The room was not cleaned properly, found hair and nose boogers inside the bedsheet, shower was not clean,the cleaning lady just barged in the room without knocking while i was asleep the next day, asked her to come by later and i kept the cleaning sign on the door at noon when i left and to my surprise when i came back to the room at the end of the night the room was not cleaned. Cleaning staff has to be addressed!

The hotel is very good, clean and comfortable.
The services including checkin, checkout and the housekeeping were excellent.
The staff were so friendly.
The location is fine.

The only downside is that no one helped me to carry the luggage to the room.

The facility is quite good and it is clean. However, the female receptionist checked us in was some what combative. She spoke to me roughly and without any patience. After a couple of queries from me she crossed her arms in front of her body and banged the piece of paper needed to be signed by me on the counter. I would recommend Ibis Tunis to others if was not of her.

The best part is the shower. It is huge and has a lot of water. Good one. The breakfast is good. Services is ok. A women at the restaurant is always a bit moody. But the bailboys and front office are very happy and helpful. Check everysingle bils you have paid, or get a receipt if you pay anything in cash. That amount could be added in your bill when checking out. Airport pickup is about 3tims of taxi rate. However taxi drivers are pretty much scam in Tunis, including those who are serounded around the hotel. The money is not big but the feeling of being taking advantage is incomparable.

old hôtel you can tell by the smell of the rooms and the hallway, it needs to be updated breakfast is not included so you have to pay extra for that!!!!!! Extremely deceiving for the price you pay, to eat outside you have to take a taxi there is no places near by to eat, impossible to get a taxi cab , there is some taxi cabs taking advantage of the tourists they charge $$$$$ for a small rides, taxi cabs is a big problem in Tunisia, when they see a tourist they want to rip him off in all ways it’s a shame, bottom line I don’t recommend this hotel at all, look for other places

Excellent hotel. Professional staff, Starting from the security men to the receptionists. Although quite small rooms, but are so clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of varieties. My only complain is about the WiFi the signal was weak and slow but this did not bother me much. Thank you very much Hotel Ibis Tunis. It Would be my first choice hotel in my future visits to Tunis. Highly Recommend.

Smallest room we’ve ever stayed in at a hotel. There wasn’t a coffee or tea maker or even a cup or bottle of water. Obviously no refrigerator or microwave. Okay for someone solo staying one short night. The room was stuffy and the air temperature control didn’t work. Luckily it was winter and the window opens so we could cool it down. Boiling hot water and super water pressure to the point of wastefulness. Bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast buffet looked decent for the price but I didn’t try it. They had plenty of hot and cold options. The restaurant seemed expensive but is good for people who don’t want to leave the hotel. However there are lots of dining options and grocery stores within walking distance.

I arrived in Tunis at 1:15 pm and flew out on a separate ticket at 2:55 am, so this was basically just a cheap transit hotel. The hotel arranged a pickup at the airport for 35 TND. The taxi back was 20 TND. Travel time was about 15 minutes from the airport in mid-day traffic. The room was compact but clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. I did not try the restaurant. My only minor complaints were the slow wifi (I was at the end of the hall) and the lack of free bottled water (large bottles available at the bar for 5 TND). I can't comment on the area as I never left the hotel, but in a similar situation I would be happy to stay here again.

Great location, good price good for visiting Tunis

Clean hotel in a good area less than a mile from major shopping and cafés. We were pleased overall, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was much better than expected. Rooms her a little tired and shows somewhere, but belts cleaner enough and comfy . Room service and the dining room for dinner where expensive but what to expect for eating at the hotel :). But if you’re up for a walk less than a mile down the street there are tons of cafés restaurants and things to do. I do recommend this hotel. It’s & excellent and economical choice, basic but good as a homebase for checking at the city.

Do not trust the staff with cabs or cab fares. They rip you off. They will call a cab driver they know personally and quote you a higher rate. They got me a cab to sidi bousaid and the driver charged 20 dinar. The meter said 12, but the driver charges what the hotel says. The return trip in a cab I called was only 10 dinar.
Rooms were nice but hot and stuffy. If you open the windows, you have to hear the neighbors dogs barking all night.
The building smells like sewage.
The front desk staff were great but the bar and restaurant staff were rude and unfriendly.

Average hotel, not a nice area

Quite clean for Tunisian standards, room floors could do with some hoovering. Room ventilation is inadequate despite the vent system annoyingly humming all night. Windows can only be opened slightly, not enough for fresh air to come in. No mesh on windows, so even in February flies and mosquitoes can be a pain. Rooms have the felling of being in a box and are very stuffy. Generally clean, but traces of mould evident in the toilet. No room facilities apart from hairdryer and safe. Front rooms are quieter as the street is not very busy. Back rooms are very noisy when you open the window due to 24hr noise from hotel generator and a busy road. Staff are very clean and friendly. Beer £2-£2.80. Mixed Grill & chips £9.50. Reasonable, but should be better. Buffet breakfast £4 with very large choice, but much of the food is of low quality. Lounge is depressing and no seating area apart from dining/bar tables. Hotel security is excellent and friendly. Taxis always waiting outside and you need to haggle hard with them in order not to get ripped off as everywhere in Tunis. No good restaurants or cafes to be found nearby, In fact the area is full of local scammers pretending to be staff from your hotel and wanting to be your guide. Avoid and ignore anyone in the street who claims to recognise you or claims there is a flower (or essential oils) festival/market that you should visit. They will ask you for money and can be very rude and aggressive when you refuse. Everyone else friendly.

Clean and confortable hotel in a good location

This hotel is not right in the city centre but at a walking distance. I travel and stay regularly in Tunis and 3 star hotels are a hit and miss. I found this one functional clean and close to the city centre. the staff is very professional and friendly. I left my luggage there twice to avoid carrying it with me during my stay in Tunisia and there was no problem. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a convenient and comfortable place at a reasonable price.

Everyday Ibis - Awful Restaurant

The Ibis Tunis lives up to the general Ibis standard of clean, comfortable, and economical - with good wifi and a/c - making this an easy choice if you need to be near the city center.

The staff is quite pleasant, and while some English is spoken by the front desk staff, you will not find it in use among the other employees - so it's good to have a little French under your belt.

Avoid eating anything other than breakfast in the restaurant. The food is pricey, of poor quality, and the restaurant staff of questionable ethics.

Short story - looking over the check after a very mediocre dinner, I noticed the server had placed an incorrect charge on the bill. When questioned of this, he offered a \"free\" desert as an attempt to take care of the issue. After I declined the dessert, he went on to explain how the \"free\" dessert was actually a better value, and continued to haggle, trying to browbeat me into accepting the dessert. Finally, I had to firmly, and angrily, demand he adjust the bill. Which, in the end, he did. And while this type of practice, and behavior towards foreigners, is typical and expected in the touristic parts of Tunisia, it was a surprise to experience such smarmy behavior at an establishment like the Ibis.

You'll have a nice stay here, if you find somewhere else to eat.

Well trained staff! Great for Biz trip. Missed my Swiss Muesli breakfast with fresh fruits, nuts, and oatmeal. Coffee is lukewarm. Only one TV program in English format. But these are really minor compared with the \"always smiling and accommodating staff. Will definitely stay again. Did I mention that the pricing was affordable and fair. Aloha from Honolulu, the tourist Capital of the World (I think).

The hotel beds are great and comfortable. The price was great. The food in the hotel is expensive but there are many places to eat within walking distance even across the street and for less than half the price! The outside staff was very helpful. The inside desk staff were not very efficient, sometimes borderline rude and, for example, I wanted to use their lobby computer and print out 3 pages, nobody at the front desk could help me accomplish this simple task. Almost everything was within walking or taxi distance and there were always taxis outside of the hotel AND they were very affordable. I would return.

I have stayed for 3 nights with my wife. We are pleased with the room size, cleanness and location. The only thing that annoyed me is bottled water pricing at reception which is 10 times it's normal price. Make sure you get your bottle of water before getting into the hotel.
