming the other way, Estate house is fine with a wonderful Chinese collection of antique furniture and chinoiseries. However food was rather poor. One of our two beds had bugs in it and my wife was very badly bitten (about 20 bites).

Stunning views from our window and wonderful building. Breakfast simple but adequate. We had the evening meal which was delicious. As the quinta is set in its own vineyard the free flowing wine that came with the meal was very much appreciated as was the delicious port wine. Our room was simple but had all we desired.

Hard to find even with gps, but once there it is like staying with family you love. Great service, great views of douro valley vineyards, invigoraring walks thru the vineyards, on site wine tastings of da veiga wines were excellent, and each room had river view. Most excellent experience for 5 days!!

Not as difficult to find as other reviewers had suggested. It is off the beaten track but at least you feel you are in \"real\" Portugal. Stunning views from our window and wonderful building. However, food was good and once again of local tradition. As the quinta is set in its own vineyard the free flowing wine that came with the meal was very much appreciated as was the delicious port wine.

Great peaceful break
A totally amazing and unique experience, Quinta de Veiga is a real diamond in the Douro Valley. Andre runs a very relaxed boutique hotel. Food was great, private pool, breathtaking views of the river from all over the estate. Safe and exclusive, I can't recommend this place enough. Tranquil heaven, I did not want to leave.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans l’hébergement et ce fut superbe. En premier la vue et le cadre !! Vraiment incroyable, et puis l’accueil de Bijai est parfait . Même avec un anglais moyen nous avons pu bien discutez avec lui et les autres clients de l’hôtel lors des dîners du soir.

Værre var det med værten, der var hyret ind i sommersæsonen. Han havde ingen kompetencer i at drive stedet. Han serverede the-vand med kaffegrums og smør ,der var smeltet til olie uden at han syntes, at det var et problem. Han anvendte toilettet uden efterfølgende håndvask for derefter at anrette ost mv. uden brug af handsker. Det var lige spændende nok.
Deres aftensmad var simpel men der var masser af vin fra værten, der anvendte hele glassets størrelse.

Francesco hat uns nett begrüßt. Wir wurden jeden Abend speziell bekocht, da wir nicht so viel essen wollten. Preis Leistung passt! Für alle, die ein paar Tage Auszeit wollen ist es hier perfekt!

Het is een avontuur om de Quinta te bereiken. Vooral tijdens de laatste 500 meter wil Je geen tegenligger tegenkomen 😃. Vlotte check-in, propere kamer, uitgebreid ontbijt. Avondmaal (3-gangemenu) aan €35pp. Was niet mogelijk op zondag omdat de kokkin afwezig was die dag. In de buurt heb je maar 1 andere optie: Quinta Nova, maar dat is een sterrenrestaurant. Je moet al minimum een halfuur rijden om iets anders te vinden. Zwembad met uitzicht is zalig. Ondanks de stofzuiger in het water, wordt het water snel vuil.

Accueil impeccable. Personnel gentil, souriant et disponible. La nourriture est excellente. Avec la piscine en.plus c'est un plus! Cependant si vous arrivez tard en fin de journée, prévoyez vous apporter un repas pour le soir. Il faut réserver d'avance pour dîner le soir à la quinta. Sinon vous serez obligé de reprendre la route silloneuse pour allez au resto ou vous approvisionner.

Hotel de charme raffiné dans un environnement ultra calme. Le lieu est tellement apaisant que même les autres clients de l'hôtel s'efforcent de faire le moindre bruit possible.
La décoration est un mélange de meubles de famille de la propriétaire et de meubles en provenance de Macao. Les draps et les serviettes sont monogramés.
Nous y avons séjourné 3 nuits et étions tristes de partir.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et climatisées.
Le repas du soir est servi dans la salle à manger avec nappe blanche et meubles d'époque. Délicieuse cuisine de famille. Si le menu ne vous plait pas , on se met en 4 pour trouver un autre plat à votre goût. 25 € le repas ( entrée, plat, dessert) très copieux, vin à volonté et porto en digestif offert. Tout est très raisonnable.

Siisti ja persoonallinen. Ei suuri viinitila, mutta sopii viinien ystäville. Palvelu herttaista ja erittäin ystävällistä, tosin välillä henkilökuntaa sai etsiä (pääsääntöisesti vain yksi työntekijä). Uima-allasta ei huollettu ja pienellä panostuksella hotellista saisi varmasti vielä idyllisemmän ja viihtyisämmän. Suositellaan rauhaa etsivälle, jollaon auto.

Super hôtel calme avec un point de vue exceptionnel. C’est un petit Quinta calme (4 ou 5 chambres seulement), très bien entretenu avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Le personnel est très gentil, le vin est abordable et il y a possibilité d’y souper. La piscine est à couper le souffle.

Endroit retiré à 25 minutes de Pinhao par une petite route superbe. Hôtel de charme avec très belle décoration dans les pièces communes. Ambiance \"cosy\". Les extérieurs offrent une vue magnifique sur le fleuve et les vignobles. Les lits jumeaux sont très étroits et la vue de certaines chambres est limitée par une petite fenêtre. Les chambres sont mal insonorisées.

A pesar de estar ubicado en un sitio privilegiado, con vistas impresionantes a los viñedos, el hotel está muy abandonado. El mobiliario está muy descuidado pero lo peor, e increíble, es que una sola chica se encarga de todo: recepción, cocina, mesera, limpieza, todo! El resultado es el lógico: ninguna atención, ni servicio. Total decadencia!
