The hotel is in a great location and it’s very modern and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety and the staff was pleasant. However, the Internet is awful and my devices were unable to connect with the Internet. I have never had this issue at any other place that we’ve stayed at. I would also suggest that the hotel invest in some better pillows and face cloths in the bathroom, but otherwise it’s very convenient to everything and a very fair price.

Great hotel and SUPER staff. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location - 10 minute walk from the bus terminal. To be honest, it’s starting to show some wear and tear - carpets, walls, bathrooms etc. Still nice, but a bit of a facelift might make sense before it gets too far gone.

The room was extremely bare, with no basic amenities—not even an iron, and I had to leave a €20 deposit just to get one. On top of that, the WiFi didn’t work at all, which made the stay even more frustrating. For the price, I expected far better service and comfort. Definitely not worth it.

Initially the front desk was a little unfriendly. I think the woman’s name was Cecilia (I forget). However, they grew in kindness over time.
The room was nice, however there was a ton of mold. In the shower of course, but when I pulled back the drapes, there was a 4 inch space all around the window walls of mold. I reported it, they came and washed it, but they could not remove it all the way. IMO they should have moved me. The air conditioning did not work (hence the reason for opening the windows.
The breakfast was OK. The gentleman that generally ran the dining area was very very kind and friendly.
The location was nice.

The hotel stay was excellent, but it will be very helpful for guest to know that garage accommodates only small cars. The garage entrance is very narrow and have tight curves that SUV cars will struggle to pass. It took us at least 30 minutes to get out of parking park

Hotel is very convenient for central Huelva

The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the centre of Huelva and is very convenient.
Our room was clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. However the room was not soundproof at all. We stayed for three nights and we had two nights of very disturbed sleep as the result of other guests in nearby rooms who we assumed were partying because we heard shouting, squealing, laughing and music, which went on until around 4am.
The buffet breakfast was ok, however again one of the mornings the coffee machine wasn’t working, so no decaf coffee and some of the selections (scrambled egg, bacon) ran out quickly and were not replaced.
After reading previous reviews we chose not to park in the hotel car park, but the nearby multi-storey car park is very convenient. At the time we stayed parking in the multi storey cost 16 euros a day.

We purchased the accommodation several days in advance on Expedia, a 'Family Room' at a premium, it was ridiculously small, it could not accommodate 4 people. The two supposed double beds were in fact, slightly bigger than a single bed, 1 metre 35 across. They were unsuitable for 2 adults. There was nowhere to put our luggage, strangely part of the wardrobe had been boarded up and could not even be accessed. Perhaps housing electrics. This was taking up much needed space. There were only 2 hand towels, two larger towels, 2 glasses, 2 cups, 2 saucers, 2 bottles of water. The facilities were clearly not suitable for 4 people. 4 people had been put pushed in a room designed for only 2. We went to the reception & complained and they told us that they were fully booked & they say they did not have any other rooms. We then saw several couples checking in after us on the same floor and given the same type of room as us, which was sold to us as a “Family room.” We have been ripped off! The room was very dark, with really poor lighting. My elderly mother could not even see her medication, I had to shine the torch on my mobile to help her. She dropped a tablet under the bed & I was covered in dirt trying to retrieve it. The furniture was very battered, stained & tatty. The remote control of the TV had the back missing. The toilet stank of urine. The bath was full of black mould, the water temperature kept fluctuating in the shower from icy cold to scalding. Our child burnt her face and

A town well worth a visit!

This hotel is on the main road right by the city centre and with that is constant street noise both day and night. It is simply a city hotel, clean, welcoming and a good healthy breakfast.

Parking is EXTREMELY difficult. The hotel offer parking in their basement for Euro 15 per 24 hrs but I would STRONGLY advise not using it unless your car is VERY small as the corners are EXTEMELY tight. 100m further down the road is a much better 6 storie car park and their maximum charge is Euro 16.12 per 24 hours.

As you leave the hotel and turn left you'll be greeted with a street FULL of eating/watering holes before you even begin to get into the city itself. Just great.

Beyond that the town is wonderful to explore but there is NOT alot in the area and we only found a Monastry that was worth a visit ... Overall enjoyable.

Decent enough hotel. Fairly quiet and ac worked well on a hot night. Has parking but really, you can't safely use it with anything bigger than a Fiat 500. It's really tight and difficult to get in and out of. There's a \"normal\" car park I little further down the street which is cheaper.

Stayed one night as stopover from Lisbon to Granada, so didn't really explore around. The lobby gives an impression of an upscale hotel, but rooms are more like an upscale motel. No complaints about cleanliness or comfort. BUT, parking is horrendous!! I read later that there are parking garages nearby that are better. I'd use them if staying again at this place (price being the main factor). Do not use their parking lot... My rental was a small Peugeot 308 and getting it into the garage thru the super tight spiral down ramp, and worse getting it back out, was a freaking nightmare 😱. As soon as the garage door opens, you are greeted with a large sign warning you of the \"difficult garage\".. staff should warn at check-in and provide better (sane) nearby options.

The hotel is in the town centre, and not easy to find. We didn't use the hotel car park and parked in the nearby multi storey carpark. The hotel staff were very friendly. Our bedroom was large and overlooked the busy roundabout. The double glazing was very poor and the street noise during the night was horrendous.

The Senator is a clean, comfortable place to stay at a fair price. They could maybe streamline check-in a little and have more food offerings outside dining hours. If using Google maps to find it, make sure you approach via the H31, much easier than navigating through the city. The underground car park is amusingly tight!

Beware the hidden charges

This chain of hotels uses deceptive tactics to get your custom by offering on-site car parking but hiding the charges in the small print. When these charges amount to over 20% of the listed price this is outrageous.

(The car park is also very difficult to access, narrow tight turns.)

When I complained the management used illogical arguments to justify making a charge not previously disclosed and were entirely unsympathetic and unhelpful.

Their listing is also untruthful in several other minor ways - and the impression is that this attitude is corporate policy rather than a mistake.

This spoiled what otherwise would have been a pleasant visit.

Good hotel for walking round the area.

We stayed for 3 days during a festival weekend.The hotel was full but staff were very helpful.It is very convenient for touring the town as everything is within walking distance.It is a traditional Spanish area so early evening the bars and restaurants are packed with locals drinking and eating tapas and they eat dinner late( 9.30 -11.00pm,we like to eat early so we found it hard to get supper in a restaurant before that time. We parked inthe hotel which was a very tight squeeze even for our Skoda, but there is a larger public car park just down from the hotel whose daily rates are cheaper.

Great hotel, great location

We stayed one night on our trip to Huelva. I have never know reception staff to be so knowledgeable and helpful - they are a credit to the hotel. We were given a map, directions and recommendations. As we visited on a Sunday we were also advised on what was open and the cost of entry. They were better than any tourist information centre! The location of the hotel is great, close the the square, the shops and restaurants. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds, a reasonably priced mini bar and a free safe. The bathroom has a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Although the hotel is on a main road, there is no traffic noise. The bar serves nice coffees. We had a lovely time and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed our two nights at this hotel, the rooms were spotless. Very close to the Odiel Estuary, which was our reason for visiting the area. Breakfast was good, but restaurant closed so no evening meal, however there were plenty of restaurants nearby so not a huge problem. Will stay again.

A modern city centre hotel, in a prime location.

The SatNav guided us from Faro airport to the hotel in Huelva city centre. The underground car park was a challenge, everything is so tight, to get as many small cars in as possible. The street is full of tapas bars and restaurants, something to suit every budget. Double glazing keeps the room quiet and air-con keeps it cool. Buffet breakfast is excellent with hot and cold food and tasty coffee.

Plenty to see and do in Huelva, especially the English Village, churches, river front and shops.

Columbus set sail from Huelva and discovered the New World. At the La Rabida Monastery you can stand in the rooms where he planned his voyages, met his crew members and sought help from the Friars in petitioning the Royal family for financial support. Nearby there is a museum with life size replicas of his three vessels.

Visit the beaches at Mazagon and Punta Umbria to top up your tans and eat fresh fish.

Visit Aracena (120Km) to see the wonderful caves filled with stalagtites & stalagmites. Truely breath-taking in beauty and quantity.

Even in late September the temperature was 25C during the day.
