I travelled to Homfirth with my friend as we were attending a gig at the Picturedome which is next door to the Inn. The Inn has recently been renovated to a high standard.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The inn is a beautiful place and the decor is beautiful.

We had breakfast, full english which was very good.

Our room was nicely decorated and very
clean.

The staff went the extra mile for us.

Very clean and tidy room with everything I’d need for a great stay… even a rubber duck for the bath ! I would just like to mention the noise in my room I don’t know if it was the extractor fan but it buzzed all night. I had a chicken burger which was ok but the chicken was not what I’d expected it to be but it was nice and at breakfast I felt the eggs were slightly “snotty” but overall I had a great stay with lovely staff and it was quiet and warm.

Definitely the staff, outstandingly polite, nothing was too much for them throughout our stay. Room was clean, comfortable bed, room temperature was pleasant, but the bathroom door locked us out. We had fix it ourselves, so maybe something you could look into going forward.
Great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area and yet again the team were so focused on their service. Breakfast was served even after we were 5 minutes late and they yet again delivered a high standard throughout. Although the breakfast orange juice was an acquired taste, not the best.
Hard to find a parking space, even though we had reserved one with sending our registration number through.
The one thing that was an issue was carrying our luggage up three flights of stairs. We both have back problems and found that it was very uncomfortable experience. No mention of that on the website, so maybe that could be looked into for future reference.

Arrived to a warm welcome, supplied with all information required and reassured there was 24 hour cover should it be needed.

The room was spotless, comfortable and had everything required. We were able to alter the heating to suit ourselves, making our stay very comfortable.

The ensuite had ample big fluffy towels and luxury toiletries. We even had a yellow rubber duck.

Breakfast was great...a substantial menu but happily did just scrambled for myself and baked beans for my husband. Also available , self service, was cereals, greek yoghurt, fruit salad, dried fruit and more. Tasty breads were available for DIY toast to be topped with a variety of preserves.

The only issue may be for anyone with health issues, ensure you request lower levels...it's a beautiful old building but can have quite a lot of stairs.

A superb stay and we would recommend The Old Bridge Inn.

The position of the Old Bridge is excellent and so were both breakfasts we had.a good selection of fresh fruit and nice choices on the cooked breakfast menu from Eggs Benedict to Full English Breakfast plus many more. Yes the room was small and some may say dated but it was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Thanks for a lovely stay we would book again.

Upon arrival a manager was on the reception and was to busy with a colleague sorting out a shift with him ,there was another couple waiting behind us,hes said.ill be with you in a minute, that turned into atleast 5 minswe were just standing there whilst listening to them sorting out there shifts for November.
Went to the room 17 and on first impressions it was ok but very tiny, almost a box room.went to the bathroom, not what i would expect as it was dirty ,dust , grime in the shower, dust on the floor under the sink etc. It was extremely hot in the room so i opened the window and got soaked as the drain above the window was pouring water straight into the room so i closed it straight away the guttering was leaking straight on the window. Went to bed that evening and ended up with a brusied hip as the mattress was lumpy and had a spring that scratched my hip as it was sticking in my hip, i was tempted to sleep on the floor but that was dirty so i stayed in the bed as there was no chair in the room.all in all terrible experience thank god it was only 1 night stay as we only went for a gig in the picturedome next door. Not worth £140 at all .

Its the second time we've stayed at the hotel, when attending a concert next door at the Picturedrome. The hotel is really nice, with both bar and restaurant facilities. The rooms are a little small, but are clean and comfortable.
The main positive for the hotel is the staff. They are excellent. On our first night, in atrocious weather. Our room sprung a leak at about 7a.m. Ten minutes later we were allocated another room with no hassle. The bar.is good with a nice selection of beers and wine. Its a busy spot especially at weekends, but again the staff are great. The restaurant is really good. The breakfast is lovely, can fully recommend the eggs Royale. We had an early evening meal prior to the concert and it was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly. The two young ladies working the restaurant were busy but very good at their jobs...thank you. The outdoor area of the hotel is a little noisy, but thats down to the attraction of Holmfirth for its bars and music venues. If you're part of that crowd then the hotel is ideal for a stay. We'll certainly be back...thank you.😁

We arrived at 1pm having checked in on line. We couldn't get in our room till 3pm so went round holmfirth. When we went back at 4pm our room had been given to someone else. We were offered a twin room in the heavens but we had paid for a double so we werent happy. We were then offered another double which smelled of damp and the carpet was wet so we refused that as my wife suffers with asthma. After trying to find us alternative accommodation at another hotel, which were all full, we came to a compensation agreement and stayed in the twin room. Heidi was excellent in trying to sort the problem and very apologetic, we enjoyed a great stay and the unfortunate experience didnt spoil ourstay.

Stayed here on numerous occasions. Rooms clean and welcoming. Breakfast is second to none. Only gripe was due to significant drop in temperature on the day the room was a tad chilly and the radiators didn't work. Suspect it would have been the first time they would have been needed for a few months so understandable that they were not all firing.

The inn is situated in the heart of Holmfirth. The are very friendly and helpful.we had a small double which was ok for us, but if you are a large person it may be a bit tight and this goes for the shower cubicle also. The in the inn is very good. A good choice for breakfast. We will be coming back.

Constructive criticism.

Evening meal was tasteless and underwhelming, absolutely no seasoning in the burger mince...I asked for \"No ice\" in my Gin and the server wrote it down and it came \"with ice\"...general ambience not good...the manager, bartender and server stand round most of the time in the restaurant area chatting....the room was average, tired and dated aswell as hot as an oven so sleeping was difficult if not impossible. The shower curtain was stained and needed changing and the toilet brush and holder are a health hazard...every door in the hotel needs cleaning as the build up of grease from peoples hands on them is awful. Housekeeping is sloppy, in the morning clean sheets for the room changeovers should not be left hanging on bannisters outside rooms if they fall off onto the floor they are then a trip hazard. Breakfast server was miserable and unenthusiastic and offering tea/coffee seemed to be an afterthought. Breakfast was ok. All the staff seem to have fallen into a \"can't be bothered\" rut, which isnt good.

We were not happy with our stay. When we got to the hotel we were told the boiler was broken and there is no hot water also there was no food and the restaurant was closed. We had been travelling a long distance it was an hot day and we desperately needed to have a shower. We are disabled we picked this hotel because it was central has we can’t walk too far so you can understand that we where upset that we couldn’t relax and have a shower and have our meals in the hotel. We made a complaint to the duty manager who whole heartedly agreed with us and she said she had given us a full refund which will go back on my Visa card shortly for our inconveniences.

This is a very run down dirty hotel/inn. Deferred maintenance has not been done. For the first day we had no hot water. They claimed to have attempted to contact us about the water but emails and missed calls demonstrated otherwise. With that said the people working there were very nice and the breakfast (the day hot water was working) was pleasant.

We have stayed here before so was expecting it to be high standards as back then
On arrival we got come back at 3 no conversation or polite ness.
Our room was not clean the sheets were dirty we had to ask twice for this toe done no clean towel same towels for three days asked for this to be changed but it was not done. Bathroom there was urine up the tiles near the toilet seat asked room to be cleaned again this did not happen
Really I should be asking for our money back it was so poor they did say sorry on departure this was our honeymoon so really not happy with how it all went.

We didn't feel particularly welcomed upon arrival, despite being paying guests. But the main issue was the room - dated decor, it was tiny, and it was dirty. There was a hair on the bed, dirt in the sink and on the shower walls, mould on the shower ceiling, dirty grout etc. The room was also boiling hot and very dusty. The dining room was also dusty and the teapots were dirty. It was completely overpriced and I wouldn't recommend staying there.

It's a very convenient place to stay if visiting for a gig at the adjacent Picturedrome. They do warn you about noise, but at a weekend it wasn't the noise from the venue which was a problem, it was the pub and it's customers at the back where people sat out talking until 2:30. Nothing the hotel can do to control this, but replacing the windows with newer more soundproof would help. The staff were as always very friendly & helpful. Will it stop me staying here? Overall no, but I'd avoid a Friday or Saturday night in the future

Really enjoyed our stay! We did struggle to find the road to enter the carpark, rang up and staff member holly came to the end of road for us which was very caring. Room 34 was lovely. We paid to include breakfast and was asked during check in what time we would like to have it in the morning.
In the morning our table was laid out and ready. Our breakfast arrived promptly after order and it was great produce. No faults at all :) would 100% stay again! Thanks
