First and last time staying at an IBIS hotel. The noise from the room above me was unconscionably loud and annoying until 2 am and then the noise from the hallway early leavers started at 6 am. One can forgive normal inconveniences of a hotel but not if you only end up with 4 hours of peace and quiet.

Okay, not great.

Great service from the staff, but the rooms are very cramped and not clean. The bedding was clean and fresh and the floor had clearly been mopped, but the shower and the walls of the room had bugs and cobwebs.
Tried to get out of the hotel at 5am and ended up waiting in reception for 10 minutes for someone to open the door.
Overall, the stay suited the purpose of an overnight rest whilst driving through Europe.

Suitable for our one night stop over.

Hotel is on an industrial estate, out of town, but convenient for us travelling from Spain to UK, as not far off motorway. Room small, compact bathroom. Basic but adequate, tidy etc. Positive surprise was how good the power shower was and a nice, quality, good priced, buffet breakfast.

No reason to stay here.

Small cramped rooms on a busy highway. Don't expect ibis to be roomy but this room had dark grey walls and felt like a tomb.

Morning front desk gentleman was grumpy with attitude. He was impeccably dressed in expensive clothes, but not interested in being kind or attentive to the guests. He was clearly bothered we needed to check out.

We were charged for two breakfasts although only one ate the mediocre buffet.

Stayed here pre-covid so we know the restaurant was good. Now, the restsurant is closed and the evening shift receptionist had to do everything, including heating orepared food and serving. She did an amazing job with a lovely personality. The food was good despite all this. The room felt very small. The bed was enormous and a standard double bed would have given more room to move in. Despite the down points, the bed and facilities were up to the high standards we can rely on with Ibis.

Reassuring Covid arrangements, friendly and welcoming staff, really tasty evening meal from the restaurant prepared for one's collection to eat in-room [as for breakfast]
Enclosed site with free parking and dog friendly.Good overnight stop,close to motorway but quiet enough. Comfy beds. Good shower. Space is money of course but only gripe is the rooms sizes are a bit tight !

We really liked this hotel. It has only just been refurbished and looked really lovely. The room was comfortable and spacious with a well fitted bathroom and comfy beds. Although we did not eat at the hotel, the menu at the restaurant looked really interesting.

Don’t bother unless you are desperate!

If you eat steak here remember “mi cui” for medium or you get it virtually raw.
Wouldn’t recommend this place, I know you get what u pay for, but it wasn’t cheap!
And don’t leave it late for breakfast because there will be nothing left and its not replenished!

Wonderful staff and a great place to stop over.

I was unfortunate to contract gastro enteritis on our journey to Saintes and by the time we checked in I was feeling very ill. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. The lady directed us to a local hospital and also contacted a pharmacy to open up for us so we could collect the prescribed medication. We also had a late check out at no extra charge. If not for their help I do not think we would have managed to get to our ferry home so we are very grateful for all their help and concern and would recommend this as a great place to stay.
The hotel has a restaurant and there are other eateries nearby. It is in a bit of an industrial area but a very convenient stop over for the A10 if on a journey back to the French ports.

The hotel looks a small though it is currently undergoing refurbishment. There were new carpets in the corridor. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and clean. Useful for an overnight stop whilst travelling.

Hotel was easy to find and only about 5 minutes from the toll road. The room was clean and had a lot of shops around the corner ranging from a fuel station to a Chinese take-away. Over all the hotel and staff were very friendly and spoke really good English, they also had a nice continental breakfast. We would definitely be staying here again.

Ideal overnight stopover

Perfect for an overnight stay en route to south west france. A short drive from the motorway, which is ideal. The room was basic but clean and practical. There is a small bar area that served lighter meals or a restaurant. As we were travelling with a dog we ate in the bar area which was perfectly ok. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of continental breakfast items, or you could cook yourself an egg is you wanted. Plenary of grassy areas around the hotel to walk the dog so all in all was great for what we needed.

Probably the worst room at any ibis hotel

During the years I have stayed at many ibis hotels, including highway locations, normally a good experience and descent rooms. The room we stayed in at this hotel was extremely uncomfortable. First of all the room was so small that two adults couldn’t move around at the same time. The toilet/shower was allocated in what seemed to have been a cupboard. To make things worse and to ensure the claustrophobic feel the room was painted in very dark colours, and only one electrical socket was available. The staff were kind and helpful but not enough to change the extremely uncomfortable experience. Overall it seemed like this room was created from a spare cupboard just to a bit more profit, not caring about the customer experience. On top of everything, not one single picture on Hotels.com showed any room just close to mentioned room’s condition.

Comfortable and pleasant hotel

The staff at the hotel were helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself was comfortable as was the room. The meal in the restaurant however was very poor. My wife had to return her steak as it was raw. It came back and was no better, not edible. We understand the cook was an emergency replacement that night and staff settled the matter. Providing the cook has changed we will stop on our return in a few weeks.

This was a stopping point on my journey and was sufficient, but I would not stay here again. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Other than the lobby, the facility was old and shabby. The room furniture was functional, but cheap. The bed linens were nice and in keeping with the Ibis hotel chain standard.

Ibis have a brilliant brand which they maintain scrupulously and it is to have all the budget traveller would want and always to the same standard. So this hotel has an excellent location (close to the motorway), quiet rooms, good restaurant and of course free parking and wifi. Could not have been better for the price.

Easy to find with ample parking. The hotel was very clean and provided what we wanted - a place to sleep and recharge our batteries for the next stage of our drive to Spain.
We especially appreciated the fact that we could get a very passable evening meal at the hotel and breakfast was equally good.

What a pleasant hotel! Was a little dubious about staying at an Ibis hotel but they allow dogs so thought we would give it a go, we were pleasantly surprised! Lovely staff,clean hotel and rooms and even a dog bed for your k9 companion! Everything you need when travelling.would definitely recommend.

The fact that we use this hotel repeatedly is reasonable recommendation. It is convenient just of the A10 and a very simple drive into the centre of a very pleasant town on the Charente. Reception staff helpful, room comfortable and clean although a little small, but fine for an overnight stay. Bed very comfortable. The hotel does not have a lift but it is only on 2 floors so not a huge issue. The evening meal reasonable value and nicely presented but not hugely adventurous. We have never had problems parking there even when towing a large trailer. Will use it again!

Excepté le jeune homme à la réception .
qui à mon sens n'est pas compatible avec une réception d'hôtel .
Attitude nonchalante à l'arrivée ,pied posé sur le tiroir du bureau ,tenu non approprié ,casque sur les oreilles et téléphone portable à la main...
ne lève pas la tête au passage des clients ...
devrais suivre une formation \"contact clients\"
Le reste du personnel que nous avons croisés professionnel et impeccable.

C’était parfait. Gentillesse du personnel, petit déjeuner très complet et délicieux. Parking devant l’hôtel. Le seul bémol reste les chambres très petites mais tous les IBIS sont pareils …

Peu insonorisé et situé à côté d’une route à forte fréquentation. Ma chambre donnait sur cette route et le bruit des camions et véhicules était une vraie nuisance sonore.
Également, ma chambre dégageait drs effluves d’égouts inacceptables ! Malheureusement arrivé tardivement et l’hôtel étant complet, j’ai dû m’en satisfaire. Cela étant, peut être étais ce un cas exceptionnel, donc je ne voudrais pas généraliser sur l’hôtel et ses prestations. Ma nuitée fut courte et non reposante.
