This place is spectacular. The view is incredible and the rooms are beautiful. The hosts were very communicative and helped with our questions. Loved the complimentary snacks. I only stayed overnight and wish I could have enjoyed it more.
Just fyi, there is nothing walkable. You have to drive at least 7-8 minutes to get to town.

This was the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the Almond suite and it was gorgeous. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel right at home. The space is beautiful, the bed was so Comfortable, very clean and quiet. You look out and are surrounded by vineyards. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The restaurant was closed the night we arrived (Sunday) but I wish we could have tasted the food here since the breakfast was amazing. The hosts helped us with dinner reservations and gave great suggestions for wineries to visit. 11/10 place to stay. Would highly reccomend!

Our stay was amazing! The house manager and owner makes sure that you are taken care of! From the moment we walked in to dinner to our room, everything felt detailed and customer to our needs. I definitely recommend staying here. The hotel itself is only a 6 minute drive from the restaurants and shops around the river, great location.

Hidden gem! We stayed in the Almond Suite for one night and had an incredible experience. The room and the entire property were so stylish, clean and photogenic. The views from the room at sunrise were worth waking up early for. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic, and we really appreciated the personalization and the hospitality of the staff. I would highly recommend staying here on a trip to Douro Valley.

A Memorable Stay

Antonio (Tony) greeted our party (4 guests) with a smile and attended to our needs throughout our stay. The experience was unique and personalized. One couple stayed in the “Almond” room with spectacular views of the Douro River and valley. The room was extremely clean and allowed us to sit and admire the tranquil views and gorgeous sunrise. In addition, both couples enjoyed the outdoor sitting area to
view the river while drinking wine from the collection of wines provided for an additional cost. Before dinner, the lounge room allowed us to further view out from the expansive picturesque window at dusk.
The meals for breakfast and dinner were prepared well and delicious. The chef created meals to cater to various palates. Tony’s service was professional and helpful. Overall, the three bedroom house was clean, organized, and beautiful. A definite location to visit and experience. It was an exceptional and we highly recommend staying at Casa do Arco.

This is a beautiful 3 room guesthouse. Anna, the proprietress, greeted us and even let us check in a bit early. They were very solicitous and welcoming of our 5 year old. They made sure he had kid's cereal for breakfast, and made him a special kid's meal for dinner. It was his birthday, so they very kindly made him a birthday brownie and made him feel special. Everything about this property is stunning. Would highly recommend staying here along with having dinner on site.

I would give this property 6 stars if I could. Book this for your stay in Douro! They accommodated early check in, greeted us with Port and upgraded our room. Their staff assisted us with reservations to wineries, local restaurants and viewpoints. The property is incredible and you feel right at home. The breakfast is amazing and they are so attentive. It was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at and will be telling all of our friends to stay here when in this area.

An amazing experience! It is a paradise less than 2 hours drive from the city of Porto. 5 nights stay with my family in this beautiful, quiet and serene setting. The house is modern, with a blessed view from the mountain towards Pinhão and the Douro River. The staff and the owners were impeccable to our needs, delicious breakfasts, all the windows have a beautiful view to The Valley. The pool and grounds are very well kept. We had a delicious dinner wiith wine pairing in the premise one of the nights, which I highly recommend. Reservation is required. We rented a car so all the wineries, restaurants and the little towns around Pinhão were 10-20 minutes drive from the hotel. I am looking forward to stay here again next time that I come to visit Porto.

The property has great views of the Douro. Our room was very comfortable with a big picture window with a phenomenal view of the valley. Marco,Ana, Gi and Katerina were very attentive to our needs and even though the restaurant was closed on Monday provided a tasty dinner in a box. Breakfast was substantial and a good selection of local produce offered.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Casa do Arco. From the moment my mother and I arrived, we were greeted with a warm and hospitable welcome that made us feel right at home. As other reviews mentioned, you need to experience the dinner. The owner went above and beyond to craft a personalized experience that was nothing short of exceptional. The food was simply divine, and the presentation was equally remarkable. A fun point during the dinner was being able to chat with the other guests. It felt genuine and refreshing to connect with people from around the world and share that moment together.

As for the suite, it was everything we could have wanted and more - luxurious, tasteful, and carefully designed with attention to every detail. One of my favorite memories from the stay was gazing at the stars at night through the large floor to ceiling window. It was the most peaceful way to fall asleep.

The level of care and attention didn't stop there - private transfers in luxurious Mercedes Benz cars ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip. The transfer company itself was impressive and knew the owner and hotel manager extremely well, making us feel comfortable and confident.

The location itself was perfect - close enough to the town for convenience, yet set amidst the serene and beautiful Douro Valley. The true Douro Valley, by the way.

If you’re looking for something intimate and sophisticated, this is it.

What an incredible place! Words and pictures can not do justice to the uniqueness and beauty of this hotel. With only three rooms on the premise, we the guests had a certain sense of home away from home as soon as we stepped on the property; Almost every window in this hotel has breadmaking view to melt you away. I also strongly urge the guests to at least try one dinner on site. Food is delicious but the service is even better. If this is your first time in Duoro Valley, please stay here. For the only bad thing is when you have to pack and leave.

My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was a dream. I live in Portugal, and this is the best service I've had in the entire country.

The hotel itself is small - there are only three rooms - which is fantastic, as you don't feel like just another guest. If anything, when you go downstairs for breakfast, it feels like you are home. The staff are universally friendly and all speak many languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Silvia in particular was incredible.

I called ahead, and they organized flowers and champagne for the room when we arrived. When the room we were given didn't have the view I expected from the photos here (two rooms have the view of the valley, and one to the east), they upgraded us without hesitation to their best room, since it was free. The whole hotel is extremely well designed - homey but modern. They have contacts seemingly at every attraction, vineyard, and restaurant, and were able to call for us to schedule things - even when the public phone numbers weren't working.

They have straight five star reviews for a reason. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing and very cosy hotel.
It only has 3 rooms but that is the charme of this hotel.
In return you have a very relaxed morning with a good breakfast.
They use fresh ingredients for the breakfast and they don't use sugar.
The thing I liked the most (and I think that is also the nr1 reason to book here) is the amazing view over the Douro valley.
Marco and his wife Ana are very friendly and helpful. They also offer a great full day tour in the Douro valley with amazing lunch!
I would recommend this to establishment to everybody!
