Comfortable and conveniently located for access by car. The hotel is 15 minutes walking distance from the Saronno train station where there is a frequent service into Milan. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet very good.

Manageable walk to train station. Convenient proximity to grocery store. Bathroom shower/tub surface was not safe. Sides sloped to narrow, slippery area. A few anti slip circle stickers had been applied, but they were too small and too few. Glass panel was not secure, no safety bars, yet high side tub walls.

Chose for price and proximity to Milan, Malpensa airport and Como. Getting the train in and out of Milan was fine for a couple of days but the 20minute walk was a tad too much and the hotel could do with a shuttle service.
It’s a very basic hotel, we were only there for one night which was fine but I wouldn’t want to base myself there longer.
Staff were very polite and helpful when we needed.

Only there for 1 night and really didnt do anything but sleep and eat breakfast. The place was clean and staff that we met were friendly. Easy to find, a few places to eat within walking distance or 15% discount if you want to eat in the hotel restaurant. Secure underground parking for the car. Breakfast was decent. Would use again

A good stop off

Close to the motorway so easy to access and 15 minute walk to the train station. The hotel was clean and quiet and staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was rather limited and the restaurant rather uninspiring.

Very conveniently situated

This hotel is very conveniently situated and has everything you might need. Staff were very friendly and the parking arrangements are great. Unfortunately, the rooms are not very sound-proof and on the nights that the adjacent rooms were occupied we couldn't sleep at all.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good. The cave entrance was only few hundred meters from the hotel. Only thing that was slightly unfortunate was that there was no place to get late night snack as we arrived late and the hotel restaurant was closed from 22.00.

A fine hotel

A conveniently situated hotel for breaking a long journey. The hotel was clean, comfortable, the room spacious and the staff polite and efficient. Like many Italian hotels in our experience, the value for money was excellent when compared with offerings in Northern Europe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient night stop. A large supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance.

My stay at Hotel Della Rotonda was pretty good. The important thing to me was that they have good wi-fi. I've stayed at another large hotel in town and the wi-fi there was very poor. The food at the restaurant was very good. The only down side was that only the front desk staff spoke any english. I'll probably stay here again next time I'm in town.

Easy to find from the motorway and easy to park. Reception was attended even though we arrived late and good English was spoken. Breakfast was good. The only 'not so good thing' was that there was no sink plug in the bathroom otherwise everything was as expected.

It was a business trip. The hotel had no free WiFi in the room, although hotels.com says there is free WiFi in the room. The restaurant choice is very restricted. The service was friendly but they did not understand the problem of not providing free WiFi when I need to work.

Basic Travel Hotel

A fairly average hotel with comfortable bed. Quiet. Basic but everything I needed. Close to the main road to Como. Ideal to stay before heading in to Como the next day. Better value as Como is very expensive. Not much to write home about in the very local area. I had a good sleep to break up a road trip so it was all that I needed.

the rooms were big but had very paper thin walls. could hear everything from the room next door, no sound proofing existed at all.
shopping mall was across the road so could get the basic necessities from there.
very expensive breakfast for the number of items being served
very far from milan, no buses around to get to the train station, train station was a 20 min walk away
no ironing or self laundry available
the washrooms were terrible conditions, everything was breaking or rusting

We stayed here with the idea that it would be close to both Milan City centre and the airport. It was exactly that! Situated about 20 mins from both it was perfect for us. Cheap hotel and the value for money was great. Comfy beds, clean and excellent bathroom. Not the most glamourised hotel but you get great friendly service for a small fee. Definitely recommend

Disappointing hotel

Continental breakfast is toast and jam, that is it everyday. They could've offered fresh fruit or juice, or eggs nothing but bread and a coffee machine so it wasn't even that great. He hotel was kept clean. The location is not ideal if you want to explore the town nothing is going on. The exit spa is exceptional and definetly worth going to. The hotel shouldn't be rated as four stars the most is a two and a half, don't be deceived. If you decide to go, good luck to you.

The front desk staff make this place - they were helpful with everything. We got the hotel at a super rate which we appreciated. If we had paid more we might have been dissatisfied with some features such as the breakfast. No features near the hotel - Its a walk to get to the central area or to restaurants as an alternative to the hotel restaurant or semi fast food place next door.

USA type hotel near Malpensa

I use it to stay in before my morning flight out of Malpensa. 35 minute drive in the early am. The car collection in the underground garage is much smaller now and appears uncared for. I suspect the owner has passed.....so sad.

Worse than many 3-stars rated hotels

When we were there, a lot of bus tour customers. Hotel is old and things do not work. The drain plug fro the wash basin cannot come up as linkage was broken. No soap or glass in room. Included breakfast has few to offer and under-staffed.

You'd never know it was so close to the autostrada

Located on the first roundabout off the main route we were surprised to come across the hotel so quickly. We were greeted nicely and directed to park in the free underground secure carpark. The room was very nicely appointed, very similar to a quality US hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice with a bath, shower over, a bidet as well as the usual washbasin and toilet. The air con was not on and the room was very hot for us coming from more northern climes. Even on full all night it didn't make a great difference. However, we could open the window and it was out onto woodland so it was quiet and dark so we were able to be comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with a wide variety of hot and cold foods, juices, pastries and coffee. In the rooms and the foyer are momentoes of the past Biscotti production in the town which add a different, educational element to a very nice stay. Driving the car out of the cool carpark, within 2 minutes we were cruising again on the motorway. Ideal!

This is a Great hotel if working or visiting in Saronno.

This is a Great hotel if visiting or working in Saronno. If the main purpose if to visit Milan I would suggest you get a hotel in or closer to milan central. It was easy to catch the train into Milan from Saronno but, after touring round Milan the 20 to 40 minute train ride back to Saronno was a bit much especially since I just want to rest for bit and hit the town at night.

Also if you have trouble lifting your legs, lets say broken, injured etc the tubs are very high and you will have troble getting in or out.

Near Malpensa with a classic car collection!

Much better than most chain hotels in Italy. Clean & well maintained. Kind of hard to find without a good map or GPS. I always use it my last night in Italy as it is a 15 minute no toll / all autostrada drive to Malpensa airport. An Autogrille nearby has reasonable food & drink available almost all hours; rare in Italy. Ask to see the car collection in the lower garage; maybe a dozen cars, an unexpected treat!

Kamers en bedden redelijk. Kamers gehorig. Accomodatie is sterk verouderd. Komt smoezelig over. Onbijt zeer beperkt en niet lekker. We wilde om 7:00 uur ontbijten maar ontbijtzaal ging pas om 7:10 uur open. Koffieautomaat werd gerepareerd waardoor er geen koffie beschikbaar was. Later nog met moeite koffie besteld maar dat duurde even omdat het personeel nauwelijks beschikbaar was. We werden niet gezien. Roerei was lauw en er was bijvoorbeeld geen spek bij. Water was door iemand bij een andere tafel op tafel gezet, waardoor wij hier niet meer gebruik van konden maken. Broodjes waren snel op. Producten werden niet aangevuld.

Matratze ist durchgelegen, Federn drücken einem ins Kreuz . Kopfkissen so prall gefüllt, so dass man Genickstarre bekommt , alternative Badtücher falten ergibt Kopfkissen .
Zimmer roh nach Schweiss, Sex und Rauch.
So ein Zimmer kann man nicht weiterempfehlen.

Il personale che ha servito la colazione sembrava un ragazzo al primo mese di alberghiero, traspariva visivamente confusione e commenti poco belli degli altri ospiti della struttura facevano da contorno. Per il resto apparte aver rischiato di farmi male per una maniglia non agganciata correttamente alla parete del bagno, andava tutto bene. Tornerei solo se strettamente necessario, non sembrava un 4 stelle

Wir haben auf der Heimreise hier übernachtet. Für diesen Zweck ist die Lage top, denn es ist wirklich direkt an der Autobahn. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und der Check in war problemlos. Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt eine Tiefgarage und Aufzüge, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Zimmer ist allerdings nicht super sauber gewesen. In einer Ecke lag noch eine Staubmaus und im Bad ist ein wenig Schimmel an der Decke gewesen und generell sind die Badezimmer meiner Meinung nach renovierungsbedürftig. Für die eine Nacht war es ok, denn der Preis war angemessen. Länger würde ich nicht bleiben wollen. Das Frühstück ist enttäuschend gewesen, die Säfte eher Zuckerwasser und Kantinen feeling.
