The breakfast options were quite limited, and food items were frequently not replenished unless specifically requested by guests. To make matters worse, the coffee machine was out of order, with management attributing it to peak season wear — an excuse that falls short of the standards expected at this level. Overall, the property does not quite live up to its 4-star rating. The one saving grace is its convenient location. For those seeking a genuinely superior experience, The Chateau nearby is a far better alternative and truly delivers on a 5-star promise.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The “French village” is small. Although the rooms were cleaned but bed and furniture are old. Lights in the rooms were dimmed. However, the Aircon and fan were good. Overall, the short stay at the hotel was pleasant.

A French-themed resort on a mountain top in Malaysia was always likely to be a slightly bizarre experience, and so it proved. Enjoyable though - reasonably priced, conveniently placed, room was good, staff friendly and helpful, plenty of dining options. Biggest issue was trying not to end up in other people's selfies/photos. In-house laundry service was excellent.

The room is a bit odd as we were given the attic, with no carpet on, and the bathroom shower part is not so clean in the valve-faucet part and the gutter probably clogged a bit as the water takes time to really sink into it.
The table is facing the window and no vanity area with table/consort table and mirror in the room itself and i have to stand in front of the long mirror next to our bed to do my facial regime and donning clothes. Room is big enough for such a set up. The wardrobe given is rather small and could be bigger.
The pungent urine smell as we go up the floor area especially at the G floor is perhaps something the whole maintenance need to check.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The weather was cool and the mountain air seemed fresh and healthy. If you like being with nature this place is highly recommended. We had the company of a family of monkeys inhabiting a tall tree whom we could see at eye level from our hotel room window on the 2nd floor. The room (1 b/r suite) was spacious and comfortable. Sufficient food options were available. Overall we had a very relaxing time.

Comfortable Suite @ French-themed Hill Resort

We stayed two nights in the one bedroom suite and we enjoyed ourselves. It is very spacious and everything is still functioning except the elevator that has been down a few times but luckily we were on the first floor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast buffet was also a big plus. Overall, it was a pleasant getaway for us to chill in the cold weather and soak in the unique architecture surrounded by amazing greenery. Grateful that it could withstand the pandemic and continue to be a great escape not too far from KL.

For a “4-star hotel”, this is terrible. The mattress is so hard and not comfortable. The panel behind the headboard where they put the bedside lamp is so dusty like it hasn’t been cleaned for months. The bathroom is so stained and the tap knob is loose. It appears that the hotel has been so neglected over the years, or they actually want to keep the ‘old-world charm’ (I’m being sarcastic here!). It’s a shame that the façade still looks great from the outside, but the inside looks like a really cheap lodging!

I like the viewed and all staf are very kind.an im very happy because i get decorations for my anniversary .foc when you write a request vacation for anniversary.
I get 3 rooms for only rm288 pernight.is very cheap .i get 4 bfast .the room is connected each other.my kids is beside our room.bfast had so variety. But for foods.its quiet expensive for us have ,5 kids.
Rabbit park is not like last time.its small and so stinky.
The Japanese park is nice.have a shuttle .and view is so nice .

We stayed for 2 nights. The resort has a lot of potential given the architecture & the beautiful scenery. However, this place is in great need of some tender, loving care. The hotel rooms are very dated. The buildings could do with some maintenance. When asking for room service they only had a few items available on the menu which has disappointing. There are only a couple of restaurants to eat from & the food is very average for what they charge. Breakfast was ok. To conclude, I do not plan to return to this resort.

Now is not a right time to travel there.

No food to eat as only one restaurant is operating (actually 2 but only can say 1 is operating as the staff is running to 2 kitchen in one restaurant for 2 types of menu).

3 nights having kiddie food is a no no for adult.

The place is run down probably aged, and may be due to MCO / RMCO.

It’s only the weather that made this trip happened.

Weather is cooling, and with rains.

Good to walk around the Japanese Garden and botanical garden.

Overall is okay stay for now.

the property is old and needs refurbishing. The beds however were clean and comfy. The bathroom is in a very bad state. Looks dirty and water gets everywhere even with the shower curtain. It is very difficult for old and short people to get into the long bath to have a shower as it is set very high. The breakfast buffet is nice with a large array of food, both western and local. The staff were generally okay except for a Malay lady at the egg counter (upstairs) on 16/2/2020 who was absolutely rude when we asked for an omelette a little runny. She brushed us off by saying you have to wait long in a rude manner and topped it off with a frown. Colmar should look into this seriously or they will be losing their customers.

Like the place as it is located inside french village with a few restaurants for dining. Good for family with young children as we don't need to travel far to look for food. However, the condition of the room should be upgraded. The lamps at bedside table are not functioning, the ceiling lamp is very dim, the kettle has stains in it, and the floor is not very clean. Hope the management can look into the problem and rectify it.

The room is cheap. For the price, you get breakfast, the cooling weather and a nice from the hotel room. There. Is. Nothing much to do here. Good opportunity to spend time with your family slowly strolling around the hotel. Forget about the rabbit farm. Just go to the Japanese village.

1. my unit did not have a kettle although had coffee/tea. Mentioned to Room Supervisor and also Reception (on different occasion) but no action.
2. needed Panadol desperately but 7-11 was closed at 10pm already. There were staff inside but no one was bothered despite me banging on the door for sometime (they were aware I was there and what i wanted)
I asked at Hotel Reception but front desk was not helpful. I insisted he called the office to ask around then only he did but halfheartedly. Could not get any.
I finally went to several shops to ask the shop assistants there and managed to get some from a friendly shopkeepr in the souvenir shop.
3. i never go back there even if it is free !

Nice place, beautiful surrounding. Pleasant for snapping a lot of memorable photos. However attraction places such as Japanese Tea Garden, Botanical Garden and especially Animal (Rabbit) Farm to have major upgrade. Not attractive anymore and poor maintenance.

The room is spacious and comfortable although everything looks a bit old. The staffs are nice and friendly.

Some of the power plugs are loose, so need to be careful when want to use them. One funny thing is that the water kettle is far away from the power plug and the wire is short, so I have to boiled water on the floor.

It had this old French colonial vibe to the place, but that also means in order to upkeep to that style, the place is old. The king suite was alright, the hotel was quite old and it really wasn’t worth staying there for the price you would pay. Breakfast buffet was alright, menu kinda changed daily. I love how instagrammable the hotel is. Almost every corner is instagram worthy. But the choice is food is quite narrow. The breakfast buffet is marvelous. However for lunch and dinner I find it's quite hard for me as I spent 2 nights in the hotel. basically only 3 restaurants there and the limited choice of food makes me bored somehow. overall, it is worth it to stay here.

The staffs are friendly and helpful..Thus, a big family like mine need to spend quite big amount bcoz the food quite expensive.. 7E closed too early during weekends..and not much foods in it..
A bit disappointed becoz we r not been told about the entrances fees and the cashier at the 1st post told us that we will get our refund when we checkout from the room at the next day...but it was really frustrated bcoz we didn't get fully refund and only get refund for 2 pax and the reason given was they already charged it for the entrance fee at Japanese Park and Pet Farm even if we didn't went there.!!
Overall, the place was ok but feels like being force to pay for the place that i'm not willing to go..
