The property is tired and needs repairing. The bathroom shower/tub faucet is held together with caulk. They don’t offer their guest anything without there being a cost not even a bottle of water. They know most are not repeat customers and it shows. Pretty lobby.

The hotel lobby sure looks much better than our room. The room was dark and gloomy. Only 1 plug that we can use and it’s located in the bathroom! The water from the toilet run constantly all night. The smell inside the room surly can tell this is an old building. Good for quick one night stay but no for long stay.

The hotel was well appointed and the staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived after a stressful day of trying to navigate the train system, so it was nice to be received with open arms. Our room was spacious, unlike some of our other European destinations. Overall, the hotel was well maintained and comfortable.

We got a really good deal for 2 nights pre cruise... the hotel is in a perfect location to the train station and port.
The hotel room was comfortable although it is a bit run down and was designed for someone in a wheelchair. We had to remove shower head to wash as it was do low down.
The safe was broken and we could not use.
Apart from that the staff were super helpful and friendly.
We did not use the restaurant as plenty of eating places close to hotel.
I would still book this hotel pre cruise for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Location was perfect. Directly across from a beautiful beach and minutes from the Cruise dock. Hotel is dated but clean. First floor rooms were had stairs so if you have any mobility issues please advise them. The staff are amazing, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very convenient to have it right in the hotel. The hotel also has a nice bar but we didn’t use it because there are many restaurants and bars nearby with outdoor areas.

This hotel is in a perfect location if you are just visiting the town, leaving on a cruise or returning from a cruise. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself was clean and the staff really friendly and helpful. The decor was dated but not terribly it was perfect for our one night stay post cruise. The beach directly across from the hotel is beautiful. The room has air conditioning which was great and breakfast was delicious.

Honestly didnt know we had a fridge because its not listed in the room description. Also, in my opinion, breakfast was not worth 40€ (10 p/person, even children). Honestly got it out of convenience, which im sure most people do.

Le personnel d’accueil refuse de contacter un taxi pour que nous puissions nous rendre au port. Établissement qui ne ressemble pas aux photos. Assez miteux malgré le prix. Salle de bain qui date malpropre ça n’inspire pas confiance. On dirait qu’il n’y avait pas de matelas sur le lit mais seulement un box. Pour la propreté en général on repassera.
Points positifs: très bonne climatisation et l’hôtel est tres bien situé.

The hotel is ideally located close to the cruise ship port which was a key selling point. It was also central to local eateries and shopping which was also very nice. We could walk everywhere. My only real negative was the elevator, the climate control, no iron or ironing board, and thr challenge with coordinating transportation to the port or the airport in Rome. Its difficult and pricey. If I had it to do over, I think I would have gone with something in Rome, something with more modern features.

An old hotel that some would say is full of charm but the peeling pant in main lobby and corridors and dark dated creaky bedrooms are indeed in need of attention. Its great location and additional add ins for cruise transfer were welcomed.

Room, had upper level ( loft) with winding stairs to get to bed. Bed was just alright.
Room, very noisy, on side street, overlooking garbage cans, etc. The noise did quiet down after midnight.
No shower as such, large tub with had held shower only, that did not hang on wall. It was not a great shower at all.
Room was clean. Pillows were thick and hard.
I would not recommend and would not stay again.
We are not hard to please people at all, but do expect basic amenities like a shower.
A few more plus in Room as well would have been nice.

The room has a serious health concern. There was an extremely strong mold and mildew smell throughout the room — so strong that even two days after checking out, my pajamas still carried the odor.

The environment felt damp and unclean, to the point where we did not even want to touch many of the surfaces in the room. It honestly felt more like a neglected roadside motel than a properly maintained hotel room.

They can, and do get away with alot because this is the perfect location. Breakfast is ok, but for $10... It is just fine, needs a potato. The shuttle is a great perk.
It really is lipstick on a pig though.a literal hole in the wall to make room for the door swing. Half the outlet covers fall off the wall. The bed is slightly more comfortable than concrete. They really do not pay attention to any of the basic things. No chance I would return, even with the ideal location. It would take very little.to make this a great hotel. Poorly managed

Everyone from the driver that picked us up from the airport to the hotel staff was so nice and helpful. They all went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for our stay. They all went hotel is in a convenient location to shops, cafes, restaurants and train station. It is also an easy 15-20 minute walk to the port.

We had a room with a view of the sea which was nice. The room was small but typical of a European hotel room and we enjoyed the charm.
The breakfast was adequate for our needs with a lot of different pastry options. Some fruit would have been nice. The cappuccinos were great!
Overall we felt it was a great place to stay before our cruise.

No hot water. We booked 3 rooms for 6 people and in each room it was the same. All of us had tepid showers. :( There was no communication between the evening staff and the morning staff. We signed up and paid for 5 breakfasts and they tried to charge us again in the morning for 6 breakfasts :(

On the positive side, it was super close to the cruise port and the shuttle to the port in the morning ran smoothly. There was a good choice of restaurants near the hotel.

We made a reservation ten months in advance. Less than a week prior to our reserved stay, we were informed by the hotel that they were overbooked. We were given an option to cancel or stay at a 'resort' of their choice that was 10 miles further out from the cruise port. The 'resort' they chose was very rustic and we were treated very well.

The front desk person was always on the phone. We were in the middle of checking in and the phone rings and we have to wait for 5 minutes. Same exact thing happened to us when we checked out. He wasn’t helpful about ways to get to the port earlier and we tried to cancel our shuttle. He claimed he didn’t know how to process a credit???

Look elsewhere! This hotel is tired in every way - furniture, carpet, paint, showers, etc. Beyond that, we had to climb up and down an open staircase to get to the bed from the bathroom. Suboptimal if you have an aging bladder. We stayed here for one night prior to our cruise departure thinking we were checking into a 4-star hotel. It’s 2 stars at best.

It did not start off well, I requested separate beds, and was given one bed. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk I felt that his response was negative and unacceptable. Eventually we got the separate beds.
Prior to checking out, I was told of the additional cost of staying here as an added tax. This practice should be made transparent, especially when booking through Hotels.com

The room we were assigned was terrible, dirty bathroom, narrow, two levels bathroom down stairs, dangerous starecase to go to the upper section with the bed. They should never use this room for guest. On top of this the bed was small and the mattress probably 20 years old. Asked for 10am shuttle and was put on 11am shuttle which was late. Understaffed. Was probably nice hotel years ago but not today.

Arrived early. Left my bag and came back at chech in time. The bag was brought to my room. Room was clean. Great sleep after a long travel day. The reason for our low rating is because we booked this in Jan 2025 and then 2 days before our arrival in October they emailed to say they had overbooked and had to move us to another location (this new place was 25 minutes out of town - with nothing nearby). They did provide a shuttle but that hardly makes up for our being no where near Civitavechio where we had planned to visit and were not able to do so. I have no comment about the hotel itself.

We booked our reservation several months in advance, however due to an overbooking error, we learned a few days prior to our arrival that we were reallocated to a neighboring hotel. Unfortunately the hotel they put us in wasn’t the same standard. But after 26 hours of travel we were happy to have a bed. The problem here is that they can take the reservation, they just can’t hold the reservation (nod to Jerry Seinfeld). Not sure I would book this hotel at the risk of being a reallocated to what felt like a Motel 6.

We had booked this hotel months in advance for our cruise - they cancelled it days of arrival. They offered a rebooking with another hotel that was very low standards and secluded. After reading other reviews they seem to do this often.
The other property had bed bugs and little flying misquotes. We would not recommend this hotel

Booked 6 weeks in advance and a few days prior was told the hotel was overbooked. San Giorgio offered a refund or alternative lower class hotel 15 minutes away into the hills. Looked online and hotel we were moved to was half the price of the San Giorgio. Pretty good scam, book for 2xx /night and stay at another hotel that costs 1xx per night. Found two other couples at the hotel who had the same situation. Buyer beware!
