A cyclist's dream
This is an excellent hotel in a great location for a cyclist. I could ride on the Donau directly from the hotel and relax with a nice drink after a ride in the outdoor seating area. Breakfast was also very good.

Great overnight stay on our way to Budapest. Walked into Regensburg for dinner along the river path from the hotel. Room was spacious and clean for family of 4. Breakfast was very good! Easy to get back onto the autobahn and conjure our journey.

Really enjoyed our stay here. An AMAZING kids play space (books, PlayStation, table tennis table etc) - the kids loved it! Comfortable room, friendly staff, nice bar area and really good breakfast.
We caught public transport (bus - if you do, get off at Pfaffenheimer Brucke as otherwise it’s hard to cross the road) but then we just walked into the old town by the river which takes 25 min or so.

Located on the outskirts of town, its an easy walk into town or you can use one of the hotel bikes. Or just can walk or bike the canal. Quiet location right on the canal makes it scenic and enjoyable. Breakfast is good with many options. Rooms are normal size and clean. I stay here every year when I come to Regensburg.

NO air conditioning at all even though advertised
The most important reason for staying at this hotel as opposed to one inside the old city was because air conditioning was advertised. Alas, a/c was not working at all. Not only the air blown out was not cold, there was barely any air flow. Putting my hand above the a/c vent, I could barely feel anything. Contacted the front desk. The chap came to the room to check and made sure that a/c was set to -3 and said there wasn't much he could do. The dial has only a setting ranging from +3 to -3, with -3 being the coldest. But as mentioned, it didn't do anything. Further, there was no fan. We stayed there for two nights and had to sleep with windows open, then the bugs came in. We found ourselves all bitten up in the morning. There was no screen for the windows. Plus, the room was so hot, we spent 18 euro a night just on water, 3 euro for a very small bottle. Location-wise, the hotel is a good 15-20 minutes walk to the city. Normally, it won't be an issue, except it was very hot. So, we basically had the worst of both worlds, no a/c and had to walk back and forth to the city. Taking a cab would be impractical as it would require a big detour to get around the river. Had the hotel not advertising a/c, we would have stayed in the old city and avoid walking under hot sun. I understand Europe (and everywhere) is experiencing hotter weather. However, this trend had been going on for a few years. It's plainly deceiving for the hotel to advertise a/c while it doesn't work at all.

The additional “bed” in our room consisted of a very hard leather sofa, not suited to sleep on. There is no refrigerator in the room, no gym at the hotel, air conditioning and WiFi worked poorly. They kept running out of dishes at breakfast and they charge an outrageous parking fee of $9/day. Part of the staff was rude and refused to supply additional blankets to cushion the additional bed. Overall bad experience and we will be sure to not return to this hotel.

There was a renovation at the hotel, it was pretty normal but all the electricity cable were open and there were lots of dangerous stuff for the kids. I feedbacked this situation to reception and they event did not show any interest.

Hotel was under construction (lack of such info when bookings were done), which caused some unconvienamces, e.g all lifts were out of order. At reception I was not told that kids are entitled to have special kids box (snacks for travel)... I had to specially asked for it.

Very difficult getting to it from the train station, even after calling hotel had to pull my luggage through streets for 2 miles. Once I was there it was a pleasant stay with a nice room and comfortable bed, but I was exhausted. 30 min walk to sites and old city.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The rooms were clean and a reasonable size and the beds were comfortable. Staff were good. Internet worked well. The hotel is a half hour walk from the old town where there were many shops and restaurants - the walk is a bit unexciting, mainly walking along the river. There were no tea / coffee making facilities or ironing board in the room. Paid parking was available outside the hotel and easy to use. Breakfast was included in our tariff and this was good - you need the breakfast included because there are no restaurants or cafes in the area.

The hotel was right on the river. We could see cruise barges going by. The people were great. Had a slight mix up but got fixed right away. They gave very good directions. The breakfast was great. We ate there both nights and the food was good. The waiter George was fun. Really enjoyed him. when it was slow he was able to stop for a few minutes and talk. Hotel room was comfortable and modern. I would stay there again for sure. I would go a different time of year so we could sit out on the patio and watch the boats and barges go by.

Was attending a conference at the University. Hotel was a little too far away though but I enjoyed the walks through the city. The local bus is very infrequent which makes it inconvenient when arriving or leaving with baggage.

Happened to be there during a festival. The hotel is situated quite a way from the train station (like almost two miles). We got a crappy room overlooking a parking lot, instead of the Danube, and on the side of the roadway. Granted, it was a festival weekend in Regensburg. The staff made an effort to make it up by including the breakfast, which was a very good breakfast and the staff was always pleasant. Room itself was OK, not bad, but OK. We did get our exercise walking into town. A nice town and a good enough hotel, especially if you arrive by car.

No problems with the hotel but considering the price I was surprised it did not include breakfast. Did not eat or drink there becasue of the prices. Situated nicely by the river but a bit of a walk from the main part of town. Bike hire facility was great but don't worry if they are fully booked as you can get the same bikes from \"Bikehaus\" by the railway sation slightly cheaper.

De kamer heeft een soort van AC maar die kan je alleen -3C naarbeneden instellen en gaat na een tijdje vanzelf uit. Snachts wordt de kamer dan door 4 personen erg warm en dan wordt je steeds wakker om de AC weer aan te moeten zetten. Dit heb ik zeker 4x in 1 nacht moeten doen. Zonde want het kan zoveel beter.

Das Ibis Hotel Style in Regensburg war für einen Städtetrip am Wochenende geplant und hat uns vollumfänglich zufriedengestellt. Das Zimmer (neu renoviert) war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Die Matratze sehr bequem und die Badezimmereinrichtung perfekt. Wir hatten Frühstück dazu gebucht, auch das war sehr gut und mehr wie ausreichend.

The staff at the restaurant are nice. Breakfast was also good. Our check-in was terrible though. First they gave us the wrong room, a suite, and then when we came down to tell them the sofa bed for our room is not prepared they informed us that we actually got the better room than the one that they booked but since the bed is not made they will cancel the upgrade. Okaaaayyy. Then they gave us a room with not enough towels which tells us that it was not prepared for 4 people and the lamp makes this annoying whistling noise when turned off so we had to turn it on the whole night but covered it with a sock to block off the light or else we wont be able to sleep. The next morning we informed them that we would like to have the room cleaned and we came back to the hotel room in the evening with nothing done. We complained about the matter at the reception and got two gummy bears as compensation(?). Very laughable. The next day our room was somehow \"cleaned\", new towels were put but the bed was not made at all. Until at the end of our stay the lamp was still making this whistling noise and we just made do with turning it on covered with a sock. We stayed there for 5 nights with 2 small kids. Not going to recommend this hotel at all.
